Blue Jays | Toronto sluggers set for bad game?

Wed, 21 Oct 2015 10:12:12 -0700

Toronto Blue Jays OF Jose Bautista (3-for-18) and SS Troy Tulowitzki (3-for-17) have struggled in their careers against Kansas City Royals SP Edinson Volquez, who will start Game 5 of the American League Championship Series Wednesday, Oct. 21. 1B Edwin Encarnacion has three walks and a home run for a .250/.400/.500 slash line in his career off Volquez.

Fantasy Tip: All of Toronto's sluggers can go off at any time but will be expensive on FantasyScore. It's worth your while to find space for at least one of them today, though, but Josh Donaldson ($5,000, 10.0% of cap) may be your best bet.

Blue Jays | Toronto sluggers struggled against Young

Tue, 20 Oct 2015 10:03:53 -0700

Toronto Blue Jays 3B Josh Donaldson (1-for-16), SS Troy Tulowitzki (2-for-11) and OF Jose Bautista (3-for-16) have all struggled in their careers against Kansas City Royals SP Chris R. Young, the Game 4 starter Tuesday, Oct. 20.

Fantasy Tip: Young has pitched well for the Royals as a swing man this year. However, despite the bad career results in limited at-bats against Young, all of Toronto's sluggers aren't bad picks on FantasyScore in Game 4 in an excellent hitting environment against a fly-ball pitcher.

Blue Jays | Troy Tulowitzki drives in four

Mon, 12 Oct 2015 04:14:10 -0700

Toronto Blue Jays SS Troy Tulowitzki homered and drove in four runs Sunday, Oct. 11, as the Blue Jays beat the Texas Rangers 5-1.

Fantasy Tip: Tulowitzki ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) had been in a slump since returning to the Toronto lineup after missing 19 games due to injury. Whether it is the warm Texas air or something else that agrees with him, he may be back in action. He is worth the pickup in FantasyScore if starting.

Blue Jays | Troy Tulowitzki hitting fifth

Thu, 08 Oct 2015 09:17:07 -0700

Toronto Blue Jays SS Troy Tulowitzki is hitting fifth Thursday, Oct. 8, in Game 1 of the American League Division Series.

Fantasy Tip: Tulo ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) has a lofty .407-1-4 line in 27 at-bats against Yovani Gallardo. However, he played just two games since Sept. 12 because of a shoulder injury. He's a risky play on FantasyScore in a light pool.

Blue Jays | Troy Tulowitzki out Saturday

Sat, 03 Oct 2015 11:46:44 -0700

Toronto Blue Jays SS Troy Tulowitzki is not in the starting lineup against Tampa Bay Rays SP Chris Archer Saturday, Oct. 3. INF Ryan Goins will play shortstop and bat eighth, while INF Cliff Pennington plays second base and bats ninth.

Fantasy Tip: This was a scheduled off day for Tulowitzki ($3,800, 7.6% of cap), who went 2-for-5 in his return to action Friday, Oct. 2. Goins ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) is batting .474 over the past seven days and is worth considering as a FantasyScore value play, while Pennington ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is 1-for-13 over the same stretch and should be ignored in FantasyScore.

Fri, 02 Oct 2015 19:46:17 -0700

Blue Jays | Plan for Troy Tulowitzki

Fri, 02 Oct 2015 14:09:40 -0700

Updating an ongoing story, Toronto Blue Jays SS Troy Tulowitzki (shoulder) will sit Saturday, Oct. 3, and start the season finale against the Tampa Bay Rays Sunday, Oct. 4.

Fantasy Tip: Seasonal owners have two games left of Tulowitzki ($3,800, 7.6% of cap), so it isn't out of the question to look for a shortstop who is going to play three. Plus, there is no guarantee he doesn't have a setback, either. FantasyScore players have a potential value play on their hands, as Tulowitzki's price has dropped significantly.

Blue Jays | Troy Tulowitzki starting vs. Rays

Fri, 02 Oct 2015 12:47:34 -0700

Updating a previous report, Toronto Blue Jays SS Troy Tulowitzki (shoulder) is starting at shortstop and batting seventh against Tampa Bay Rays SP Erasmo Ramirez Friday, Oct. 2.

Fantasy Tip: Reiterating a previous tip, FantasyScore players should view Tulowitzki ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) as a viable flier Friday. In the highest scoring lineup in the league, Tulowotzki's upside and cap hit trump his potential injury limitations. Still, he is far from a safe play.

Blue Jays | A chance Troy Tulowitzki plays

Fri, 02 Oct 2015 12:38:30 -0700

Toronto Blue Jays SS Troy Tulowitzki (shoulder) said there is a chance he could play against Tampa Bay Rays SP Erasmo Ramirez Friday, Oct. 2, but he would have to talk to manager John Gibbons about it first.

Fantasy Tip: Tulowitzki ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) is working his way back from a serious injury and hasn't played since Saturday, Sept. 12. His FantasyScore price makes him an attractive dice roll for contests, but he shouldn't be viewed as anything but a gamble. Continue to check back for updates.
