Updating previous reports, Los Angeles Dodgers SPs Clayton Kershaw (back) and Alex Wood (elbow) are each scheduled to throw approximately four innings or 60 pitches during simulated games Saturday, July 16. SP Brett Anderson (back) will throw a simulated game using the same guidelines Tuesday, July 19.
Fantasy Tip: If all goes well for the three southpaws, Kershaw should be back by the end of the month, with Wood and Anderson possibly returning sometime in August. Kershaw should be stashed in all fantasy formats, while Wood and Anderson are worth keeping tabs on in NL-only and cavernous mixed seasonal leagues.

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Brett Anderson (back) threw approximately 50 pitches in a bullpen session Friday, July 8, and said things went well. It marked the second time this week he had thrown a session.
Fantasy Tip: Anderson has not pitched at all this season but could return to the majors next month in a best-case scenario. The 28-year-old left-hander's progress is worth monitoring in NL-only and cavernous mixed fantasy leagues.

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Brett Anderson (back) could return in mid-August, according to manager Dave Roberts.
Fantasy Tip: Anderson is a long ways off, and there's no guarantee he'll be in peak condition when he rejoins the Dodgers' pitching staff. That makes him unlikely to make much of a fantasy impact down the stretch.

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Brett Anderson (back) threw his first bullpen session Tuesday, July 5, since he had surgery on his back in March.
Fantasy Tip: The Dodgers could use some rotation help, but Anderson still has a ways to go before he'd be in consideration to take a spot. Anderson had a decent year with the Dodgers in 2015 (3.69 ERA, 1.33 WHIP), but he struck out just 5.8 hitters per nine and has been very mediocre in that department the last two seasons. At best, he'd be a matchup play in cavernous mixed and NL-only leagues if he joins the rotation in the second half.

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Andre Ethier (leg) was among a number of players placed on the 15-day disabled list Sunday, April 3. Joining him were SP Hyun-Jin Ryu (shoulder), SP Brandon McCarthy (elbow), 2B Howie Kendrick (calf), INF Alex Guerrero (knee), C Yasmani Grandal (forearm), SP Brett Anderson (back), SP Mike Bolsinger (oblique) and RP Josh Ravin (wrist).
Fantasy Tip: Los Angeles' pitching depth figures to be tested right off the bat, as Ryi is expected to be out another month while McCarthy and Anderson may not return until the second half. Ethier's absence should make Carl Crawford a full-time player again until around June, making the ex-Tampa Bay Ray standout a fine under-the-radar fantasy option. The other notable name here is Grandal, who should be a serviceable catcher in fantasy if he is healthy. He is expected back in mid-April.
