Chicago White Sox 2B Emilio Bonifacio is batting ninth and playing second base against the Cleveland Indians Thursday, May 21.
Fantasy Tip: Bonifaco ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is 5-for-23 with a .467 OPS through his six starts this season, and he is firmly entrenched in a bench role. FantasyScore players bargain hunting should be able to find a superior option, as stretching out an extra-base hit or swiping a base are his only paths to having an impact in daily contests.

Chicago White Sox 1B Adam LaRoche is not in the starting lineup Sunday, May 17. 2B Emilio Bonifacio will serve as the designated hitter for the White Sox.
Fantasy Tip: LaRoche ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) probably is not playing since the team is facing a left-handed pitcher. Bonifacio ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) has not received a lot of playing time this season and is not a great option for owners on FantasyScore to consider.

Chicago White Sox 2B Carlos Sanchez will come up from the minors to start Friday, May 15, and he'll take over as the team's starting second baseman. 2Bs Gordon Beckham and Emilio Bonifacio will continue to serve as utility infielders.
Fantasy Tip: Sanchez will immediately gain value in very deep mixed and AL-only leagues with a starting job. The 22-year-old Venezuelan doesn't possess much power (career-high seven home runs in the minors in 2014), but he does have 20-stolen base potential over a full season. Take a wait-and-see approach at FantasyScore, but Sanchez could become a popular sleeper pick if he starts out hot for the Pale Hose.

Chicago White Sox 2B Emilio Bonifacio is starting at second base and batting second against the Milwaukee Brewers Wednesday, May 13.
Fantasy Tip: Bonifacio ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) has only received 29 plate appearances this season and hasn't registered an extra-base hit of stolen base yet. He could be a nice low-priced flier hitting in the two-hole, but FantasyScore players will want to keep their expectations in check. Micah Johnson ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) has handled the majority of starts at second base this season, and he projects to continue to.

Chicago White Sox 2B Emilio Bonifacio is in the starting lineup Sunday, May 10.
Fantasy Tip: Bonifacio ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) will start at second base and has not seen a lot of playing time this season. He is batting only .143 this season and probably should be avoided on FantasyScore.

Chicago White Sox 2B Micah Johnson has the day off Friday, April 17. 2B Emilio Bonifacio is starting at second base and hitting ninth in the batting order against Detroit Tigers SP David Price.
Fantasy Tip: Bonifacio ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is a bit too expensive for our taste at FantasyScore, especially since he has just four at-bats this season and will be hitting out of the nine hole against Price.

Chicago White Sox 2Bs Micah Johnson and Carlos Sanchez will compete for the starting second base job this year, with 2Bs Emilio Bonifacio and Gordon Beckham providing depth.

Chicago White Sox 3B Conor Gillaspie has spent the last two years as the team's starting third baseman, but this year he'll likely serve in a platoon role with INF Emilio Bonifacio. Gillaspie hit a career-high .282 last season, but he struggled against lefties (.221/.248/.317) compared to .300/.360/.444 against right-handers. Bonifacio is much better from the right side while facing lefties. Gillaspie is willing to fill whatever role the team needs, and he gained roughly 15 pounds in the offseason so he can be more of a power threat.
