White Sox | Chris Sale upset about throwbacks |
Sat, 23 Jul 2016 18:07:19 -0700
Updating previous reports, Chicago White Sox SP Chris Sale was scratched from his start against the Detroit Tigers Saturday, July 23, after he had a non-physical confrontation with a member of the front office regarding his displeasure with having to wear a throwback uniform for the game. The matter escalated and the club decided to send him home, with P Matt Albers receiving the spot start in his place.
Fantasy Tip: It is uncertain if Sale will face any further disciplinary action for this incident or if this will increase the likelihood of the 27-year-old southpaw being dealt to a contender. Regardless of the team he is pitching for, Sale should be viewed as a must-start option in all fantasy format every time he takes the mound.

White Sox | Chris Sale scratched Saturday |
Sat, 23 Jul 2016 15:08:16 -0700
Chicago White Sox SP Chris Sale (illness) was scratched from his start Saturday, July 23, due to the flu. RP Matt Albers will make the emergency start.
Fantasy Tip: Twitter was buzzing for a bit before it was learned that it was due to an illness and not because of a trade in the works. Albers has worked an inning in each of the last two days, and he's not likely to have much in the tank. Avoid him in DFS.

White Sox | David Robertson expected back Sunday |
Thu, 28 Apr 2016 14:52:12 -0700
Updating a previous report, Chicago White Sox RP David Robertson is expected to return to the team Sunday, May 1. RP Nate Jones will be the primary closer with Robertson unavailable, but RPs Matt Albers and Zach Duke are possibilities, too, according to manager Robin Ventura.
Fantasy Tip: Jones is worth a flier if you're desperate for saves, but otherwise, Jones, Albers and Duke are fantasy afterthoughts in the majority of leagues. It is nice to know that Jones is next in line, though, so saves vultures could potentially hang onto him. Robertson's job is one of the most secure in the majors, though.
