Fri, 30 Sep 2016 15:14:17 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (foot, knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 30, and is not on the injury report for Week 4.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall may receive more targets than usual since Eric Decker will not be able to play. He should be considered a No. 1 or No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues even though he will be facing the Seattle Seahawks defense.

Thu, 29 Sep 2016 18:11:28 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (foot, knee) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Sept. 29.

Wed, 28 Sep 2016 16:34:38 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (foot, knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 28.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall is on track to play in Week 4 and should receive a decent amount of targets during the game. He can be considered a low-end No. 1 or No. 2 receiver in most leagues since he will be facing one of the better defenses in the NFL.

Jets | Brandon Marshall limited in loss

Sun, 25 Sep 2016 21:02:58 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (hip) was active in Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs, he has was limited to three catches for 27 yards despite 10 targets.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall and Ryan Fitzpatrick just weren't on the same page. Until he is 100 percent he should be treated more as a WR2 in all fantasy leagues rather than his usual WR1 status.

Sun, 25 Sep 2016 12:53:11 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (foot, knee) is officially active for the team's Week 3 game.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall is expected to be on a snap count this week, which will hurt his fantasy value. Marshall could still be a starting option for owners, but they should lower their expectations.

Jets | Brandon Marshall likely to be limited

Sun, 25 Sep 2016 06:18:39 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (knee, foot) is expected to be on a snap count for Week 3's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fantasy Tip: It is uncertain if Marshall will be limited to certain situations such as third downs or red-zone possessions or if he will be used primarily as a decoy this afternoon, so DFS players should look for safer receiving options this week. In addition, inclement weather could play a role in the way he's utilized. This development should result in increased playing time for WR Jalin Marshall versus Kansas City.

Jets | Brandon Marshall questionable

Fri, 23 Sep 2016 13:50:53 -0700

Updating a previous report, New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (foot, knee) is officially listed as questionable for Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall may be a game-time decision this week, so owners will need to check the inactive list before deciding on their lineups. Owners should have other options available in case Marshall is not able to play. He can be a starting candidate if he is active for the game.

Jets | Brandon Marshall limited Friday

Fri, 23 Sep 2016 11:49:18 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (knee, foot) returned to limited practice Friday, Sept. 23, and will likely be a game-time decision in Week 3 versus the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fantasy Tip: Owners holding out hope Marshall will suit up in Week 3 can breathe a little easier, although he is certainly not out of the woods yet. Given the Jets play in the late afternoon window Sunday, owners would be wise to expect him to sit this one out and be prepared to make the switch if he is cleared. Quincy Enunwa has emerged as a major factor in the passing game and should be considered a WR2 should Marshall be unable to go.

Jets | Brandon Marshall sits again

Thu, 22 Sep 2016 10:43:51 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (foot, knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to see if Marshall will be able to practice Friday, Sept. 23. He could be a game-time decision, which makes him a risky option for owners. He should be a decent starting option if he plays, but owners should have other options ready if he is ruled out.

Jets | Brandon Marshall has multiple injuries

Wed, 21 Sep 2016 19:00:53 -0700

Updating a previous report, New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (foot, knee) is dealing with a foot injury in addition to the injured medial collateral ligament in his left knee.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall sounds like a huge question mark for Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs. If he is forced to miss time it might mean a bump in fantasy appeal for Eric Decker, Quincy Enunwa and Jalin Marshall, as well as potentially more looks for Matt Forte. However, Ryan Fitzpatrick might see a drop in his value if his top threat is limited or out.

Jets | Brandon Marshall not practicing

Wed, 21 Sep 2016 12:18:33 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (knee) was on the practice field for stretching and light warmups but did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall is a question mark for the Week 3 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday, Sept. 25, and his fantasy owners should make sure they're ready to replace him in their lineups, if needed. The injury looked serious, so you'll want to keep an eye on Marshall's practice participation this week. When healthy, Marshall is a slam-dunk starter in all fantasy formats.

Jets | Brandon Marshall to be game-time call

Tue, 20 Sep 2016 06:22:14 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (knee) said he would need all the way up to pre-game warmups to determine whether he can play in Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: They'll have a tough draw against the Kansas City Chiefs this week. We're not putting anything past Marshall, who has been pretty durable in recent years. However, after seeing the torque put on that left knee on the play he was injured, it's plausible he's a long shot this week.

Jets | No sprained MCL for Brandon Marshall?

