Indians | Brandon Moss not in the lineup

Fri, 24 Jul 2015 12:26:47 -0700

Cleveland Indians OF Brandon Moss is not in the starting lineup against Chicago White Sox SP Jose Quintana Friday, July 24. SS Mike Aviles will start in left field and is batting ninth in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Moss ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) likely is sitting out because the team is facing a left-handed pitcher. Aviles ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) only has five hits in his last nine games and is not a great option for owners on FantasyScore.

Indians | Brandon Moss sitting vs. Oakland

Sun, 12 Jul 2015 07:17:04 -0700

Cleveland Indians OF Brandon Moss is not in the starting lineup Sunday, July 12. SS Jose Ramirez draws into the lineup and is playing second base and batting ninth against Oakland Athletics SP Sonny Gray Sunday. 2B Jason Kipnis is serving as the designated hitter and leading off.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Moss ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) in all fantasy formats Sunday. He enters the All-Star break with solid power totals (14 home runs and 46 RBI) but lackluster ratios (.221/.297/.429 slash line). Ramirez is nothing more than a dice roll Sunday, and FantasyScore players should likely look elsewhere.

Indians | Brandon Moss out vs. lefty

Thu, 09 Jul 2015 12:34:41 -0700

Cleveland Indians OF Brandon Moss is not in the lineup against Houston Astros left-handed SP Brett Oberholtzer Thursday, July 9. OF David Murphy is starting in right field and hitting seventh.

Fantasy Tip: Murphy ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) typically only starts against right-handed pitchers, but he's receiving a start after a clutch late-inning hit off a southpaw last night. He does have four hits in 10 at-bats against lefties, but he'll remain a weak play on FantasyScore because of the lefty-on-lefty factor.

Sat, 04 Jul 2015 10:46:38 -0700

Cleveland Indians 1B Carlos Santana is back in the starting lineup against the Pittsburgh Pirates Saturday, July 4, batting fifth. 1B/OF Brandon Moss, who started at first base Friday, July 3, will play right field and bat seventh, with OF David Murphy receiving the day off.

Indians | Brandon Moss drives in five

Wed, 01 Jul 2015 20:20:20 -0700

Cleveland Indians 1B Brandon Moss went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and five RBI in an 8-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays Wednesday, July 1.

Indians | Brandon Moss swats homer

Tue, 02 Jun 2015 20:41:17 -0700

Cleveland Indians OF Brandon Moss had three hits, including a solo home run during Cleveland's 2-1 win over the Kansas City Royals Tuesday, June 2.

Fantasy Tip: It was Moss' ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) ninth long fly of the season, and his fifth over his last 23 games. He is batting .269 during the span with 11 runs and 11 RBI. While he hasn't exactly hit the ground running with the Tribe, Moss has been better of late, and against right-handed hurlers, he is an upside FantasyScore option at his cap hit.

Indians | Brandon Moss out of the lineup

Wed, 27 May 2015 06:44:13 -0700

Cleveland Indians OF Brandon Moss is not in the starting lineup against the Texas Rangers Wednesday, May 27. OF David Murphy is batting fourth and playing right field Wednesday.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Moss ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) in all fantasy formats Wednesday. He is currently mired in a 12-for-59 funk with just four runs, two home runs and six RBI over his past 16 games. Murphy ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) is 30-for-89 (.337/.368/.494 slash line) against right-handed pitchers this season, and he is hitting behind the team's top three hitters. He is an excellent low-priced target Wednesday.

Indians | Brandon Moss out vs. White Sox

Thu, 21 May 2015 14:37:14 -0700

Cleveland Indians OF Brandon Moss is not in the starting lineup against the Chicago White Sox Thursday, May 21.

Fantasy Tip: Moss ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) will likely regulate back to starting solely against right-handed pitchers with Carlos Santana ($5,000, 10.0% of cap) back in the mix after missing four games with back spasms. Moss hasn't taken off at the dish thus far, and he is currently sporting a .706 OPS with 15 runs, six home runs and 24 RBI.
