The Milwaukee Brewers are interested in free-agent RP Carlos Marmol (Dodgers). Three to four teams are interested in his services.

Los Angeles Dodgers RP Carlos Marmol is likely to pitch in middle relief for the team. He allowed two home runs in three innings with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and tossed two scoreless innings with Double-A Chattanooga down on the farm. He went 2-4 with a 5.86 ERA and 32 strikeouts in 21 games for the Chicago Cubs earlier this year.
Fantasy Tip: The Blue are set with Kenley Jansen as their closer. Marmol won't threaten for the closer role at any point for the rest of the season and probably won't be an option to pitch meaningful late innings, either. He shouldn't be considered in fantasy circles.

The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled RP Carlos Marmol from the minors Tuesday, July 23, and optioned RP Juan Dominguez in a corresponding move.

Los Angeles Dodgers RP Carlos Marmol made his third appearance for Class A Advanced Rancho Cucamonga on Tuesday, July 16, pitching a scoreless inning. It's the first time in three opportunities that Marmol hasn't allowed a run for the Quakes.
Fantasy Tip: It'll be awhile before Marmol gains fantasy relevance again, if he does.

Los Angeles Dodgers RP Carlos Marmol has cleared outright waivers and has accepted a minor league assignment.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are sending RP Carlos Marmol to the minors in hopes that they can fix a delivery issue. A source said Marmol "agreed to work with them" and go to the minors as a condition of the trade with the Chicago Cubs. Marmol has more than six years of major league service time and thus has the right to decline an outright minor league assignment. He apparently will waive that right if he clears waivers this week. The Cubs have agreed to pay nearly $2 million of his remaining $4.8 million salary this year. The Cubs also took on all of the $2.375 million still owed to RP Matt Guerrier, who was acquired in the deal from the Dodgers.
Fantasy Tip: The only place Marmol should be owned is in the deepest of NL-only formats. There is no guarantee he'll make it back to the big leagues, and even less of a chance that he'll pitch in meaningful innings out of the bullpen if he does.

Updating previous reports, Los Angeles Dodgers RP Carlos Marmol is on outright waivers. It's only procedural so he can go to minors.
Wed, 03 Jul 2013 09:29:39 -0700
Contrary to a previous report, a source said the Los Angeles Dodgers have not designated RP Carlos Marmol for assignment.
Fantasy Tip: Perhaps not yet. But it's a logical move that could happen soon. Either way, he's unlikely to help outside of NL-only speculation unless plenty of dominoes fall in this bullpen.

The Los Angeles Dodgers designated RP Carlos Marmol for assignment.
Fantasy Tip: Keith Law reported the team intended to send him to the minors for a few outings to work on some things. This transaction is likely to facilitate that move, since he's unlikely to be claimed due to his large salary.
