|Blue Jays | Marco Estrada inks two-year deal with Jays|
Fri, 13 Nov 2015 14:00:27 -0800
Fantasy Tip: It was a storybook season for Estrada, as he became a key cog in the rotation and helped the Blue Jays to a playoff berth. His 13 wins, 3.13 ERA and 1.04 WHIP are quality numbers, but don't overlook his 4.40 FIP and lackluster 6.5 K/9. Estrada needs high-end ratios to account for his low-strikeout total, and there is potential for regression. Beware not to reach for him in drafts next spring based on a career-best showing in 2015.

|Blue Jays | TOR talking to Marco Estrada|
Wed, 11 Nov 2015 18:33:18 -0800
The Toronto Blue Jays are talking to SP Marco Estrada about a multi-year contract, according to multiple major league sources. The team had previously offered him a one-year, $15.8 million qualifying offer.
Fantasy Tip: If Estrada doesn't agree to the multi-year contract offer or qualifying offer by Friday, Nov. 13, he will become a free agent who is eligible to sign with any club. The Jays would then receive a compensatory draft pick in 2016 if he chooses to sign elsewhere. The 32-year-old right-hander went 13-8 with a 3.13 ERA in 34 games (28 starts) in 2015 and posted a 2.33 ERA over three postseason starts.

|Blue Jays | Marco Estrada receives qualifying offer|
Fri, 06 Nov 2015 09:58:58 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Estrada had a fine year in Toronto, going 13-8 with a 3.13 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 6.5 strikeouts per nine innings. He actually pitched better at hitter-friendly Rogers Centre than he did on the road, too. However, it'd probably be best for Estrada's fantasy value if he left for a more pitcher-friendly environment with his reputation for allowing the long ball.

|Blue Jays | Marco Estrada hurls gem in Game 5|
Wed, 21 Oct 2015 17:50:36 -0700
Toronto Blue Jays SP Marco Estrada allowed one run on three hits over 7 2/3 innings in a victory over the Kansas City Royals in Game 5 of the American League Championship Series Wednesday, Oct. 21. He walked one and struck out five, improving to 2-1 this postseason.
Fantasy Tip: Estrada ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) faced the minimum 20 batters before allowing a two-out single to Lorenzo Cain in the sixth inning and carried a one-hitter into the eighth inning. Opposing hitters are batting just .194 against him in the playoffs, so if the Royals advance to the World Series, he may be worth using again in FantasyScore.

|Blue Jays | Marco Estrada to pitch ALCS Game 5|
Tue, 20 Oct 2015 13:33:23 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Considering Kansas City jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the series, Estrada ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) may be a risk. In addition, the club may have some relief pitchers ready to go in case Estrada falters again. Kansas City might win a fifth game with Edinson Volquez on the mound, so steer clear.

|Blue Jays | Toronto announces ALCS rotation|
Thu, 15 Oct 2015 14:31:02 -0700
Toronto Blue Jays SPs Marco Estrada, David Price, Marcus Stroman and R.A. Dickey will start Games 1 through 4 in the American League Championship Series against the Kansas City Royals, which begins Friday, Oct. 16.
Fantasy Tip: The Toronto rotation isn't a huge shock considering their usage of their starters in the American League Division Series. Estrada checks out a potential No. 2 pitcher option for FantasyScore contests, but you'll want to see the entire player pool before locking in your lineups.

|Blue Jays | Marco Estrada solid in ALDS Game 3|
Mon, 12 Oct 2015 04:17:30 -0700
Toronto Blue Jays SP Marco Estrada limited the Texas Rangers to one run and five hits over 6 1/3 innings, with four strikeouts and no walks, in a 5-1 victory on Sunday, Oct. 11. The win cut Toronto's deficit to two games to one in the American League Division Series.
Fantasy Tip: Estrada ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) did what David Price and Marcus Stroman couldn;t do and that's win. Granted, the bullpen did Stroman no favors, but Estrada looked sharp at times in his postseason debut. He should be a part of the starting rotation and someone to look forward to in 2016. If he gets another start in this postseason, take the chance in FantasyScore.

|Blue Jays | Marcus Stroman to start Game 2|
Tue, 06 Oct 2015 13:42:31 -0700
Toronto Blue Jays SP Marcus Stroman will start in Game 2 of the division series against the Texas Rangers Friday, Oct. 9. SPs Marco Estrada and R.A. Dickey will pitch in Games 3 and 4, and it's unknown who will start Game 3.
Fantasy Tip: It's a miraculous accomplishment for a pitcher that tore the ACL in his knee earlier this year. The risk surrounding Stroman ($7,800, 15.6% of cap) is clear, as he's made only four starts this season, although the results were very encouraging with five runs allowed and 18 strikeouts in 27 innings last month. He's also extremely fresh, making him a risk/reward selection in the divisional round.

Thu, 17 Sep 2015 19:21:40 -0700

|Blue Jays | Marco Estrada on a roll|
Thu, 17 Sep 2015 10:32:49 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Against the Atlanta Braves tonight, the second-worst team in all of baseball, Estrada ($7,000, 14.0% of cap) has a good chance of keeping his strong run going. He is a very good choice for one of your pitching spots tonight on FantasyScore.
