Milwaukee Brewers OF Carlos Gomez in the leadoff spot is the best option for the team, according to manager Ron Roenicke, and he wants to keep it that way. "I like Gomey leading off," said Roenicke. "I think it was a good way to start out (the season), what we did. If he gets on base, he can steal, and it seemed like he was scoring a lot. I think it's a good time to do it." Gomez was hitting .289 with three home runs and 20 RBI in 37 games in the cleanup spot and has hit .298 with 10 home runs and 23 RBI in 42 games from the leadoff spot this year.
Fantasy Tip: Obviously there isn't much difference in Gomez's production in the two different spots, minus the power numbers. Regardless, Gomez is a must-play in all formats, although a permanent move back to the top spot might hurt his RBI chances.
