Tampa Bay Rays OF Kevin Kiermaier (foot) is absent from the lineup for a second straight day versus the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday, April 10. OF Carlos Gomez will get another start in center field and bat third, while OF Mallex Smith will get the nod in right and hit sixth. Kiermaier could be available to off the bench, however, according to manager Kevin Cash.

Updating a previous report, Tampa Bay Rays OF Carlos Gomez's one-year contract is worth $4 million. He can earn an additional $500,000 based on games played; he would receive $100,000 each for appearing in 80, 90, 100, 110 and 120 games.
