Washington Nationals 2B Dan Uggla could opt-out of his minor league deal Wednesday, April 1. He has played well this spring, batting .323 with two home runs, six RBIs and an OPS of 1.042 in 31 at-bats.
Fantasy Tip: If the Nationals don't hold on to him, a number of other MLB teams could be in the market for Uggla ($2,000, 4.0% of cap), whose strong performance this spring may be related to offseason treatment designed to restore his balance after he had suffered several undetected concussions. Assuming he is on a major league roster at the beginning of the season, he could be worth a flier in FantasyScore.

Washington Nationals 2B Dan Uggla is hitting .310 with two homers and six RBIs in 29 spring at-bats.
Fantasy Tip: Uggla could be a nice diamond in the rough to polish off after two miserable years. 3B Anthony Rendon (knee) could be iffy for the start of the season, and 2B Yunel Escobar (oblique) missed time in camp. At $2,000 (4.0% of your cap), Uggla could be a flyer worth using on FantasyScore early on.

San Francisco Giants INF Matt Duffy and OF Jarrett Parker had their contracts purchased from Double-A Richmond Friday, August 1. The transactions correspond with OF Tyler Colvin and 2B Dan Uggla being designated for assignment.
Fantasy Tip: Take a wait-and-see approach with Duffy and Parker. They could gain NL-only value, if they can get semi-regular playing time. Duffy has shown solid contact skills with Richmond, whereas Parker has more pop. Colvin and Uggla are only worth a roster spot in the deepest NL-only formats.

Updating a previous report, the San Francisco Giants have not released 2B Dan Uggla. It was reported by multiple sources that Uggla had been released after a five-day stint with the club.
Fantasy Tip: The team might be hanging onto him in the event they cannot make a deal for an upgrade before the non-waiver trade deadline. There have been multiple reports that the team is interested in Cleveland Indians SS Asdrubal Cabrera, who can also play second base. Stay tuned.