Mon, 19 Sep 2016 12:18:38 -0700

Contrary to an earlier report, New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (knee) does not have a sprained medial collateral ligament, according to head coach Todd Bowles.

Fantasy Tip: There was a report Sunday suggesting Marshall was dealing with a sprained MCL, but Bowles is adamant that is not the case. Regardless of who is right or wrong, he is still likely dealing with some kind of soreness in the knee and will probably draw a questionable tag at best when injury reports are released later this week. For now, it appears owners can keep him in their lineups as a low-end WR1 for Week 3 versus the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jets | Brandon Marshall has MCL injury

Sun, 18 Sep 2016 16:58:26 -0700

Updating a previous report, New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (knee) suffered an injury to his medial collateral ligament in the Week 2 game against the Buffalo Bills, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. He is not considered a lock to play in Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fantasy Tip: It's uncertain if Marshall will be able to play in Week 3, but at least he has a few extra days to recover. Watch the injury report this week, and by Friday we'll have a good idea if he'll be able to play or not.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa becoming a weapon

Sat, 17 Sep 2016 17:56:18 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa is the "unsung hero" for the offense, according to WR Brandon Marshall, and WR Eric Decker said Enunwa understands coverages better this year and will be a "huge weapon" going forward.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa has 13 grabs for 146 yards for through two games, and he is the clear No. 3 option in a potent passing attack. He shouldn't be relied on as a starter, but he should make a useful depth piece as low-end WR4.

Jets | No concern with Brandon Marshall's knee

Fri, 16 Sep 2016 11:41:11 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (knee) is walking around "fine" per head coach Todd Bowles and the team has no concern about him, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall and his owners should consider themselves very lucky, especially after he admitted his lost feeling in his left knee for a short period of time Thursday. He ended up missing only about a series and finished with six catches for 101 yards. He reportedly is not dealing with any noticeable soreness either, meaning he should be considered a must-start once again in Week 3 versus the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jets | Brandon Marshall has slight sprain

Fri, 16 Sep 2016 05:07:45 -0700

Updating previous reports, New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (knee) has a slight sprain in his knee, which caused him to lose feeling for a period of time.

Fantasy Tip: He'll have nine days to receive treatment and should be fine for Week 3. They have a tough matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, though. Marshall is a low-end WR1 at face value, but he might slip into the WR2 area for this matchup.

Thu, 15 Sep 2016 18:35:17 -0700

Updating an ongoing story, New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (knee) returned against the Buffalo Bills Thursday, Sept. 15.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall not only avoided a serious injury, but he barely missed any snaps. He should remain a borderline WR1 as long as he is healthy.

Updating a previous report, New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (knee) went to the locker room against the Buffalo Bills Thursday, Sept. 15, with a left knee injury.

Fantasy Tip: The extent of the injury remains to be seen, but Quincy Enunwa is the player to target on the waiver wire if Marshall is forced to miss time.

Thu, 15 Sep 2016 18:18:40 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (knee) limped off the field against the Buffalo Bills Thursday, Sept. 15, with an apparent knee injury.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall was able to walk off slowly without help, but his knee bent in an awkward direction. If he ends up missing time, Quincy Enunwa should be scooped up as a potential beneficiary.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall should be a fine starting option in all leagues, while Enunwa could be a decent flex option in deeper leagues.

Jets | Brandon Marshall, Quincy Enunwa full go

Tue, 13 Sep 2016 14:19:55 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (hip) and WR Quincy Enunwa (ribs) participated fully in practice Tuesday, Sept. 13.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall is coming off a disappointing Week 1 performance, but he's still a WR1 candidate despite a relatively tough matchup. Enunwa should no longer be viewed as a pushover after finding the endzone last week. At the least he should be claimed off waivers in standard leagues as the Jets' No. 3 wide receiver.

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (hip) fully participated in the team's walkthrough Monday, Sept. 12.

Thu, 08 Sep 2016 14:24:57 -0700

New York Jets WRs Brandon Marshall (hip) and WR Quincy Enunwa (concussion) were full participants in practice Thursday, Sept. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall has WR1 potential this week, especially in PPR leagues, despite going up against a tough defense in the Cincinnati Bengals. Enunwa does have some upside as the Jets' No. 3 wide receiver, but it's best to leave him on the bench to start the season.

Jets | Brandon Marshall limited Wednesday

Wed, 07 Sep 2016 14:21:09 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (hip) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 7.

Tue, 30 Aug 2016 15:15:56 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall's (hip) injury to his hip is not a concern, according to head coach Todd Bowles.

