Giants | Adrian Peterson keeping tabs on NYG

Thu, 16 Feb 2017 18:41:24 -0800

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson tweeted Wednesday, Feb. 15, that the New York Giants have been "making some interesting moves" this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Peterson has already said he would have interest in joining the Giants, and with the release of Rashad Jennings, the Giants could be in the market for a back. Wherever Peterson ends up in 2017, he is likely to see enough carries to provide RB2 production.

Cowboys | Dallas an option for Adrian Peterson?

Sun, 05 Feb 2017 12:00:23 -0800

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson could be in play with the Dallas Cowboys as a potential free agent, according to league sources.

Fantasy Tip: Peterson is a Texas native, but this seems like an unlikely marriage from the Cowboys' perspective for multiple reasons. First and foremost, an aging Peterson isn't play much over Ezekiel Elliott. Secondly, "All Day" isn't particularly strong in the passing game, so he wouldn't even be a third-down upgrade for Dallas. Additionally, Peterson isn't going to come cheap and probably wouldn't be all that open to accepting a pure backup role anyway.

Vikings | Adrian Peterson's future being analyzed

Fri, 03 Feb 2017 20:08:08 -0800

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson's future with the team won't be decided until some "tough analysis" is performed, according to president Mark Wilf.

Fantasy Tip: Peterson will likely have to agree to a pay cut to return to Minnesota, and there is a good chance he plays elsewhere in 2017. His days as a fantasy stud are likely in the past, but he will still be an intriguing option in 2017 if he lands with a strong offense.

Giants | Adrian Peterson interested in Giants

Thu, 19 Jan 2017 09:37:41 -0800

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson said he would be interested in the New York Giants if he becomes available this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: The Giants have used multiple running backs over the last few years and may be interested in Peterson as their main back. Peterson should receive most of the carries wherever he goes and can be a No. 2 running back in most leagues.

Buccaneers | Tampa Bay an option for Adrian Peterson?

Thu, 19 Jan 2017 09:31:18 -0800

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson said he would be interested in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers if he becomes available this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: The Buccaneers may be looking for a running back this offseason with Doug Martin serving a suspension and Jacquizz Rodgers scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent. Peterson probably will be the starter if he joins the Bucs and could be considered a No. 2 running back in fantasy.

Texans | Adrian Peterson interested in Houston

Thu, 19 Jan 2017 09:24:49 -0800

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson said he would be interested in the Houston Texans if he becomes available this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: The Texans signed Lamar Miller to a lucrative contract last offseason, so they probably would not consider adding Peterson. Miller rushed for 1,073 yards and five touchdowns in 2016 and can be a No. 2 running back for fantasy owners. Peterson should be able to find a starting job with a team and could be a No. 2 back in fantasy leagues.

Vikings | Adrian Peterson had significant tear

Tue, 10 Jan 2017 07:48:03 -0800

Updating previous reports, Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (knee) said he tore 90 percent of the meniscus in his right knee earlier in the season. He returned in 12 weeks after a full repair.

Fantasy Tip: His future with the team, and his RB1 status in fantasy, is up in the air. He'll be 32 next season and didn't look good before the knee injury; albeit his offensive line had something to do with that. He presents a lot of risk as a low-end RB1, and it makes more sense to take him as a second back in hopes of one more big rushing season.

Vikings | Adrian Peterson wants to stay in Minnesota

Mon, 02 Jan 2017 10:02:18 -0800

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson has told reporters he would like to stay with the team, although he declined to say whether or not he would accept a pay cut. He went on to say there are certain players, such as Tom Brady and Antonio Brown, in whom franchises should invest in more than others.

Fantasy Tip: This doesn't sound like a player willing to accept a pay cut. Given his age (32 in March) and the fact he is due $11.75 million in the final year of his contract next season, he is highly unlikely to return with that attitude. AP won't be out of work for long, but his days as an elite RB1 could very well be coming to an end, assuming they haven't already.

Vikings | Adrian Peterson wants to stay

Mon, 02 Jan 2017 08:28:28 -0800

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson said he wants to stay with the Vikings in 2017, but he declined to say whether he would accept a pay cut.

Fantasy Tip: AD will be 32 in March, and it's probably 50-50, at best, that he stays in Minnesota. It'll be really hard to count on him as an RB1 next season with nearly 2,500 carries on his body, but the perfect situation could still give him that chance.
