Orioles | Travis Snider out of lineup Tuesday

Tue, 26 May 2015 12:18:10 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Travis Snider is not playing Tuesday, May 26, against the Houston Astros. OF David Lough is hitting eighth.

Fantasy Tip: Snider ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) is likely out because the Astros have righthander Scott Feldman on the mound. Lough ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) has two hits in five at-bats in the past week, so he may be worth a low-cost flier.

Orioles | Travis Snider will not start

Mon, 25 May 2015 08:38:54 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Travis Snider is not in the starting lineup Monday, May 25. OF Alejandro De Aza will take his place in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Snider ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) likely is sitting out because the team is facing a left-handed pitcher. De Aza ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) has been on a bit of a cold steak at the plate this month and has four hits in his last seven games. Owners on FantasyScore could consider using De Aza as a cheaper option, but there are likely better options available.

Orioles | Travis Snider, Alejandro De Aza playing

Fri, 22 May 2015 14:47:04 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OFs Travis Snider and Alejandro De Aza are both in the starting lineup against Miami Marlins SP Henderson Alvarez Friday, May 22. Snider is starting in left field and hitting fifth in the batting order, while De Aza is in right field and hitting seventh. OF Delmon Young is not starting against a right-hander.

Fantasy Tip: Snider ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) and De Aza ($2,900) have both been inconsistent offensive weapons at FantasyScore with uneven playing time in 2015. Both lefty bats have been underwhelming against right-handed pitchers, but all four of their home runs have come against that side. Playing in a pitcher-friendly venue tonight, neither should be considered anything more than dice rolls at FantasyScore.

Orioles | David Lough replacing Travis Snider

Sat, 16 May 2015 13:50:09 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF David Lough will start in left field and bat eighth in the order Saturday, May 16, against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. OF Travis Snider will serve as the extra outfielder.

Fantasy Tip: Lough ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) owns a .273 batting average through 22 at-bats against righties this season, and he'll go up against Angels SP Matt Shoemaker. Lough is 2-for-his-last-12, and he should be avoided on FantasyScore, especially while batting so low in the order.

Orioles | Travis Snider receives a start

Tue, 12 May 2015 11:47:03 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Travis Snider is starting in left field and hitting eighth in the batting order against Toronto Blue Jays SP Mark Buehrle Tuesday, May 12. OF Alejandro De Aza will start on the bench.

Fantasy Tip: Snider ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) excelled against southpaws in 2014, hitting .381 (16-for-42) with two home runs against them, and he's 2-for-6 against lefties this year. On the flip side, Buehrle is allowing a slash line of .390/.419/.585 with two home runs to left-handed hitters this season. It's a perfect scenario for Snider to be a sleeper play that profits at FantasyScore tonight.

Orioles | Travis Snider not playing

Sat, 09 May 2015 08:11:56 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Travis Snider is not in the starting lineup Saturday, May 9.

Fantasy Tip: Snider ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) has played well over the last several games, so he is likely receiving a day off. Alejandro De Aza ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) will start in his place but may not be a great option on FantasyScore.

Orioles | Travis Snider starting against Yanks

Fri, 08 May 2015 13:31:31 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Travis Snider is starting in left field and hitting seventh in the batting order against New York Yankees SP Adam Warren Friday, May 8. OF Alejandro De Aza will start on the bench.

Fantasy Tip: Both Snider ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) and De Aza have seen their playing time fluctuate now that Delmon Young has become an everyday player. Snider has cooled off a bit after a hot start, but he's still hitting .288 (19-for-66) with a home run and nine RBI. He's a midrange outfield option at FantasyScore tonight against Warren.

Orioles | Travis Snider draws into lineup

Thu, 07 May 2015 13:39:11 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Travis Snider is batting eighth and playing left field against the New York Yankees Thursday, May 7.

Fantasy Tip: Snider ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) has been a solid contributor, but he hasn't set the world on fire, either. Over his last eight games, Snider has gone 5-for-23 at the dish with just two runs and two RBI. Consider him a low-priced, high-risk flier for FantasyScore contests Thursday.

Orioles | Travis Snider, Delmon Young out

Wed, 06 May 2015 15:16:41 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OFs Travis Snider and Delmon Young are out of the starting lineup Wednesday, May 6. OF Alejandro De Aza is starting in right field and leading off, while OF David Lough is starting in left field and hitting sixth in the batting order against New York Mets SP Jacob deGrom.

Fantasy Tip: De Aza ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) and Lough ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) are both sleeper outfield picks at FantasyScore tonight. deGrom has been much better at home this year, but he continues to struggled against lefty hitters.