Fantasy Tip: It didn't seem like too big of an injury, but it's still a sigh of relief for the Jets and fantasy owners regarding their star wide receiver. Continue to draft Marshall as a borderline WR1 with extra value in PPR formats.

Jets | Brandon Marshall nursing sore hip

Sat, 27 Aug 2016 21:55:34 -0700

Updating a previous report, New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (hip) was held out of the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 27, against the New York Giants due to a sore hip, head coach Todd Bowles said. The decision was made Friday, Aug. 26.

Fantasy Tip: The injury doesn't sound terribly serious and Marshall has two weeks to rest before the regular season opener. He'll be 100 percent by then, and he remains a WR1 in all fantasy formats.

Jets | Brandon Marshall inactive Saturday

Sat, 27 Aug 2016 15:12:00 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall will not play against the New York Giants on Saturday, Aug. 27. According to multiple sources, Marshall is not known to be dealing with an injury. Undrafted rookie free agent Robby Anderson will start in his place.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall was spotted chatting it up with personnel director Brian Heimerdinger and talking with fans along the sideline, so it appears the Jets are just making sure their top receiver enters the regular season healthy since he has little to prove as an 11th-year pro. Marshall may not finish as the third-highest scoring receiver in fantasy again this year, but there is little doubt he'll be a WR1 if he plays 16 games again in 2016.

Jets | Brandon Marshall battles Darrelle Revis

Fri, 05 Aug 2016 18:12:03 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall was involved in a fight with CB Darrelle Revis during practice Friday, Aug. 5, but Marshall said it was an isolated incident.

Fantasy Tip: While Marshall may not replicate his 1,500-yard campaign from last year, he should still be a solid WR2 with Ryan Fitzpatrick back in the fold.

Jets | Brandon Marshall sheds weight

Wed, 27 Jul 2016 08:30:33 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall arrived at camp Wednesday, July 27, at 224.8 pounds, which is 10 pounds lighter than he was last season. Six weeks ago, he weighed 244 pounds, and he was instructed to get under 230 pounds.

Fantasy Tip: While it's great that he appears in great shape, there are concerns when you drop a lot of weight in a short time period. For one, it's usually not sustainable. It could also play a factor in propensity to injury. Your body isn't accustomed to being at said condition, and alarms can emerge, especially playing such a physical sport. Marshall at age 32, in his 11th season, is someone to monitor in training camp. He's coming off a brilliant 109-1,502-14 season, and he's a consideration as a low-end WR1.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa set to be third receiver?

Thu, 21 Jul 2016 12:10:05 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa currently has the inside track on being the No. 3 wide receiver. He will battle with WRs Kenbrell Thompkins, Jalin Marshall and Devin Smith (knee) for roster spots and playing time behind WRs Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall and Decker are both viable No. 2 receivers for your fantasy squad and also provide a reliable floor. There's a tremendous falloff after them, though. Additionally, there isn't a lot of fantasy value for the third receiver in the passing game, especially if tight end Jace Amaro reestablishes himself as a pass catcher. At this point, Enunwa and Thompkins are potential late-round fliers in deep leagues, but they are likely best left to the waiver wire. Marshall and Smith don't currently move the fantasy needle.

Jets | Brandon Marshall trying to shed weight

Tue, 21 Jun 2016 13:49:14 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall will ideally play at 230 pounds throughout the 2016 season, if head coach Todd Bowles has his way. Marshall said he's played at an average of 234 pounds to 235 pounds the last five seasons.

Fantasy Tip: Playing a little lighter should give Marshall more speed. Either way, he's a low-end WR1 target in fantasy drafts even if Ryan Fitzpatrick is not re-signed.

Jets | Brandon Marshall praises Geno Smith

Fri, 03 Jun 2016 21:54:29 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall said it seems like the game has slowed down for QB Geno Smith, and he added that Smith has been playing with poise during OTAs.

Fantasy Tip: Depending on how the Ryan Fitzpatrick situation plays out, Smith could be starting for the Jets in Week 1. However, there is nothing in Smith's history that suggests he can be more than a low-end fantasy backup.

Jets | Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker practicing

Wed, 01 Jun 2016 07:32:55 -0700

New York Jets WRs Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker are participating in organized team activities Wednesday, June 1.

