Nationals | Bryce Harper, Ben Revere sitting

Thu, 30 Jun 2016 12:09:12 -0700

Washington Nationals OFs Bryce Harper and Ben Revere are not in the starting lineup against Cincinnati Reds left-handed SP Brandon Finnegan Thursday, June 30. OF Michael Taylor is starting in center field and leading off, while OF Chris Heisey starts in right and is batting seventh. C Wilson Ramos moves into the cleanup spot.

Fantasy Tip: Harper and Revere have a routine day off against a southpaw. Get them out of your starting lineups. Taylor has a good combination of power and speed that plays well in the leadoff spot, and he's surely attractive as a low-priced outfielder in DFS. Heisey is more of a low-end play. Ramos is having the best fantasy season for a catcher this year and should be fired up everywhere.

Nationals | Bryce Harper receiving day off

Sun, 12 Jun 2016 10:36:46 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Bryce Harper is not in the starting lineup against Philadelphia Phillies SP Adam Morgan Sunday, June 12. OF Chris Heisey will start in right field and is batting seventh in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Heisey has been used mostly as a pinch hitter but has only three hits in his last 12 games. Owners in daily fantasy leagues will be able to find better options to use and can avoid Heisey.

Nationals | Ben Revere sitting vs. Chicago

Thu, 09 Jun 2016 13:50:59 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Ben Revere is not in the starting lineup Thursday, June 9. OF Chris Heisey is starting in left field and leading off against Chicago White Sox SP Miguel Gonzalez Thursday.

Fantasy Tip: Revere hasn't found his form yet in 2016 and sits with just two stolen bases and a .188/.250/.265 slash line. He hit .294 with an average of 35 stolen bases per year from 2011 through 2015, though, so if there is a buy-low window, it wouldn't hurt to inquire about the asking price. Heisey is a potential low-priced flier for daily contests Thursday.

Nationals | Bryce Harper remains sidelined

Wed, 01 Jun 2016 12:21:07 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Bryce Harper (knee) is out of the starting lineup again Wednesday, June 1. OF Chris Heisey draws a start in left field and is hitting leadoff against Philadelphia Phillies SP Adam Morgan.

Fantasy Tip: Harper is dealing with a knee contusion and should return any day. Even though he struggled in the month of May, he should be returned in all starting lineups when he's back. Heisey is hitting .227 but does have four home runs in limited action this year. Consider him a deep sleeper in daily setups while hitting leadoff against a lefty.

Nationals | Bryce Harper exits game early

Mon, 30 May 2016 18:55:37 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Bryce Harper (knee) left the game Monday, May 30, against the Philadelphia Phillies after being hit on the right knee by a pitch. Harper was checked by trainers, but allowed to remain in the game to run the bases. However, he was lifted for defense for the bottom of the inning. OF Chris Heisey took over for Harper in the field.

Fantasy Tip: Harper was allowed to remain in the game after being checked out, so it doesn't sound terribly serious. Still, check for updates and lineup information Tuesday before finalizing your teams in DFS and daily fantasy formats.

Nationals | Bryce Harper takes a seat

Wed, 25 May 2016 08:37:33 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Bryce Harper is out of the lineup Wednesday, May 25, with 2B Daniel Murphy hitting third. OF Chris Heisey is hitting seventh and playing right field.

Fantasy Tip: Murphy refuses to cool off as he has a robust .411-5-19 line this month. He's one of the top few players at his position in fantasy. Heisey has some upside against left-hander Steven Matz as he has hit well against lefties in his career. He's a low-end option to consider today.

Nationals | Three Nats on the bench

Sat, 21 May 2016 13:58:36 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Jayson Werth, 1B Ryan Zimmerman and C Wilson Ramos are out of the lineup Saturday, May 21. OF Chris Heisey is hitting second, 1B Clint Robinson hits fifth and C Jose Lobaton hits eighth.

Fantasy Tip: Heisey has rather pedestrian numbers on the year, but he has two homers in 15 at-bats this month. He has a tough draw against Jose Fernandez, but he has upside ahead of Bryce Harper. Robinson has a .294-2-6 line in 17 at-bats this month and has taken Fernandez deep before. He's a fringe option worth consideration today. Lobaton doesn't have the offensive potential for the stream today.

Sat, 14 May 2016 14:29:13 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Bryce Harper dropped the appeal of his one-game suspension and will sit out Saturday, May 14. OF Chris Heisey replaces him in right field, and he's hitting seventh.

Fantasy Tip: Heisey has four homers in 31 at-bats this season. He's a basement option against Kendry Flores in DFS Saturday.

Nationals | Chris Heisey draws rare start

Tue, 03 May 2016 15:40:20 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Chris Heisey will start in left field and bat ninth Tuesday, May 3, opposite Kansas City Royals SP Chris R. Young.

Fantasy Tip: Heisey is getting the start here with the Nationals being able to use an extra bat while playing in an American League park. He's a dart throw, though, for daily games, as he really doesn't offer anything other than the potential home run. For what it's worth, however, Heisey does have three homers already in his first 23 at-bats.

Sat, 23 Apr 2016 07:51:01 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Michael Taylor is not in the starting lineup against Minnesota Twins SP Phil Hughes Saturday, April 23. OF Chris Heisey will start in center field and is batting first in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Heisey has been used mostly as a pinch hitter this season and has three hits in 13 at-bats. Owners in most leagues should be able to find better players to use in their lineups and can avoid Heisey.
