Minnesota Twins SP Mike Pelfrey made the start for Triple-A Rochester Tuesday, March 25, after his second-to-last spring start was rained out Monday, March 24. He will come back on short rest to start the spring finale Saturday, March 29, against the Boston Red Sox.

Minnesota Twins SP Mike Pelfrey is excited to be back with the organization, and he feels comfortable with pitching coach Rick Anderson. "This is where I wanted to be," Pelfrey said Saturday, Jan. 25. "I'm happy that I had that chance. I'm glad to be back." Pelfrey, who returned from Tommy John surgery last season, feels he will be much better in 2014 now that he is not worried about his elbow.

The Minnesota Twins officially announced the signing of SP Mike Pelfrey Monday, Dec. 23. Pelfrey passed his physical exam late last week. He has a two-year deal worth $11 million, and the deal includes up to $3.5 million in incentives.

They've also asked about free-agent SPs Ervin Santana (Royals) and Ubaldo Jimenez (Indians), as well as SPs Phil Hughes (Yankees), Scott Feldman (Orioles) and Mike Pelfrey (Twins).
