Indians | Michael Brantley progressing

Mon, 13 Jun 2016 16:27:40 -0700

Cleveland Indians OF Michael Brantley (shoulder) is still in soft-toss phase, according to manager Terry Francona. "He's progressing just like he's supposed to and he feels really good about it," Francona added.

Fantasy Tip: That's a good sign that Brantley is feeling good, as the 29-year-old tries to work his way back from his latest shoulder issue. Although his .231/.279/.282 line looks disappointing, owners should remember that he was coming back from offseason shoulder surgery and still needs time to settle in again. When he's ready to return, that will be bad news for both Lonnie Chisenhall and Tyler Naquin.

Indians | Michael Brantley out for long period?

Mon, 06 Jun 2016 11:33:16 -0700

Cleveland Indians OF Michael Brantley (shoulder) could miss a significant amount of time with his shoulder injury, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Brantley started the year on the DL and had only nine hits in 39 at-bats after his return but quickly went back on the DL. It's turning out to be another lost season for the Indians outfielder, but you must keep him stashed everywhere. In the meantime, Jose Ramirez has reaped most of the benefits and has become a contributor in most deep mixed and AL-only leagues. Tyler Naquin has homered in three straight games and should see decent playing time with Marlon Byrd suspended for the rest of the season, too.

Indians | Michael Brantley starting to swing

Fri, 27 May 2016 13:34:06 -0700

Fantasy Tip: It's good progress for Brantley, but the way things are going now, it's looking like this could be a lost season for the outfielder. Mon, 23 May 2016 12:56:31 -0700

Cleveland Indians OF Michael Brantley (shoulder) will resume swinging Tuesday, May 24, and continue doing so through the team's road trip. He'll be re-evaluated when the Indians return home.
