Pittsburgh Pirates OF Andrew McCutchen (knee) took some down time to allow his left knee to settle, but he is going through a normal offseason at this point, according to general manager Neal Huntington.

Fantasy Tip: McCutchen is an elite fantasy option who should be targeted in the middle of the first round of drafts this spring. Over the past four years, McCutchen has averaged 96 runs, 25 home runs, 90 RBI and 19 stolen bases with a .313/.404/.523 slash line.

Fantasy Tip: Despite the success for McCutchen ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) against Arrieta in the past, he's pretty expensive to rely on at FantasyScore against a Cy Young candidate this season. Plus, McCutchen isn't coming in hot; he went 26-for-110 (.236) in the last month of the season.

Fantasy Tip: McCutchen ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) posted a .348/.470/.609 slash line with 18 runs, five home runs, 19 RBI and two stolen bases in August, and he projects to finish the season strong. Harrison ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) has been relegated to a bench role of late, but he stands as a viable value option for FantasyScore players Thursday. He does sport an underwhelming .547 OPS since returning from the disabled list Friday, Aug. 21, though.

Fantasy Tip: McCutchen ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) probably is receiving a day off and should return to the lineup in the next game. Ishikawa ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) has only one hit in his last 10 games and is should be avoided on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: McCutchen ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) was slumping a bit at the end of July, but he is hitting .448 with nine RBI and 10 runs scored over his last nine games. He is worth his hefty price tag at FantasyScore when he is hitting like this.
