Mon, 02 Mar 2015 04:33:12 -0800

Fantasy Tip: Maybe he had a month to think it over? Why Lynch would talk to a Turkish TV station is another story, but given Lynch's rocky media history it makes sense. Lynch is a solid RB1 in all fantasy leagues if he does not retire.

Lynch, who's entering the final season of his contract, could end up receiving a three-year offer, according to multiple league sources.

Fantasy Tip: It'll be difficult for Lynch to retire and leave that kind of money on the table when he's still on top of his game. He'll be in the conversation of the top-five running backs taken in 2015 drafts.

Fantasy Tip: Although nothing is set in stone yet, it is starting to sound like Lynch could decide to put off retirement for at least another year. If he does return to the Seahawks, he should be treated as a No. 1 option at running back for fantasy purposes.

Seahawks | Marshawn Lynch expected to return?

Fri, 20 Feb 2015 16:31:44 -0800

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch is expected to return next season because of his close relationships with offensive line coach Tom Cable and running backs coach Sherman Smith, according to NFL Network analyst Michael Robinson. Robinson and Lynch are close friends.

Fantasy Tip: Lynch has one year remaining on his current contract, but he's yet to announce his return for the 2015 season. We'd be surprised if he hung up the cleats. Age is becoming a factor for Beast Mode, but if he comes back in 2015, he's still one of the steadier running back options in the first round.

Seahawks | Marshawn Lynch retirement still possible

Thu, 19 Feb 2015 09:57:41 -0800

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch continues to ponder if he'll return for another season, and general manager John Schneider said he wouldn't be surprised if Lynch chose to retire. Schneider also said he's confident RBs Robert Turbin and Christine Michael could carry the load if Lynch doesn't return in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Lynch is a unique fellow, so we wouldn't be very surprised if he hung them up, either. It's unclear when Lynch will make his decision, but if he does come back, he should remain a fairly safe first-round pick, even at his age.

Fri, 13 Feb 2015 18:34:00 -0800

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch's back issues are chronic and could become worse if he continues to play, and his long-term health will be a factor in whether or not he decides to return in 2015, according to people familiar with the situation.

Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners will just have to wait and see if Lynch decides to return for another year. If he does return to Seattle, he should remain a No. 1 running back in all fantasy formats.

Tue, 10 Feb 2015 12:21:03 -0800

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch will not be playing at his current salary if he returns in 2015, according to general manager John Schneider. Lynch would likely be getting a raise and it has already been reported that Lynch has been given an offer that would pay him at least $10 million next season.

Fantasy Tip: Despite Lynch's controversial off-field antics, no one can refute his on-field success. Assuming he returns in 2015, he'll maintain his No. 1 fantasy running back status.

Seahawks | Marshawn Lynch's status still uncertain

Tue, 10 Feb 2015 11:48:56 -0800

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch's availability for next season is still unknown, according to general manager John Schneider. "Whether or not he wants to play next year, I can't answer that," Schneider said. "I don't know if he knows at this juncture." Schneider added that if Lynch does return, they plan to re-do his contract.

Fantasy Tip: Lynch was tied for the league lead in rushing touchdowns last year with 13, so his importance to the Seahawks' offense and to fantasy lineups cannot be understated. If he does come back, he remains a No. 1 fantasy running back option and worthy of first-round consideration in 2015 drafts.

Seahawks | Marshawn Lynch levied multiple fines

Thu, 22 Jan 2015 06:48:05 -0800

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch was fined $20,000 Thursday, Jan. 22, for an obscene gesture he made after scoring a touchdown in the NFC Championship game, according to an NFL official. He's also subject to a fine for not speaking to the media after the game, and the league is considering fining him significantly more than the $50,000 he has been previously fined for not speaking to reporters. An NFL official said there would be increasing fines if Lynch misses sessions during Super Bowl week, with each fine being more than the two $50,000 fines already imposed and the upcoming penalty.

Fantasy Tip: Looking ahead, Lynch ($7,777; 15.5% of your cap) will arguably be the best RB option on FantasyScore for the Super Bowl.

Seahawks | Marshawn Lynch in rarified playoff air

Wed, 21 Jan 2015 16:40:12 -0800

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch is one of just seven NFL players in history that have rushed for more than 100 yards in five or more playoff games, joining Terrell Davis, Emmitt Smith, John Riggins, Thurman Thomas, Marcus Allen and Franco Harris. Lynch is averaging 94.3 yards in his last seven playoff games. He also leads the league in 100-yard games over the last four years with 24, one more than Houston Texans RB Arian Foster.

Fantasy Tip: It's almost impossible not to choose Lynch ($7,777, 15.55% of cap) for your FantasyScore rosters during the Super Bowl. Most of your competition is likely to run with Beast Mode, as well, during the big game.

Seahawks | Seattle open to Marshawn Lynch returning

Mon, 19 Jan 2015 07:16:50 -0800

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch is expected to return in 2015 with the team more than open to bringing him back at a $5 million salary. "Mainly because he actually has outperformed his contract and clearly established himself as the identity of this team," NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said on NFL Gameday Morning. "Basically, they don't have a choice based on the way he plays to bring him back."

Fantasy Tip: Lynch fell in a lot of traditional league drafts this past season because the sentiments were he was being scaled back into a committee. However, he had another strong season. He'll be a top-tier running back to target in the first couple of rounds next season.

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch has scored 11 of his 13 rushing touchdowns at home this season, including two in a Week 1 win over the Green Bay Packers.

Fantasy Tip: Lynch bulldozed the Packers in Week 1, and Green Bay's run defense looked shaky against DeMarco Murray in the divisional round. Lynch could be a smart investment at FantasyScore this weekend.

Seahawks | Marshawn Lynch held down by CAR

Tue, 06 Jan 2015 15:15:43 -0800

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch is averaging just 63.3 yards in three career games against the Carolina Panthers, and he had 62 yards on 14 carries when the two teams met in October.

Fantasy Tip: Despite Lynch's sub-par games against the Panthers in three career games, he should be a fine play at FantasyScore this weekend for $7,500 (15.0% of cap). The Panthers defense has been strong of late, but they've had trouble stopping bruising backs like Lynch at times.
