Cowboys | Joseph Randle part of committee?

Fri, 28 Aug 2015 19:06:11 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Joseph Randle will share reps with RB Darren McFadden and RB Lance Dunbar because the Cowboys "intend to take a committee approach," according to Drew Davison of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Fantasy Tip: With Randle unable to separate himself as the lead back, he should be considered a low-end RB2. However, he has plenty of upside if he can eventually earn a bulk of the carries.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden practices fully

Wed, 26 Aug 2015 23:56:23 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (neck) returned to practice in full Wednesday, Aug. 26.

Fantasy Tip: McFadden has been marred by injuries in camp and is a handcuff to Joseph Randle or RB4 in fantasy right now.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden expects to practice

Wed, 26 Aug 2015 13:39:10 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (neck, shoulder) said he expects to participate in practice Wednesday, Aug. 26, after being limited Tuesday, Aug. 25, because of neck and shoulder soreness. McFadden believes he will be able to play in the third preseason game Saturday, Aug. 29.

Fantasy Tip: McFadden has dealt with minor injuries during training camp but appears ready to play in the next preseason game. McFadden is not expected to start this season but could see some carries during games and could be a late-round option as a possible handcuff to Joseph Randle.

Cowboys | None of Dallas RBs standing out

Mon, 24 Aug 2015 18:10:54 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Joseph Randle had seven carries for 30 yards in the preseason game Sunday, Aug. 23, against the San Francisco 49ers, while RB Darren McFadden had three totes for just four yards. RB Lance Dunbar didn't have a run from scrimmage, and managed just two grabs for three yards. "We didn't run the ball very well," head coach Jason Garrett said. "Obviously we were trying to control the line of scrimmage and didn't do a very good job of that." The team was also playing without three starters along the offensive line, so that needs to be taken into account.

Fantasy Tip: Perhaps Jerry Jones and the Dallas braintrust are re-thinking their decision to let DeMarco Murray walk in the offseason. Randle appears to be the frontrunner for the starting, and all indications are he has had the best camp, but it could be a three-headed monster with a 50-30-20 sort of split until one emerges as the clear-cut bellcow. That's just an estimate and not based on any reports, but it is something to keep in mind, especially for FantasyScore players early in the season.

Cowboys | Quiet debut for Darren McFadden

Sun, 23 Aug 2015 20:55:40 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden had three carries for four yards and caught a pass for three yards in two series in a preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers Sunday, Aug. 23.

Fantasy Tip: McFadden didn't do much in his first game action for the Cowboys, but it is worth noting the offensive line was missing multiple starters. Joseph Randle appears to have the inside track to the starting gig, but McFadden should see his share of touches, as well. Take him in the middle rounds and hope he stays healthy and carves out a large role.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden to start Sunday

Sun, 23 Aug 2015 16:07:23 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden will start at running back in a preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers Sunday, Aug. 23.

Fantasy Tip: With Joseph Randle sitting out with an oblique injury, McFadden will have a chance to show his stuff. If McFadden shines and Randle's injury lingers, McFadden could open the year as the starter or at least earn a bigger chunk of the carries. He is a high-risk, high-reward pick, but he is worth taking a chance on in the middle rounds of drafts.

Cowboys | Dallas expected to have top RBs Sunday

Fri, 21 Aug 2015 14:33:07 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RBs Joseph Randle (oblique), Darren McFadden (hamstring) and Lance Dunbar (ankle) are all expected to receive some playing time during the second preseason game Sunday, Aug. 23, according to owner/general manager Jerry Jones.

Fantasy Tip: All three running backs have dealt with minor injuries during training camp, but they appear ready to play. Randle should see most of the work this season and could be a middle-round draft pick. McFadden should see limited work during games and could be a late-round option or a handcuff to Randle. Dunbar should serve as the team's third-down back and could have value in point-per-reception leagues.

Cowboys | Dallas to use running-back-by-committee?

