Carolina Panthers WR Ted Ginn Jr. (knee) practiced Wednesday, Nov. 25, and is probable for Week 12 Thursday, Nov. 26.
Fantasy Tip: Ginn ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) saw pay dirt last week but faces a Dallas Cowboys team that has been among the best against the position the last five weeks. Ginn is a risky midrange option on FantasyScore.
Tue, 24 Nov 2015 14:19:10 -0800
Carolina Panthers WR Ted Ginn Jr. (knee) practiced in full Tuesday, Nov. 24, after being limited Monday, Nov. 23.
Fantasy Tip: Ginn ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) is a deep threat for the Carolina passing game, but he's more useful in standard-scoring leagues, and he's also been plagued by drops this year. Against a capable Dallas Cowboys pass defense, Ginn doesn't have a ton of upside this week on FantasyScore.
Mon, 23 Nov 2015 15:51:41 -0800
Carolina Panthers WR Ted Ginn Jr. (knee) was a limited participant in practice Monday, Nov. 23.
Fantasy Tip: Despite only having one touchdown catch in his past six games, Ginn is actually starting to turn into a decent WR3 or flex option, having garnered eight targets or more in four of the last five weeks. If Corey Brown misses another game, then Ginn should be on your radar, although rookie Devin Funchess might end up becoming the club's most valuable receiver.
Sun, 15 Nov 2015 16:40:20 -0800
Carolina Panthers WR Ted Ginn Jr. posted four receptions for 45 yards in the Week 10 game against the Tennessee Titans. He was targeted eight times.
Fantasy Tip: Ginn is best used as a WR3 or flex FantasyScore option when trying to conserve salary to spread across other positions. He has speed to burn, but hands of stone. The potential is there for big plays, but he always seems to get in his own way.
Wed, 11 Nov 2015 11:28:51 -0800
Carolina Panthers WR Ted Ginn Jr. leads all receivers with a 25% drop rate this year. Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans is second with a 17.9% drop rate, followed by Houston Texans WR Nate Washington (16.1%), Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (13.5%), New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (12.3%) and Miami Dolphins WR Rishard Matthews (9.8%).
Fantasy Tip: Ginn leads a list that includes some pretty heavy hitters in the wide receiver ranks. Ginn's knack for the big play is typically what carries his fantasy value, so he's hard to rely on in point-per-reception leagues like FantasyScore on a consistent basis.
Mon, 02 Nov 2015 22:56:29 -0800
Carolina Panthers WR Ted Ginn Jr. had two receptions for 60 yards in the Week 8 game against the Indianapolis Colts Monday, Nov. 2. However, he had a huge drop in overtime for a big gainer and potential game-winning touchdown.
Fantasy Tip: Ginn ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) is a gazelle and has always had blinding speed, but unfortunately he catches a football about as well as a gazelle, too. He is a shaky FantasyScore option at this price level heading into Week 9 against the Green Bay Packers.
Sun, 25 Oct 2015 21:48:03 -0700
Carolina Panthers WR Ted Ginn Jr. had five receptions for 59 yards in the Week 7 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He was targeted seven times.
Fantasy Tip: Ginn ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) has been the most reliable wide receiver in Charlotte, but that's not saying much. He is best used as a WR3 or flex FantasyScore option only.
Sun, 04 Oct 2015 16:53:41 -0700
Carolina Panthers WR Ted Ginn Jr. had two catches, both for touchdowns, for 18 yards in a 37-23 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4.
Fantasy Tip: Ginn ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) has three touchdowns this year, but he hasn't caught more than four passes in a game. He is the closest thing the Panthers have to a No. 1 receiver right now, but he is a boom-or-bust option at FantasyScore.
Mon, 07 Sep 2015 10:43:33 -0700
Carolina Panthers WRs Ted Ginn Jr. and Corey Brown are considered the starting wide receivers at this point, according to head coach Ron Rivera.
Fantasy Tip: Ginn ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) and Brown ($2,000) may start but Devin Funchess ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) should also see significant play time in Week 1. Funchess likely is the only Panthers receiver that has fantasy value for Week 1 and could be an option on FantasyScore.
Mon, 03 Aug 2015 16:56:05 -0700
Carolina Panthers WR Ted Ginn Jr. said Monday, Aug. 3, he feels comfortable back in Carolina. "It's a perfect fit for me," Ginn said. "(Coming back) was the best thing for me."
Fantasy Tip: Ginn had 36 receptions for 556 yards and five touchdowns during a one-year stint in Carolina in 2013, and he wasn't able to replicate that success with the Arizona Cardinals. As a member of a thin receiving corps in Carolina, Ginn will have the opportunity to post several big weeks this season, but he shouldn't be considered as an option in season-long leagues to begin the year.
Sat, 13 Jun 2015 19:06:13 -0700
Carolina Panthers WR Corey Brown (formerly known as Philly Brown) has big-play speed and he has run more precise routes during offseason workouts. He has developed a nice rapport with QB Cam Newton and he could potentially be a deep threat, more so than WR Ted Ginn Jr.
Fantasy Tip: Brown has the potential to be a breakout candidate in 2015, but risking anything more than a pick after Round 13 or so would be foolish at this point. Watch to see him perform in training camp and the preseason before bumping him up on your cheat sheets.

