Minnesota Twins SP Ricky Nolasco (elbow) was activated from the 15-day disabled list Friday, Aug. 15.
Fantasy Tip: Nolasco will return to face the Kansas City Royals tonight. It's definitely not the best matchup for him, as the Royals are red-hot of late. Look elsewhere for your starting pitcher in daily leagues.

Updating a previous report, Minnesota Twins SP Ricky Nolasco (elbow) is listed as the probable starter for Friday, Aug. 15, against the Kansas City Royals. He allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings in his latest minor-league rehab start with Class A Cedar Rapids Sunday, Aug. 10. "He's got to throw a side (session)," manager Ron Gardenhire said.
Fantasy Tip: Nolasco, who hasn't been that effective this season, will be working on a pitch count, so his innings and production could be impacted by those restrictions. He will only be worth using in the deepest of AL-only fantasy leagues upon his return.

Minnesota Twins SP Ricky Nolasco (elbow) is expected to return to the team's rotation as soon as Friday, Aug. 15, barring any setbacks.
Fantasy Tip: Nolasco has been a disaster for the team this season, posting a 5-7 record with a 5.90 ERA and a 1.62 WHIP while the opponent is batting .330 against him. Only fantasy owners in deeper AL-only fantasy leagues need to bother with him at this point.

Tue, 08 Jul 2014 12:21:01 -0700
The Minnesota Twins will place SP Ricky Nolasco (elbow) on the 15-day disabled list with a right elbow strain Tuesday, July 8. OF Chris Herrmann will be recalled from Triple-A Rochester. The move is retroactive to July 6. The Twins haven't announced who'll replace Nolasco in the rotation, but it could be SPs Samuel Deduno or Anthony Swarzak. Herrmann was batting .314 with two home runs and 15 RBIs with Rochester and had been splitting time between catcher and the outfield.
Fantasy Tip: Nolasco should only be held onto in AL-only leagues at this point. Deduno or Swarzak likely only have short-term value in the starting rotation and aren't worth much consideration, aside from AL leagues.
