San Francisco Giants RHP Johnny Cueto (hand) was removed from his start against the San Diego Padres after four innings Friday, July 14, due to blisters on two fingers and the thumb of his pitching hand. Cueto had never experienced blisters before this season and believes that the way baseballs are being manufactured this year is causing the problem. His status for his next scheduled start is up in the air.

Cueto was scratched from his scheduled start Thursday, July 6, after experiencing dizziness stemming from an inner-ear infection.
