Tampa Bay Rays 3B Evan Longoria (foot) left the game early due to irritation of the plantar fasciitis issue in his foot.
Fantasy Tip: We wouldn't be surprised to see Longoria take some time off to let his foot issue clear up, and a disabled list stint is definitely not out of the question. He'll likely need surgery at some point, but he'll proabably wait until after the season. It'll be a matter of pain tolerance in-season, much like what Albert Pujols is going through. If Longo needs a DL stint, Sean Rodriguez would likely man the hot corner in his stead.

Tampa Bay Rays INF Sean Rodriguez (hand), who fractured his right hand last week while playing for Triple-A Durham, is confident he'll be able to return before the end of the season. Rodriguez took grounders before the Monday, Sept. 3, series opener against the New York Yankees and flipped balls back in with his broken hand, still unable to throw the ball. He said doctors are planning to have Rodriguez undergo more X-rays "in a couple weeks" to see if the fracture is healing correctly.
