Royals | Luke Hochevar could be traded |
Wed, 27 Jul 2016 10:44:37 -0700
Kansas City Royals RP Luke Hochevar is available on the trade market because he will be a free agent at the end of the season.
Fantasy Tip: Hochevar is a low-end own in cavernous mixed and AL-only leagues, but he can help in those deep settings by stabilizing your ratios and padding the strikeout column. Over the past two seasons, Hochevar has a 3.78 ERA, a 1.19 WHIP and 89 strikeouts through 88 innings pitched.

Kansas City Royals RP Luke Hochevar's (elbow) elbow is feeling better, according to manager Ned Yost. He'll play catch this afternoon and is "probably" available for Monday, May 2, against the Washington Nationals.
Fantasy Tip: For those who participate in leagues that score holds, or just generally use Hochevar in deeper leagues for his desirable stats, it looks like he should be good to go again in fantasy lineups starting tonight. He was unavailable yesterday, but appears to already be over the issue.

Royals | Luke Hochevar throwing curve again |
Mon, 02 Mar 2015 04:45:49 -0800
Kansas City Royals RP Luke Hochevar (elbow) is throwing his curveball in spring camp, even though that was the pitch that blew out his elbow and forced him into Tommy John surgery.
Fantasy Tip: Hochevar's thinking is to go back to what worked before the injury, and his curve made Hochevar an important piece of the bullpen. In leagues with more of an emphasis on relievers, Hochevar could be more valuable, but it will take time for him to return.

Royals | Luke Hochevar uncertain for opener |
Wed, 18 Feb 2015 21:49:02 -0800
Kansas City Royals RP Luke Hochevar (elbow) is making his way back from Tommy John surgery and his readiness for opening day is in question. He has yet to experience a setback in rehab, but is still considered behind his teammates in the preseason progression. While other pitchers are throwing bullpen sessions every other day, Hochevar has been assigned two days off in between mound appearances.
Fantasy Tip: Hochevar is no longer in the plans for the rotation, but he is expected to be an important part of the team's bullpen.
