Bills | Several key Bills return to practice

Sat, 22 Aug 2015 12:17:03 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson (hamstring) and WRs Sammy Watkins (glute), Robert Woods (hip) and Marcus Easley (knee) all returned to practice Saturday, Aug. 22.

Fantasy Tip: Watkins is the biggest return for Buffalo, although Jackson and Woods are important offensive pieces as well. When healthy, Watkins can achieve WR2 production. Woods is an undervalued sleeper and should be drafted as a low-end WR4 to high-end WR5. Jackson was a PPR monster last season, but he won't see as much playing time as long as LeSean McCoy is healthy. View him as a RB4 in PPR leagues. Easley can be left on waivers.

Bills | Fred Jackson back at practice

Sat, 22 Aug 2015 07:05:07 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson (hamstring) is participating in practice Saturday, Aug. 22.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson has missed a few weeks of practice because of his hamstring injury, but appears to be recovered from the injury. Jackson likely will be the No. 2 running back this season and could be a late-round option.

Bills | Fred Jackson focused mentally

Wed, 19 Aug 2015 12:53:29 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson (hamstring) is focused on being prepared mentally while he's sidelined with a nagging hamstring injury. "We have to just get in the playbook and know what to expect when the play is called and know what kind of looks we'll get and just be prepared mentally if we can't do it physically." Head coach Rex Ryan hopes Jackson will be well enough in time for the Bills' third preseason game Saturday, Aug. 29.

Fantasy Tip: The Bills are in dire straits with their current running back situation. LeSean McCoy, Jackson, Bryce Brown, Anthony Dixon and Karlos Williams are all dealing with injuries. McCoy should still be ready to go by Week 1, as should Jackson and perhaps some of the others. If McCoy can stay on the field, Jackson won't be nearly as valuable as he was last season, but he still has value in PPR leagues where you should view him as a RB4.

Bills | Fred Jackson has major hamstring injury

Tue, 18 Aug 2015 16:57:15 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson (hamstring) is dealing with a major hamstring injury, according to head coach Rex Ryan. Ryan hopes Jackson will be able to return for their third preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers Saturday, Aug. 29.

Fantasy Tip: The Bills are depleted at running back right now, with LeSean McCoy, Jackson, Anthony Dixon, Bryce Brown and Karlos Williams all banged up. If all are healthy by the time the regular season begins, McCoy should still be considered in low-end RB1 to high-end RB2 territory, while Jackson has RB4 potential with added value in PPR leagues.

Mon, 17 Aug 2015 13:28:03 -0700

Buffalo Bills RBs Fred Jackson (hamstring) and Anthony Dixon (calf) did not practice Monday, Aug. 17.

Fantasy Tip: When healthy, Jackson is the favorite to be the Bills' No. 2 running back behind LeSean McCoy. Dixon will compete with Bryce Brown for the No. 3 spot. Jackson has RB4 potential in PPR leagues if he can play a full season.

Bills | Karlos Williams could be No. 2 RB

Mon, 17 Aug 2015 05:18:00 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB Karlos Williams has a legitimate shot to be the backup running back with RB Fred Jackson (hamstring) and RB Bryce Brown (hamstring) banged up. He has run decisively and been explosive with 63 total yards and a touchdown in the first preseason game.

Fantasy Tip: Williams is worth an RB5 flyer near the end of drafts.

Bills | Fred Jackson sitting out

Mon, 10 Aug 2015 07:19:57 -0700

Fantasy Tip: Jackson is still worth the RB4 grab, but he's devoid of much upside with Shady McCoy in town.

Bills | Fred Jackson out a couple weeks

Fri, 07 Aug 2015 09:44:45 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson (hamstring) left practice Friday, Aug. 7, with a hamstring injury that could keep him out a couple of weeks.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson is expected to be a short-yardage, goal line back. He has plenty of time to get ready for the season and is an RB4 without much upside except in TD-only leagues.

Bills | Fred Jackson favorite for No. 2 RB job

Sun, 05 Jul 2015 07:11:16 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson is expected to be the leading candidate for the No. 2 running back job entering training camp. Jackson will have to contribute on the field if he wants to stay with the team since he does not play special teams.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson should be the favorite since he is the most experienced running back behind LeSean McCoy. Jackson should receive a solid amount of reps during the preseason and could be a late-round option in drafts this season if he wins the job.
