|Cowboys | Dallas to continue to pound on ground|
Tue, 24 Mar 2015 07:15:43 -0700
Dallas Cowboys RBs Darren McFadden, Lance Dunbar and Joseph Randle figure to see a good amount of work in 2015. Head coach Jason Garrett said the team would like to continue their emphasis on inside running after losing RB DeMarco Murray to the Philadelphia Eagles. "Absolutely," Garrett said. "It has to be replaced. It was a good style of football for us to play. We will try to continue to do that."
Fantasy Tip: Run DMC is listed as the team's No. 1 running back on their depth chart with Dunbar and Randle as the secondary backs. Dunbar is a change-of-pace back and is more of a PPR RB5 flyer. McFadden and Randle are pretty similar, but McFadden has a lengthy history of futility and injuries. It's possible the younger Randle overtakes him in camp. For now, though, McFadden should be viewed as a high-end RB3 and Randle as a RB4.

|Cowboys | Darren McFadden has per-game bonuses|
Sun, 15 Mar 2015 17:23:08 -0700
Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden's two-year contract includes per-game bonuses each year that will give him incentive to stay healthy or fight through injuries to be on the field. In 2015, McFadden can receive a $9,375 per-game bonus. If he plays all 16 games in 2015, McFadden would receive $150,000 from the Cowboys. In 2016, McFadden can receive a $31,250 per-game bonus.
Fantasy Tip: While the monetary motivation should help him fight through smaller injuries, McFadden has suffered his share of serious injuries, as well. He offers great upside now that he is running behind Dallas' powerful offensive line, but if you draft him, make sure you have a solid backup plan.

|Cowboys | Darren McFadden agrees with Dallas|
Fri, 13 Mar 2015 07:35:07 -0700
Fantasy Tip: "Run DMC" will be in position to share the load with Joseph Randle next season. McFadden has failed to remain healthy and live up to the hype, but Dallas' offensive line is one of the best in football. He'll be a decent RB4 flyer with a little upside in 2015. Randle has the edge for now as a good RB3 target.

|Raiders | Darren McFadden unlikely back with Oakland|
Thu, 05 Mar 2015 17:23:14 -0800
Fantasy Tip: The free-agent running back market will be flooded with plenty of talent in 2015, so McFadden isn't likely to find a great deal from interested parties. However, he could still yield some decent fantasy value next year, depending on where he lands. Health has always been the question for him.

|Raiders | Raiders excited about Latavius Murray|
Fri, 05 Dec 2014 09:29:29 -0800
Oakland Raiders RB Latavius Murray had 112 yards and two touchdowns on just four carries against the Kansas City Chiefs, and the team is excited about what he can provide them down the stretch. "I love the way Latavius runs the football," interim head coach Tony Sparano said. "I like what I've seen, but I've seen (14) carries. I want to see more of them. I'm curious, too. I'm curious just like the fans are curious." Despite Sparano's curiosity, he stated that Murray won't immediately be a workhorse back in Week 14 against the San Francisco 49ers. It's likely that RBs Darren McFadden and Maurice Jones-Drew will see significant touches this weekend, but Murray will likely have an increased workload than what he's seen in the past.
Fantasy Tip: Unfortunately for those itching to use Murray ($4,800) at FantasyScore, this probably isn't the week to do it. McFadden ($3,800) should continue to see most of the work, but if he's sharing touches in what now may be a three-headed monster, we don't recommend him for daily lineups.

|Raiders | Latavius Murray to be more involved?|
Mon, 17 Nov 2014 14:21:54 -0800
Oakland Raiders RB Latavius Murray had four carries for 43 yards in the team's Week 11 loss to the San Diego Chargers, and his 23-yard run late in the third quarter was the team's longest rushing gain for a running back of the season. "They've been wanting to get me in the mix more and that's all I can ask," Murray said. "When they do, I have to make sure they give me a reason to put me back in there." Murray is a much bigger back than either RBs Darren McFadden or Maurice Jones-Drew, and he runs with an upright style. Oakland finished with 71 yards on 19 carries, which was their highest rushing output since Oct. 12 in their first matchup with the Chargers.
Fantasy Tip: At this point in the Raiders' winless season, they just might be motivated to make a drastic change in the backfield in hopes of better results. Murray will continue to be cheap at FantasyScore if you're feeling very bold in Week 12.

|Raiders | More carries for Darren McFadden?|
Tue, 14 Oct 2014 19:04:58 -0700
Fantasy Tip: With McFadden looking like the clear No. 1 back, an increased emphasis on the run game should boost his value going forward. He probably isn't a great play at FantasyScore in Week 7 when the Raiders face the third-ranked run defense of the Arizona Cardinals, but McFadden could turn into a useful option when the matchups are favorable.

|Raiders | Bigger role coming for MJD?|
Sat, 11 Oct 2014 18:10:15 -0700
Oakland Radiers RB Maurice Jones-Drew has just 11 carries for 12 yards in two games this season, but interim head coach Tony Sparano said he wants him to share the load with RB Darren McFadden. "I'd like Maurice to take a little bit greater role, maybe get some snaps off of Darren," Sparano said. "If we could, keep them both fresh that way, but we also have got to be running the football and doing some things that way too."
Fantasy Tip: It looks like Jones-Drew will be eating into Darren McFadden's carries with Sporano taking over, and the situation is worth watching going forward. However, neither back is a great option at FantasyScore in Week 6 against the ninth-ranked run defense of the San Diego Chargers.

|Raiders | Darren McFadden goes distance|
Sun, 28 Sep 2014 20:37:10 -0700
Oakland Raiders RB Darren McFadden carried 11 times for 40 yards in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins in London, while RB Maurice Jones-Drew (hand) carried twice for just one yard. McFadden also had four receptions for 32 yards, while Jones-Drew had two catches for only two yards.
Fantasy Tip: McFadden received a majority of the touches in the Oakland backfield before the team mostly abandoned the run with a lopsided score in the second half. For now, McFadden has more fantasy appeal between the two backs.
