Bears | Brandon Marshall unhappy with QB

Sun, 19 Oct 2014 15:09:39 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall called out QB Jay Cutler in a heated locker room discussion after the team's Week 7 loss against the Miami Dolphins, a source said Sunday, Oct. 19. The source said there "are some very selfish individuals in the locker room." But it's not out of the ordinary for Marshall to strongly voice his opinion to Cutler, as the two are close friends off the field. Marshall also reportedly yelled at PK Robbie Gould.

Fantasy Tip: The argument shouldn't affect fantasy values any, and it is just part of football, competition and losing. If the Bears won this game, obviously things would be just fine.

Bears | Brandon Marshall's injury was serious

Thu, 09 Oct 2014 14:21:27 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall (ankle) said that the ankle injury he suffered in Week 1 should have kept him out for around four weeks, but he battled through it and convinced the team to continue letting him play. He caught three touchdowns in Week 2, but has just six catches in three games since. "So last week was the first week where we really had a chance to get me involved," Marshall said. "The first two weeks, the doctors ruled me out. They said I wasn't going to play and I went to them and said, 'Just make it a game-time decision.'" Head coach Marc Trestman has acknowledged that Marshall has noticeably improved in the last two weeks.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall and the Bears have a tasty matchup against the Atlanta Falcons this weekend. If Marshall is back to full health (he's not on the injury report), he could bounce back in a big way. He'll cost you $7,500 (15.0% of cap).

Bears | Brandon Marshall needs more touches

Mon, 06 Oct 2014 13:21:46 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall needs more touches, according to head coach Marc Trestman. Marshall saw just five targets in Week 5 against the Carolina Panthers.

Fantasy Tip: It may have just been an anomaly, but the five targets are concerning. TE Martellus Bennett and WR Alshon Jeffery have been doing very well this year, which has hurt Marshall's value somewhat. That being said, Marshall is still a WR1 option going forward as long as he's healthy.

Bears | Brandon Marshall feeling better

Sat, 04 Oct 2014 10:20:55 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall (ankle) is feeling better about his hampered ankle injury. Marshall said he feels more explosive and feels like he can "do pretty much everything."

Fantasy Tip: The injury negatively impacted Marshall last week, so this is certainly good news. He'll look to return to old form against the Carolina Panthers in Week 5 and is priced at $7,500 on FantasyScore.

Bears | Brandon Marshall probable for Week 5

Fri, 03 Oct 2014 11:31:01 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall (ankle) is listed as probable for Week 5 against the Carolina Panthers.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall will play against the Panthers, but you have to be concerned about his recent outings while playing banged up. At a price of $7,500 (15.0% of cap), Marshall may once again find it tough to return a profit for you at FantasyScore.

Bears | Full practice for Brandon Marshall

Thu, 02 Oct 2014 14:14:37 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall (ankle) practiced in full for the second straight day Thursday, Oct. 2.

Fantasy Tip: This is great news for Marshall, who appears to be getting past his ankle injury. Even though he hasn't done much the last few weeks while fighting his ailment, Marshall will still cost you $7,500 (15.0% of cap) at FantasyScore against the Carolina Panthers.

Bears | No restrictions for Brandon Marshall

Wed, 01 Oct 2014 15:08:12 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall (ankle) practiced without restrictions Wednesday, Oct. 1, for the first time in a while. "It was good to get him (Marshall) back out there at full speed," head coach Marc Trestman said.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall's nagging ankle injury has limited him to just three catches for 25 yards and a score the last two weeks. The fact that he's back to a full practice early in the week is an encouraging sign that he'll put up better numbers in Week 5 against the Carolina Panthers. However, start him at your own risk at FantasyScore.

Bears | Brandon Marshall questionable

Fri, 26 Sep 2014 11:31:23 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 26, and is questionable for the team's Week 4 game.

Fantasy Tip: If Marshall can't go, look for increased roles for Alshon Jeffery and Matt Forte. The match up against the Packers is a nice one, but the cost of $8,200 in FantasyScore may be a bit of a risk.