Thu, 20 Aug 2015 16:31:29 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden hinted that the Cowboys will use a running-back-by-committee approach this season, mainly between he and RB Joseph Randle. "You know the competitor in me definitely wants to be the No. 1 guy that goes out there. But at the same time, it's like, man, you know we're going to split carries. So whoever goes out there or goes out there second -- I just know whenever I do get a chance to get the ball in my hands, I'm going to go out there and go 110%," McFadden said.

Fantasy Tip: Dallas' backfield is a muddled picture, but Randle is expected to see first crack at the majority role. However, he will yield carries to McFadden if he can stay healthy, so owning both in your fantasy league would be idea. The good news is that both runners are working behind an elite offensive line.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden taking 1st-team reps

Tue, 18 Aug 2015 18:23:08 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden was taking first-team repetitions Monday, Aug. 17. McFadden dominated one-on-one pass drills, impressing owner/general manager Jerry Jones, "McFadden hit that thing for the first time up in there and showed some real stuff, and he sure showed some real burst in a couple of drills where they weren't just full tackling," Jones raved Tuesday morning. "Boy, if we can keep him out there, he'll tear their you know what up."

Fantasy Tip: McFadden is making excellent use of his time while Joseph Randle remains sidelined by an oblique strain. The more reps McFadden can get in at this point, the more likely he is to begin the season as the Cowboys' starter.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden barely used

Mon, 17 Aug 2015 18:29:10 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden got two team repetitions Monday, Aug. 17, with both plays being pass plays. McFadden looked good in pass protection.

Fantasy Tip: In the Cowboys' tight running back competition, the small things will matter. The most well-rounded back could become the starter.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden may be limited

Mon, 17 Aug 2015 12:45:32 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) is expected to participate in individual and 7-on-7 drills during practice Monday, Aug. 17, but likely will skip the team drills.

Fantasy Tip: McFadden is working his way back from his hamstring injury and likely will be eased back into practice. McFadden probably will not start this season but could see some carries as a backup. Owners should consider McFadden a late-round option in drafts as a possible handcuff to Joseph Randle.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden expected to practice

Sat, 15 Aug 2015 07:09:44 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) is expected to participate in practice Saturday, Aug. 15.

Fantasy Tip: McFadden has been the last few weeks because of his injury, but it looks like he will be able to return to practice. He has fallen behind in the competition for the starting running back job but could have a solid role even if he does not start. McFadden could be a late-round option in most leagues.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden in pads

Thu, 13 Aug 2015 16:53:12 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) was in a practice jersey and shoulder pads Thursday, Aug. 13, prior to the preseason opener against the San Diego Chargers.

Fantasy Tip: McFadden needs to get healthy in order to have a legitimate chance at competing with Joseph Randle for the starting job to begin the season.

Cowboys | Joseph Randle has impressed

Mon, 10 Aug 2015 17:01:24 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Joseph Randle has impressed the team during training camp, and the starting running back job is his to lose with both RBs Darren McFadden (hamstring) and Lance Dunbar (ankle) dealing with injuries.

Fantasy Tip: Running behind arguably the best offensive line in the entire league, Randle has tons of upside as the front-runner for the starting running back job in Dallas. He has RB2 upside as an early-round fantasy pick.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden making progress

Mon, 10 Aug 2015 15:47:03 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) is making progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury, and the team hopes he will be able to practice Saturday, Aug. 15.

Fantasy Tip: McFadden probably will miss the first few preseason games since he has not practice recently. McFadden likely will start the season as a backup to Joseph Randle but should receive some carries. McFadden could be a late-round option in some drafts this season.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden to practice soon?

Sat, 08 Aug 2015 12:18:10 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) is expected to see an increased workload next week. The Cowboys want him to practice after the first preseason game against the San Diego Chargers Thursday, Aug. 13.

