Dodgers | Scott Van Slyke activated

Fri, 28 Jun 2013 14:44:39 -0700

The Los Angeles Dodgers activated OF Scott Van Slyke (shoulder) from the 15-day disabled list Friday, June 28, and designated INF Luis Cruz for assignment in a corresponding move.

Fantasy Tip: Van Slyke returns to a crowded outfield arrangement, so he'll come off the bench for the Dodgers this time around. He only holds limited value in deep NL leagues.

Dodgers | Hanley Ramirez out

Fri, 07 Jun 2013 15:31:40 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers SS Hanley Ramirez (hamstring) is out of the lineup Friday, June 7, with tightness in the same hamstring that landed him on the disabled list.

Fantasy Tip: This is not what you want to hear as a Ramirez owner. He just came off the DL earlier this week. Monitor his progress and cross your fingers that it's just normal soreness from playing in games this week. If Ramirez is out for a while, Luis Cruz is likely to shift back to shortstop. Consider Cruz only in NL leagues.

Dodgers | Hanley Ramirez activated

Tue, 04 Jun 2013 15:23:37 -0700

The Los Angeles Dodgers activated SS Hanley Ramirez (hamstring) from the 15-day disabled list Tuesday, June 4, and placed SP Chris Capuano (forearm) on the 15-day DL in a corresponding move.

Fantasy Tip: Get Ramirez back into your lineups. Luis Cruz will be pushed back to third base, but he could be part of a platoon with Jerry Hairston Jr. or Nick Punto. Capuano will head to the DL for the second time this year. Stephen Fife could remain in the rotation for the time being after a nice outing against the San Diego Padres last night.

Dodgers | Hanley Ramirez to return this week

Mon, 03 Jun 2013 12:39:33 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers SS Hanley Ramirez (hamstring) will return from the disabled list this week, according to manager Don Mattingly. Ramirez will play for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga Monday, June 3, and could return to the team Tuesday, June 4.

Fantasy Tip: Now that Dee Gordon is back in the minors, Ramirez will return to shortstop and likely push Luis Cruz back to the hot corner. Prepare to get Ramirez back in your daily lineups this week.
