|Vikings | Adrian Peterson upset with contract|
Thu, 28 May 2015 15:59:14 -0700
Updating previous reports, Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson wants the Vikings to honor his seven-year contract worth $96 million that goes through 2017. Peterson took to Twitter to vent that it takes both sides to fulfill a contract. Peterson desires guaranteed money into the 2016 season and beyond. There is currently no guaranteed money left in his current contract.
Fantasy Tip: There's plenty of time for Peterson and the Vikings to settle this dispute before training camp and the regular season begin. The good news is that Peterson has also said he doesn't want to be traded; he simply wants more security with his contract. Assuming health and happiness, Peterson is a perennial candidate for the No. 1 fantasy running back.

|Vikings | Mike Zimmer gives Adrian Peterson edict|
Thu, 28 May 2015 05:37:38 -0700
Updating an ongoing story, Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson was given a public ultimatum by Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer Wednesday, May 27, saying he has to either play for the Vikings or not play at all. Peterson said Wednesday on Twitter he did not want to be traded and was looking for financial security by not attending organized team activities. Peterson has three years remaining on his current contract and is due $46 million.
Fantasy Tip: Peterson really has no leverage in this situation, so returning to the team sooner than later would behoove his outlook. As this saga continues to wear on, his conditioning will become a mild concern. Draft him in the top five of all fantasy formats.

|Cowboys | Adrian Peterson not in Dallas' plans|
Tue, 26 May 2015 05:29:07 -0700
Updating an ongoing story, the Dallas Cowboys have moved on from the idea of trading for Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson, despite persistent rumors, according to The Dallas Morning News' Brandon George. Don't entirely rule out anything when it comes to Dallas owner and general manager Jerry Jones, George says, but the belief is that the organization is largely content with their current crop of running backs.
Fantasy Tip: Peterson trade rumors probably will continue to float about for the duration of his contract -- three more years -- or until something actually happens. Until it does, stay the course and trust him as a No. 1 fantasy back even if he is disgruntled with the Vikings.

|Vikings | Adrian Peterson still wants trade|
Mon, 25 May 2015 11:33:18 -0700
Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson still wants to be traded, according to a source. Peterson intends to skip all organized team activities, which would cause him to lose $250,000 in workout bonuses.
Fantasy Tip: This could be one step leading to a Peterson holdout. If he's willing to forfeit his workout bonus and miss significant time with teammates, he must really want a change of scenery. However, the Vikings have already said they aren't trading Peterson. This seems to be an immovable object meeting an unstoppable force. Stay tuned.

|Vikings | Adrian Peterson not attending OTAs|
Sun, 24 May 2015 18:16:25 -0700
Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson has informed head coach Mike Zimmer that he will not attend the optional practices that begin Tuesday, May 26, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
Fantasy Tip: Peterson is trying to force a trade, but a deal doesn't appear to be coming. While he may not like his current situation, it would be a major surprise if he went as far as to sit out games during the regular season. Happy or not, Peterson is a RB1 option in 2015.

|Vikings | Mike Zimmer talks Adrian Peterson|
Fri, 22 May 2015 06:42:15 -0700
Updating an ongoing story, Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson remains in pursuit of being traded or receiving a new contract and remains away from the organization during voluntary workouts. Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer told ESPN Radio he has a target date in mind of when he thinks Peterson will return to the team, but Zimmer did not give the specific date.
Fantasy Tip: Peterson remains among the elite fantasy football options in Round 1, and an upset Peterson could be a very productive one. Zimmer is likely referring to training camp, since Peterson will be fined if he doesn't show, but this situation will feel tenuous until AD steps foot onto the field in Week 1 wearing a Vikings jersey.

|Vikings | Adrian Peterson's agent seeks new deal|
Fri, 01 May 2015 08:34:30 -0700
Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson may be changing course in his pursuit of a trade as his agent, Ben Dogra, said he'd like the team to sign Peterson to an extension. "One of the things that I appreciate with the Vikings is their resolve to say 'we're not trading him,'" Dogra told USA TODAY Sports. "That tells me they value him not only as a football player, but what he's done for the organization. "I actually, as an agent, not only appreciate it - I accept it. But actions speak louder than words. If that's going to happen, and you want to keep him, then show him a commitment to make him retire as a Viking. And I haven't had that solution." Peterson has three years and $46 million left on his contract, but none of it is guaranteed.
Fantasy Tip: Peterson is still a high-end RB1. He'll likely be a first-round pick wherever he plays next season.

Thu, 30 Apr 2015 11:06:15 -0700

|Vikings | Adrian Peterson likely to stay in purple|
Tue, 28 Apr 2015 05:50:45 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Peterson, even if he remains in Minnesota, should be the team's main back yet again, and he'll likely be in consideration for the top overall fantasy pick in 2015 after sitting out almost the entire 2014 season. He's rested and determined to return as one of the elite rushers in the NFL.