Fantasy Tip: Injures are to Darren McFadden what bark is to trees. He's a risky pick every single year. Yes, the solid offensive line makes him a more attractive option, but he won't be running behind that line if he's not healthy. Joseph Randle is the Dallas running back worth drafting this year.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden not guaranteed spot

Sat, 08 Aug 2015 09:22:22 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden could be released if he does not perform like the team expects during training camp and the preseason.

Fantasy Tip: McFadden is working his way back from injury but will have plenty of time to make the final roster. He probably will not win the starting job but could receive some carries during the season. McFadden could be a late-round options in draft if he does not win the starting job.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden could return Saturday

Thu, 06 Aug 2015 14:36:19 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) could make his debut at training camp as early as Saturday, Aug. 8, after dealing with a strained hamstring. He said he has done some running and cutting without any setbacks the last few days. The Cowboys don't practice Friday, Aug. 7. "I did a little straight-line running and a little cutting, so I got a good feel for it. It's one of those things where the trainers want to make sure I can put a couple of days back to back before they throw me back out there. I'm just looking forward to getting back out there on the field. No soreness or swelling the next day, so definitely a good sign for me."

Fantasy Tip: Raise your hand if you've heard McFadden sitting out of practice before. Yep, the running back has been injury-prone in his career, and it looks like that hasn't changed as camp begins. McFadden won't be the main ball carrier in Dallas' backfield, and he's expected to share repetitions with Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar. Given McFadden's injury history, Randle is much more appealing to fantasy owners.

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) is making progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury but will not participate in practice Thursday, Aug. 6.

Cowboys | Dallas frustrated with Darren McFadden

Thu, 06 Aug 2015 05:21:27 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstrings) is building frustration with the team because of his absence and the load he's putting on the other running backs.

Fantasy Tip: Joseph Randle looks to be pulling away from Run DMC, but if McFadden makes the team, he'll be a worthwhile RB4.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden nearing return

Wed, 05 Aug 2015 20:15:03 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) remains on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, but he is inching closer to a return to the practice field as soon as Saturday, Aug. 8. "I've been feeling good, man," McFadden said Wednesday, Aug. 5. "I'm just looking forward to getting back out there on the field."

Fantasy Tip: McFadden has plenty of talent, but he just cannot seem to stay healthy. He is worth a late-round fantasy selection on draft day, but anywhere higher is too risky, especially as long as Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar are healthy.

Tue, 04 Aug 2015 17:54:40 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) is expected to be fully healed in time for the season opener against the New York Giants, according to owner and general manager Jerry Jones.

Fantasy Tip: The early injury to Run DMC should show owners the risk associated with drafting him. Joseph Randle remains the more advisable running back to draft from the Cowboys.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden's injury not the same

Thu, 30 Jul 2015 13:54:52 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden's (hamstring) hamstring injury is not the same hamstring he injured during organized team activities. Head coach Jason Garrett said he is hopeful McFadden will be back in a week.

Fantasy Tip: It's certainly not encouraging that McFadden is having issues with both of his hamstrings already, considering the season hasn't even started and considering his extensive injury history. McFadden is being drafted as a low-end RB2 to high-end RB3, but he comes with high risk.

Thu, 30 Jul 2015 10:31:55 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) was placed on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list Thursday, July 30.

Fantasy Tip: McFadden is expected to compete for the starting running back when he is healthy enough to practice. McFadden may not win the job but should still see solid playing time this season if he stays healthy. He could be a middle- to late-round option in leagues depending on his role.

Cowboys | Dallas still not interested in veterans

Tue, 28 Jul 2015 17:50:51 -0700

The Dallas Cowboys are still not interested in veteran RBs Chris Johnson and Ray Rice, following the release of RB Ryan Williams Tuesday, July 28. The Cowboys remain confident in RBs Joseph Randle, Darren McFadden and Lance Dunbar.

Fantasy Tip: While Randle and McFadden are thought to have separated themselves from Dunbar, neither one has an upper hand over the other at this point. This will be one of the most closely watched position battles all preseason.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden may open camp as No. 2 RB

Wed, 15 Jul 2015 11:08:33 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) is expected to compete for the starting running back job but will enter training camp as the No. 2 back in part because he missed some offseason workouts because of an injury.

