Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim OF Brennan Boesch was ejected in the Cactus League spring game Saturday, March 15, for arguing balls and strikes. Boesch is fighting for a bench spot. Manager Mike Scioscia felt the ejection wasn't warranted, saying Boesch was "walking away and wasn't even looking at the umpire. I think you just had a young umpire who wasn't very experienced at how to handle something like that."

New York Yankees OF Curtis Granderson (finger) underwent surgery Wednesday, May 29, to insert a pin into the broken knuckle on his left pinkie finger. General manager Brian Cashman said this won't affect Granderson's original timetable.

Fantasy Tip: Expect Grandy to be out another four to six weeks. This solidifies the playing time for Brett Gardner, Vernon Wells and Ichiro Suzuki. Brennan Boesch is only useful in AL-only setups.
