Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe worked out with Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald Monday, July 14, during Fitzgerald's annual workouts at the University of Minnesota.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe dropped some weight and has been working with a personal trainer this offseason, and he seems to be doing his part to rebound from a disappointing 2013 season. However, Kansas City's offense is built around Jamaal Charles, making Bowe a WR2 at best this year.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe looked great during offseason workouts.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe should again be the team's top option in the passing game in 2014. Owners should consider Bowe a low-end No. 2 or No. 3 wide receiver in fantasy drafts.

Tue, 22 Apr 2014 15:34:48 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe is focused more on working hard with his teammates and winning than individual statistics entering the 2014 season. Bowe also hired a personal trainer and nutritionist.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe has the potential to be a solid value pick in later rounds because of the volume of targets he'll receive. The upside may be limited, but the floor is borderline starter territory, especially in PPR formats, where he is a third fantasy option. Bowe bounced back from his previous career-worst season with his best in 2010.
Wed, 16 Apr 2014 15:58:06 -0700

He pleaded guilty to lesser charges of littering and defective equipment, and in return, the marijuana charge was dismissed. He agreed to pay $610 in fines and court costs.
Fantasy Tip: It remains to be seen if Bowe will face a suspension with the league, but it's highly unlikely at this point.
Mon, 17 Feb 2014 23:26:12 -0800
The Kansas City Chiefs would like to clear some extra cap space in order to further improve their roster, but there aren't many veterans who would be logical cap casualties. ESPN.com's Adam Teicher writes that the biggest savings would come from LB Tamba Hali, CB Brandon Flowers, and SS Eric Berry, but notes that those players are too productive to let go. WR Dwayne Bowe and CB Sean Smith would make more sense on the field, but financially are not options for release.

Thu, 26 Dec 2013 17:27:14 -0800
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (concussion) probably will not play Week 17 because of his concussion.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe's extra snaps could go to Junior Hemingway and A.J. Jenkins, but they are stretches to help you win a fantasy championship in Week 17.

Tue, 12 Nov 2013 18:10:21 -0800
ESPN.com's Ed Werder doesn't believe Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe will be disciplined for his marijuana arrest until the case is adjudicated, meaning it isn't likely to affect his availability for Week 11 against the Denver Broncos.
Fantasy Tip: It's reasonable to expect WR3 numbers in most formats from an active Bowe against a Broncos secondary that has been favorable to most passing games they've faced.
Tue, 12 Nov 2013 11:48:57 -0800
Kansas City Chiefs WR Junior Hemingway will step into the starting lineup in Week 11 against the Denver Broncos if WR Dwayne Bowe is suspended for the contest.
Fantasy Tip: Hemingway should only be an option for those desperate in cavernous leagues. There's no guarantee just yet that Bowe will be suspended this week, either.
Tue, 12 Nov 2013 08:01:32 -0800
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe was arrested Sunday, Nov. 10, and was charged with speeding and possession of marijuana. Bowe was clocked moving at 48 mph in a 35 mph zone. He has posted bond and has a court date set for Dec. 18.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe signed a five-year deal with the team before the season and hasn't had a very good year. It might be a little extreme for the 9-0 team to cut him due to this, but it certainly won't be very appealing to the team.

Fri, 01 Nov 2013 13:34:52 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (groin) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 1, and is listed as probable for Week 9.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe can be used as a No. 2 or No. 3 wide receiver on fantasy teams this week but probably would be safer as a flex option.
Thu, 31 Oct 2013 15:22:51 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (groin) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 31.
Fantasy Tip: It's a mild concern that Bowe went from a full practice Wednesday to being limited today. The matchup against the Buffalo Bills this weekend, in theory, should get him out of his funk, but it's not a guarantee. In the Chiefs offense, there isn't much upside for boom potential anymore. Consider him more of a WR3.
Wed, 30 Oct 2013 17:56:32 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (groin) was able to take part in a full practice session Wednesday, Oct. 30.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Dexter McCluster had a team-high seven catches for 67 yards and a touchdown in the team's Week 8 win over the Cleveland Brown. He also had one rush for five yards. "As a player, you never know when it's going to be your day," said McCluster, who was targeted by QB Alex Smith a team-high 10 times. "You just have to be there when it's time. I was able to get started early and get some balls early." His 13 touches were a season high, and the team has been looking for someone to step up and help lighten the workload for RB Jamaal Charles. Smith thinks the team will use McCluster more in the second half of the season.
Fantasy Tip: With Dwayne Bowe being limited with an injury, McCluster stepped up last Sunday. Bowe has been a disappointment, and McCluster's jack-of-all-trades versatility could make him a valuable asset down the stretch, especially in point-per-reception leagues. Consider adding him as receiver depth in deeper formats.
Sun, 27 Oct 2013 08:47:33 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (groin) will play in the team's Week 8 game.