Fantasy Tip: McFadden has struggled with injuries in his career, so it will be important for him to stay healthy during camp. He should have a solid role on offense even if he does not win the job. McFadden could be a middle-round option in deeper leagues if he does win the starting job.

Cowboys | Concerns with Darren McFadden?

Thu, 02 Jul 2015 19:54:21 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden has topped 155 carries just twice in his seven years in the league, and he has averaged less than 3.5 yards per carry in each of the last three seasons.

Fantasy Tip: McFadden's production should improve thanks to Dallas' dominant offensive line, but it remains to be seen if he can physically hold up while serving as a lead back. McFadden has RB1 upside, but banking on him being around all season to carry your fantasy backfield could be a recipe for disaster.

Cowboys | No lead candidate at RB in Dallas?

Tue, 30 Jun 2015 13:07:48 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RBs Darren McFadden, Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar are still battling each other for the starting running back position, according to running backs coach Gary Brown. "I can't say who is going to be the lead dog right now, but those guys are going to compete and we're going to do what's necessary to win games," Brown said.

Fantasy Tip: Brown can say what he wants, but Randle and McFadden are probably the likely candidates to receive the most touches, with Randle having a slight edge for being named the starter. Randle should be taken as a RB3, or low-end RB2 in deeper leagues, while McFadden is more of a low-end RB3 to high-end RB4, especially taking his injury history into consideration.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden healthy, happy where he is

Mon, 29 Jun 2015 11:12:53 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden said he's excited to be with the Cowboys and feels like he's a rookie again. McFadden also said the injured hamstring that caused him to miss time this offseason is feeling great.

Fantasy Tip: McFadden will mainly be competing with Joseph Randle for the starting running back job. Lance Dunbar, Ryan Williams and Lache Seastrunk will also be in the mix. Randle is probably the safer option, considering McFadden's extensive injury history, and should be drafted in the low-end RB2 to high-end RB3 range.

Cowboys | Ryan Williams not a fit in Big D?

Mon, 22 Jun 2015 20:30:52 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Ryan Williams is unlikely to make the 53-man roster projected by beat writer Todd Archer. The team's running backs would be RBs Joseph Randle, Darren McFadden, Lance Dunbar and FB Tyler Clutts.

Fantasy Tip: Williams could still very well make the team, as this is just one man's opinion, but the former Cardinals tailback needs to prove he can stay healthy and be effective first.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden practices

Wed, 17 Jun 2015 07:22:09 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) practiced in full Tuesday, June 16. "I'm 100% and ready to go play ball," McFadden said. "It felt great. We were just taking precautions, they didn't want me to mess it up or anything crazy. Just being out there today, it felt great. I was out there running, opening up and just trying to do what I can do."

Fantasy Tip: Joseph Randle is gaining steam and appears to be the leader in this committee. Run DMC is a risky RB3 that could heed some reward if Randle falters.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden frustrated

Fri, 12 Jun 2015 15:37:01 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) said he is frustrated that he is not able to participate in organized team activities but would rather sit out now than have his hamstring injury linger.

Fantasy Tip: McFadden has dealt with injuries during his career but is hoping to be healthy for the start of training camp. McFadden likely will be part of a committee at running back and could see the most carries during the regular season if he is healthy. McFadden could be an option in the middle rounds of drafts this season but may not be a weekly starting option.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden continues to rehab

Wed, 10 Jun 2015 21:13:29 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) worked on the side Wednesday, June 10, at organized team activities (OTAs), as he continues to rehab his strained hamstring.