The Carolina Panthers are interested in free-agent WR Ted Ginn Jr. (Cardinals). According to a league source, the Panthers plan to reach out to Ginn, who spent the 2013 season with the team.
Fantasy Tip: Ginn isn't much for fantasy owners as a receiver, but he is a tremendous asset to those in leagues which reward return yardage to individuals. His addition would give the Panthers DST a little boost in fantasy appeal in standard fantasy formats, too.

Wed, 06 Aug 2014 17:12:50 -0700
Arizona Cardinals WR Ted Ginn Jr. is listed as the team's primary punt and kick return man on the first depth chart of the preseason. WRs John Brown, Walter Powell and Reggie Dunn are the backups, in that order, on the kickoff return chart, while CB Patrick Peterson is the primary backup option on punt returns, with Brown and Powell in the third and fourth slot.
Wed, 06 Aug 2014 17:07:30 -0700
Arizona Cardinals WR Jaron Brown is listed on the team's second-team offense with WR Ted Ginn Jr. behind starting WRs Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd. The team's first depth chart of the preseason shows WRs John Brown and Walter Powell on the third-team offense, with WRs Dan Buckner, Reggie Dunn, Brittan Golden and Kevin Ozier on the fourth team.
Fantasy Tip: The fantasy value line stops at Ginn, or the third receiver, unless injuries strike the top of the depth chart. John Brown has looked like a speedster in camp, but he needs to have a good training camp and preseason to sniff the field. Right now, he is worth watching, but not worth drafting.

Fantasy Tip: Ginn and Hixon are desperation plays in Week 17 if you're playing for a fantasy title.

Tue, 20 Aug 2013 13:03:06 -0700
Carolina Panthers WR Armanti Edwards (hamstring) has impressed the coaching staff in training camp and the preseason and has been listed as the third receiver behind WRs Steve Smith and Brandon LaFell. WRs Domenik Hixon, David Gettis and Ted Ginn Jr. are battling with Edwards. Edwards spent some time dealing with a hamstring injury which kept him out of the team's second preseason game. The door has reopened for Gettis because of the ailment, and he was impressive with five catches for 82 yards in the second preseason game. It now looks like a wide open race for the No. 3 spot.
Fantasy Tip: Gettis might be the most intriguing receiver in the lot, but none of these options should be drafted.
Fri, 16 Aug 2013 10:54:52 -0700
Carolina Panthers WR Ted Ginn Jr. was targeted seven times in the preseason opener, but he hauled in just one pass. In the second preseason game Thursday, Aug. 15, against the Philadelphia Eagles, Ginn was targeted three times and he posted two catches for 39 yards, with both throws coming from starting QB Cam Newton.
Fantasy Tip: Ginn still has a long way to go until he can be trusted as a regular fantasy receiver again, but he should get chances in Charlotte. Entering the regular season, his fantasy value remains limited to those formats which also include individual return yardage.
Wed, 31 Jul 2013 09:11:01 -0700
Carolina Panthers WR David Gettis has struggled with injuries in his career, and he appears to be slower than previous seasons so far during training camp. He is behind starting WRs Steve Smith and Brandon LaFell on the depth chart, and newcomers WRs Ted Ginn Jr. and Domenik Hixon appear to be ahead of him as well.
Fantasy Tip: Gettis might be battling Armanti Edwards for the No. 5 receiver job, and Edwards is versatile because of his special teams work. The fan favorite Gettis might be soon looking for work unless he shines significantly in the coming days. Avoid him for fantasy purposes right now.
Mon, 29 Jul 2013 15:18:35 -0700
Updating a previous item, Carolina Panthers WR Ted Ginn Jr. will have a chance to compete for the No. 3 wideout job, and he's making the most of his opportunity early in training camp. Ginn's rare speed was on showcase over the weekend, and he connected on several deep passes with QB Cam Newton.
Fantasy Tip: Ginn is a super deep wide receiver sleeper that probably should be left for the waiver wire to start the year unless he drastically improves in training camp.
Thu, 13 Jun 2013 10:25:01 -0700
Carolina Panthers WRs Steve Smith and Brandon LaFell are locked in at the top two spots. Ted Ginn Jr. has stood out during minicamp, catching several deep passes from Cam Newton. Armanti Edwards looks more comfortable playing the position. Ginn and Edwards will compete with Kealoha Pilares, Joe Adams and David Gettis for roster spots and reps.
Fantasy Tip: It's hard to trust Ginn finally developing into a full-fledged catcher, but there's big-play potential here in what could be a surprisingly productive passing system. Greg Olsen's presence limits the availability of secondary targets, but waiver-wire scroungers in deep leagues will watch this play out during the season.
Fri, 29 Mar 2013 11:29:19 -0700
Carolina Panthers WRs Kealoha Pilares, Joe Adams, Armanti Edwards and Ted Ginn Jr. could all be candidates for the No. 3 wide receiver job next season.
