Washington Nationals OF Denard Span's 28 doubles rank third in the National League. Span has already reached his 2013 total of 28, and he is on pace to shatter his previous high of 38 in 2012.
Fantasy Tip: Span's extra-base hits are a huge bonus in points leagues. He also sets the table for a solid Nationals' lineup and has plus-speed. Consider adding Span in all formats, especially if you're searching for runs scored. He is available in more leagues than he should be.

Washington Nationals OF Bryce Harper (thumb) reached base in both of his plate appearances for Class A Potomac Monday, June 23, singling to left field and drawing a walk. He played in left for three innings and is on track to log five frames in center field Tuesday, June 24. He's likely to play all three outfield spots when he returns, sharing time with Ryan Zimmerman, Denard Span and Jayson Werth.
Fantasy Tip: It's looking like he'll be back at least before the next weekly lineup transaction period, so prepare your squad ahead of time.

Washington Nationals 3B Ryan Zimmerman (thumb) was shagging balls in left field for the second straight day Saturday, May 17, and it's unclear which position he'll play when he returns from the disabled list. The team isn't saying what their plans are. "We haven't said anything to him," one Nationals official said. "But we're watching him. Put him out there, let him go." 2B Danny Espinosa could remain in the lineup at second base if Zimmerman is moved to left field. Zimmerman could remain in left field with OF Bryce Harper (thumb) playing some center field when he returns from the DL.
Fantasy Tip: The loser in this arrangement would be Denard Span, once Harper returns and if the team actually moves forward with Zimmerman in left field. However, everything at this point is pure speculation.
