The Chicago Cubs placed OF Justin Ruggiano (hamstring) on the disabled list after suffering a Grade 2 strain of his hamstring Wednesday, April 23. He'll be out at least three to four weeks. Ruggiano said he heard a "pop" when he was injured.

Fantasy Tip: Ruggiano had been in a platoon in right field with Nate Schierholtz. Schierholtz should now see more consistent playing time, with Ryan Kalish and Ryan Sweeney as options to spell him if needed. Schierholtz deserves a look in very deep mixed leagues.

Updating a previous report, Chicago Cubs OF Justin Ruggiano (hamstring) will have an MRI on his left hamstring after suffering an injury Wednesday, April 23, against the Arizona Diamondbacks. "Ruggiano is going to get an MRI," manager Rick Renteria said. "We won't know the extent of it until he gets seen."
