MLB | Bud Selig may intervene in Theo Epstein deal

A deal is apparently close to being finalized Friday, Oct. 21, but if it lingers, Selig may step in to help mediate the impasse.

San Diego Padres general manager Jed Hoyer will be joining Epstein in Chicago as the general manager. Padres assistant general manager Jason McLeod will also be heading to Chicago when the deal is done.
