Lions | Matt Prater struggles in debut

Sun, 12 Oct 2014 13:41:11 -0700

Detroit Lions PK Matt Prater missed two field goal attempts in Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings in his team debut. One miss was wide right from 50 yards, and the other from 44 yards was off the left upright. He was able to convert a 52-yard field goal in the first half, and he added two extra points. "We have all the confidence in the world on him," head coach Jim Caldwell said Sunday, Oct. 12.

Fantasy Tip: Prater has a huge leg, but showed a little bit of rust. He remains a Top 10 fantasy option in all formats going forward despite the misses.

Prater converted 25 of his 26 field goal attempts for the Denver Broncos last season, and he tied the NFL record with a 64-yard field last December. He is a fantastic fantasy option.