Fantasy Tip: Well, its good to see McFadden is in mid-season form. Seriously, he has a ton of talent and could put up huge numbers if he stays healthy behind the behemoth line in Big D. However, be sure to have plenty of depth at the position in seasonal fantasy leagues, and perhaps add Joseph Randle or Lance Dunbar as a handcuff, too.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden wants to produce

Thu, 04 Jun 2015 10:22:09 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden wants to prove that he is not a bust and will be given the opportunity as part of the Cowboys' running-back-by-committee approach, according to running backs coach Gary Brown. McFadden has been splitting first-team reps with RB Joseph Randle. McFadden averaged 3.3 yards per carry the last time he played in a zone-blocking scheme, but Brown is not worried about those numbers.

Fantasy Tip: McFadden may not be the starting running back this season but should receive a good amount of work each game. McFadden has struggled at times in previous seasons but could be a middle-round option on fantasy drafts if he is able to produce behind a better offensive line.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden has hammy strain

Wed, 03 Jun 2015 22:24:21 -0700

Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) was working on the side Wednesday, June 3, at organized team activities (OTAs) due to a hamstring strain.

Fantasy Tip: And so it begins for McFadden, who has had a difficult time staying on the field during his NFL career. He has so much talent that he is worth using in all fantasy formats, but if you plan to draft him have plenty of depth on hand.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden works on side

Wed, 03 Jun 2015 20:42:47 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (undisclosed) did not participate in team drills during organized team activities Wednesday, June 3. He rehabbed an undisclosed injury with trainers on the side.

Fantasy Tip: McFadden's injury history makes any ailment more notable than usual. Monitor his status, but all indications suggest it is a minor situation.

Cowboys | Joseph Randle handing bigger load

Fri, 29 May 2015 06:15:48 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Joseph Randle took the majority of the first-team repetitions the first two days of organized team activities this week. RB Darren McFadden split the reps with Randle Wednesday, May 27.

Fantasy Tip: Randle appears to be in the lead in the committee and shakes out as a low-end RB2 right now. Run DMC will still have a say in the matter and is a quality RB3 to target in traditional formats.

Cowboys | Dallas splitting reps at RB

Wed, 27 May 2015 18:26:07 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RBs Darren McFadden and Joseph Randle have been splitting reps with the first-team offense during organized team activities this week.

Fantasy Tip: Both players likely will receive playing time this upcoming season, but it is not known which player will be the starter. Owners probably should consider the winner of the job to be a middle-round option, while the other player could be selected in the late rounds.

Cowboys | Jerry Jones confident in run game

Thu, 14 May 2015 16:41:17 -0700

Dallas Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones expressed confidence in the team's overall run game Thursday, May 14. "You say the entire running game, and that would be including our tight ends, including our fullback the entire game we're better," Jones said. The Cowboys have yet to determine roles for their running backs. As it stands, RB Darren McFadden is at the top of the depth chart, with RBs Joseph Randle, Lance Dunbar and Ryan Williams in the mix.

Fantasy Tip: With McFadden's extensive injury history he'll represent too much uncertainty come draft time. If Joseph Randle remains buried on the depth chart, he'll make for an excellent source of value after he rushed for 6.7 yards per carry on 51 attempts last season.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden to return kicks?

Sun, 03 May 2015 17:26:14 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden could return kicks this season, head coach Jason Garrett said Saturday, May 3.

Fantasy Tip: Although Garrett said McFadden could be involved on special teams, it seems unlikely that the Cowboys would risk the health of the oft-injured back on return duty. If McFadden can stay healthy, he has RB1 upside behind Dallas' stout offensive line.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden set to carry load?

Sat, 02 May 2015 21:27:17 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden remains the frontrunner to be the lead back in 2015 after Dallas didn't select a running back in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Fantasy Tip: If McFadden can stay healthy, he could have a big year behind Dallas' dominant offensive line. He is too much of an injury risk to select in the early rounds of fantasy drafts, but he is one back that will be available in the middle rounds that has the potential to produce like a RB1.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden ready to produce

Fri, 03 Apr 2015 10:03:31 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden is ready to show the world that he's better than what he showed in the last couple of seasons with the Oakland Raiders, and he's confident that he'll produce more behind a great offensive line in Dallas. "I just want to go out there and continue to show people what I can do," McFadden said. "I still don't think the world has seen the best of Darren McFadden."

