Giants | Pablo Sandoval returns

Tue, 08 Jul 2014 15:46:45 -0700

San Francisco Giants 3B Pablo Sandoval (elbow) returned to the lineup Tuesday, July 8, against the Oakland Athletics.

Fantasy Tip: If Sandoval is your starting third basemen, return him to your lineups. It was a rough April for Sandoval, but his bat has heated up, and he is a low-end starting 3B in standard leagues.

Giants | Pablo Sandoval cannot straighten arm

Mon, 07 Jul 2014 18:18:01 -0700

Updating a previous report, San Francisco Giants 3B Pablo Sandoval (elbow) still cannot straighten his arm, and he has not swung a bat. Manager Bruce Bochy would not rule out using him off the bench Monday, July 7, however.

Fantasy Tip: Despite Bochy's indication that Sandoval might be available, it's clear he isn't close to 100 percent. Fantasy owners, especially those in daily formats, should avoid using Sandoval in the active lineup until he is officially able to return and prove his health in one full game.
