Seahawks | Marshawn Lynch not at OTAs

Tue, 26 May 2015 19:09:47 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch was not present for organized team activities Tuesday, May 26. Lynch has skipped offseason workouts in previous years.

Fantasy Tip: Lynch does not need to participate in the offseason workouts and should be ready for the start of training camp. Lynch has been very consistent over the last four years and should be a first-round option in most leagues next season.

Redskins | Matt Jones the future in Washington?

Sat, 09 May 2015 19:12:34 -0700

Washington Redskins RB Matt Jones was compared to Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch by general manager Scot McCloughan because of his love of contact and downhill running style. McCloughan also said he expects Jones' snaps to increase in December and January.

Fantasy Tip: McCloughan's comments seem to contradict Jay Gruden's comments that Alfred Morris' workload won't be impacted by Jones. It sounds like Jones could end up having a bigger role as the year goes on, and with Morris' contract up after 2015, Jones could be the back of the future for the Redskins. For now, Morris' owners should consider securing Jones later in drafts as an insurance policy.

Fantasy Tip: Lynch should continue to be a terrific fantasy running back next season since he will be staying with the Seahawks. He has rushed for at least 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns in each of the last four seasons. Lynch likely will be selected in the first round of most fantasy drafts.

Seahawks | Marshawn Lynch: I wanted the football

Mon, 02 Mar 2015 04:33:12 -0800

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch said he wanted the ball on the goal line in the Super Bowl on the play that saw QB Russell Wilson throw the game-ending interception in the end zone. Lynch previously told reporters that he didn't mind and that it was a team game.

Fantasy Tip: Maybe he had a month to think it over? Why Lynch would talk to a Turkish TV station is another story, but given Lynch's rocky media history it makes sense. Lynch is a solid RB1 in all fantasy leagues if he does not retire.

Fantasy Tip: The Lynch potential retirement saga could be coming to an end. As long as he ultimately ends up back in Seattle, he should be considered a RB1 for fantasy purposes.