Fantasy Tip: Talk is cheap. McFadden has only played in 16 games once in his seven-year career, and that came in 2014. However, he averaged a career-low 5.9 yards per carry in his final season with Oakland. Regardless, McFadden is set up to rebound in Dallas, even if he doesn't play a full season. The risk-reward is hard to pass up in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts in 2015.

Cowboys | Dallas to continue to pound on ground

Tue, 24 Mar 2015 07:15:43 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RBs Darren McFadden, Lance Dunbar and Joseph Randle figure to see a good amount of work in 2015. Head coach Jason Garrett said the team would like to continue their emphasis on inside running after losing RB DeMarco Murray to the Philadelphia Eagles. "Absolutely," Garrett said. "It has to be replaced. It was a good style of football for us to play. We will try to continue to do that."

Fantasy Tip: Run DMC is listed as the team's No. 1 running back on their depth chart with Dunbar and Randle as the secondary backs. Dunbar is a change-of-pace back and is more of a PPR RB5 flyer. McFadden and Randle are pretty similar, but McFadden has a lengthy history of futility and injuries. It's possible the younger Randle overtakes him in camp. For now, though, McFadden should be viewed as a high-end RB3 and Randle as a RB4.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden has per-game bonuses

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden's two-year contract includes per-game bonuses each year that will give him incentive to stay healthy or fight through injuries to be on the field. In 2015, McFadden can receive a $9,375 per-game bonus. If he plays all 16 games in 2015, McFadden would receive $150,000 from the Cowboys. In 2016, McFadden can receive a $31,250 per-game bonus.

Fantasy Tip: While the monetary motivation should help him fight through smaller injuries, McFadden has suffered his share of serious injuries, as well. He offers great upside now that he is running behind Dallas' powerful offensive line, but if you draft him, make sure you have a solid backup plan.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden agrees with Dallas

Fri, 13 Mar 2015 07:35:07 -0700

Free-agent RB Darren McFadden agreed to a two-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys Friday, March 13. The deal is pending a physical.

Fantasy Tip: "Run DMC" will be in position to share the load with Joseph Randle next season. McFadden has failed to remain healthy and live up to the hype, but Dallas' offensive line is one of the best in football. He'll be a decent RB4 flyer with a little upside in 2015. Randle has the edge for now as a good RB3 target.

Raiders | Darren McFadden unlikely back with Oakland

Thu, 05 Mar 2015 17:23:14 -0800

Oakland Raiders impending free-agent RB Darren McFadden is not expected to be re-signed this offseason. The Raiders will be looking for competition for RB Latavius Murray.

Fantasy Tip: The free-agent running back market will be flooded with plenty of talent in 2015, so McFadden isn't likely to find a great deal from interested parties. However, he could still yield some decent fantasy value next year, depending on where he lands. Health has always been the question for him.

Raiders | Raiders excited about Latavius Murray

Fri, 05 Dec 2014 09:29:29 -0800

Oakland Raiders RB Latavius Murray had 112 yards and two touchdowns on just four carries against the Kansas City Chiefs, and the team is excited about what he can provide them down the stretch. "I love the way Latavius runs the football," interim head coach Tony Sparano said. "I like what I've seen, but I've seen (14) carries. I want to see more of them. I'm curious, too. I'm curious just like the fans are curious." Despite Sparano's curiosity, he stated that Murray won't immediately be a workhorse back in Week 14 against the San Francisco 49ers. It's likely that RBs Darren McFadden and Maurice Jones-Drew will see significant touches this weekend, but Murray will likely have an increased workload than what he's seen in the past.

Fantasy Tip: Unfortunately for those itching to use Murray ($4,800) at FantasyScore, this probably isn't the week to do it. McFadden ($3,800) should continue to see most of the work, but if he's sharing touches in what now may be a three-headed monster, we don't recommend him for daily lineups.