Head coach Andy Reid said Bowe will be a game-time decision Sunday. "It's day to day," Reid said. "We'll just see how he does. He's feeling a little bit better today than he did yesterday." Bowe was injured toward the end of practice Thursday, Oct. 24.
Fantasy Tip: Donnie Avery and Dexter McCluster will be used more often if Bowe doesn't play or is limited in any fashion on game day. Junior Hemingway could also receive the start if Bowe is sidelined.
Thu, 24 Oct 2013 15:45:33 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (groin) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 24.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe was added to the injury report, but it doesn't appear to be a significant ailment. Keep tabs on his status tomorrow, but all nothing, as of now, would indicate that he's in jeopardy of missing the game against the Cleveland Browns.
Fri, 11 Oct 2013 19:43:52 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe has lacked explosion during the early going, and he has struggled to beat man coverage, giving the team a big problem.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe has managed at least four receptions in four of his five games, but he is averaging just 10.8 yards per grab, down from 13.6 yards per catch last season, which was just about his career average of 13.7 yards per catch. He has just 36.6 yards per game, too, and that's well off his average of 63.6 yards per game. At this point, he is only worth using as a WR4 or flex play.
Fri, 23 Aug 2013 18:10:38 -0700
The Kansas City Chiefs have played it safe with QB Alex Smith through the first two preseason games, as he has reportedly looked downfield very little. He has yet to target WR Dwayne Bowe during the preseason.

The Kansas City Chiefs released their first depth chart Sunday, Aug. 4, and WRs Donnie Avery and Dexter McCluster are listed as backups behind WRs Dwayne Bowe and Jonathan Baldwin. However, Avery and McCluster are frequently used in the slot or in multi-wideout formations.
Fantasy Tip: Avery and McCluster might have more fantasy potential than Baldwin, who has been rather disappointing over his first two NFL seasons. Still, each of the three should be considered WR4 or flex fantasy options.
Sun, 04 Aug 2013 20:04:47 -0700
The Kansas City Chiefs released their first depth chart Sunday, Aug. 4, and WR Jonathan Baldwin is listed as a starter opposite WR Dwayne Bowe.
Fantasy Tip: Even if Baldwin is able to hold off charges from Donnie Avery and Dexter McCluster during the preseason, he will need to be more consistent if he hopes to keep the gig. Baldwin is worth a flier as a WR4 or flex play, but don't rely upon him for anything else at this juncture.
Tue, 30 Jul 2013 20:32:13 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Jonathan Baldwin hasn't stood out during the early part of training camp, and will need to show something in the preseason. He is trying to hold off WR Donnie Avery for the starting job opposite WR Dwayne Bowe.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (leg) left organized team activities early Wednesday, May 29, because of a leg cramp. The injury is not believed to be serious.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe has time to let the injury heal but could participate in some workouts before the start of training camp. Bowe should be seen as a solid No. 2 wide receiver in fantasy leagues this season.
Wed, 15 May 2013 13:13:05 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe said he expects to lead the NFL in receptions and receiving touchdowns in 2013, and that RB Jamaal Charles will lead the league in rushing this season.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe should receive more targets under head coach Andy Reid but likely will not be a top fantasy wide receiver. He should be viewed as a solid No. 2 wide receiver option. Charles has shown he can be a top fantasy running back and should be an every-week starter in 2013.
Sat, 20 Apr 2013 09:58:30 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe said he likes the offense that head coach Andy Reid has brought to the team. "Throwing the ball deep, that's something we haven't done in the past so I'm excited right now. The play calling is totally different from last year. It's not check downs or putting it in the running back's hands. This guy likes to go down the field, take the top off (the defense) and that's something we haven't done in the past, put up a lot of points. This season he said we're going to blow out the scoreboard and that's something I'm looking forward to," Bowe said.

He said he understood the challenge ahead and he totally embraced that challenge," Dorsey said.

Mon, 04 Mar 2013 13:09:16 -0800
The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to terms with WR Dwayne Bowe on a new five-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe will be working with a new head coach in Andy Reid and a new quarterback in Alex Smith next season, which could affect his fantasy value. Bowe could be a more consistent receiver with Smith throwing to him and his receptions may increase in Reid's West Coast offense but may not be involved in many big plays. Owners in point-per-reception leagues could consider Bowe a solid No. 2 receiver next season while owners in standard scoring leagues should see Bowe as a No. 3 receiver.