Fantasy Tip: Both Marshall and Decker have skipped some workouts this offseason but will be the two main targets in the passing game this season. Both should be starting options in all leagues, but their value will be determined by the team's quarterback. Marshall and Decker would see their value drop if the starting quarterback is not Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Jets | Eric Decker, Brandon Marshall back

Tue, 31 May 2016 07:13:47 -0700

New York Jets WRs Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall were back at practice for organized team activities Tuesday, May 31, after sitting out the opening week in a show of solidarity for the unsigned QB Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall and Decker enjoyed fine chemistry with Fitz in 2015, and their fantasy value depends heavily on whether the Jets bring the grizzled QB back for another season. If Fitzpatrick re-signs, consider Marshall a low-end WR1 or high-end WR2. Decker is more of a midrange No. 2 option.

Jets | Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker absent

Thu, 26 May 2016 10:39:48 -0700

New York Jets WRs Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker are both not in attendance for organized team activities this week. Head coach Todd Bowles downplayed their absence, but Decker stayed away because he's upset that the Jets have yet to re-sign QB Ryan Fitzpatrick. The reason for Marshall's absence is unclear.

Fantasy Tip: It makes sense for both Marshall and Decker to be upset with the Fitzpatrick situation. Both receivers developed nice chemistry with the Amish Rifle in 2015, and their production depends greatly on whether he returns. If Fitz moves on, Geno Smith would likely be delivering the pigskin through the air, and that's a sizable dropoff. Marshall and Decker's fantasy value would take a big hit if Fitz isn't re-signed.

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall was cleared by a jury Saturday, April 9, in a lawsuit by a woman claiming she was assaulted in a 2012 incident, according to his attorney Harvey Steinberg.

Fantasy Tip: There isn't expected to be any league-imposed ramifications because of the event, but monitor the situation accordingly. Marshall is a solid WR2 in fantasy, but he's without a quarterback right now. Things could change before draft day.

Sat, 12 Mar 2016 20:21:51 -0800

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall said he doesn't want to see free-agent QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (Jets) in "another jersey."

Fantasy Tip: Marshall had one of the best years of his career last season with Fitzpatrick under center. If the Jets don't re-sign Fitzpatrick, his replacement will have a big impact on Marshall's value.

"I don't want Kaepernick," Marshall said on ESPN's "First Take." "I think he's good. My guy's Fitz," Marshall explained. "It's nothing against Kaepernick, but what I'm saying is that I have my quarterbacks and I'm good."

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson posted five receptions for 108 yards in the Week 17 game against the Houston Texans. He was targeted nine times. He finished with 14 touchdown receptions, tied with New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall and Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin for the league lead.

Fantasy Tip: Robinson emerged as a must-have fantasy option this season, posting five 100-yard receiving games in his final nine outings. He'll be a Top 15 fantasy option in most formats heading into 2016, if not higher.

Sun, 03 Jan 2016 14:46:40 -0800

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall caught eight passes for 126 yards and one touchdown against the Buffalo Bills in Week 17.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall was very productive in his first season with the Jets and recorded at least 1,000 yards for the eighth time in his last nine seasons. Marshall should continue his solid play next season and will be an early-round option in most leagues.

Jets | Brandon Marshall surprised by success

Fri, 01 Jan 2016 18:24:15 -0800

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall has a career-high 13 touchdowns and recorded his record sixth 100-catch season in 2015, but he said he didn't expect to have as much success as he has had when he was traded to the Jets this past offseason.

Fantasy Tip: The Jets were supposed to be a run-first offense, but Marshall ($8,300, 16.6% of cap) has headlined a potent passing attack. He has been a WR1 candidate most of the year at FantasyScore, and he should be a strong option in Week 17 against a vulnerable Buffalo secondary.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall ($8,300, 16.6% of cap) has been unbelievable this season and is a WR1 consideration against the Buffalo Bills. Decker ($7,000, 14.0% of cap) is a solid WR2 candidate on FantasyScore.

Thu, 31 Dec 2015 11:47:42 -0800

New York Jets WRs Eric Decker (knee) and Brandon Marshall (ankle) practiced in full for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 31.

Fantasy Tip: Decker ($7,000, 14.0% of cap) and Marshall ($8,300, 16.6% of cap) are two of the more productive receivers in the NFL this year. Both should be fine plays even at a high price on FantasyScore against a suspect Buffalo Bills defense that struggles to generate pressure on the quarterback.

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall caught eight passes for 115 yards and two touchdowns against the New England Patriots in Week 16.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall has become one of the top fantasy receivers this season and will be a popular option for owners next week against the Buffalo Bills. He has posted at least 100 yards in four of his last five games and has six touchdowns in that span.
