New York Giants CB Prince Amukamara will likely not get a contract extension this offseason. Amukamara is playing on a fifth-year option, and general manager Jerry Reese does not see the need to award an extension this offseason to gain cap relief.

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr., who claimed he played part of the season with two torn hamstrings, had his claim questioned by Giants general manager Jerry Reese. "I don't know about that," Reese said. "I think he's trying to be a hero. I don't think you can play with two [tears in your] hamstring and run fast like that. I think our doctors would've caught that."
Fantasy Tip: Reese went on to say Beckham would not have been played in the Pro Bowl had his hamstrings been both torn. Why Beckham is making this claim is a mystery, but it doesn't remove the fact Beckham had a solid rookie season. He is a strong wide receiver option for 2015 fantasy leagues.

New York Giants WR Victor Cruz (knee) looks good as he continues to recover from a torn right pateller tendon in his knee, according to general manager Jerry Reese. Reese said the Giants would not put all their eggs in that basket heading into next year.
Fantasy Tip: If Cruz can stay healthy next season, there is some upside to owning him in fantasy football, especially with team's trying to slow down Odell Beckham Jr. Still, health will be the big question, and Cruz should be considered a WR2 at this point.

New York Giants general manager Jerry Reese said the team's offense has been cautious up to this point and wants that unit to be more aggressive. "I just think, as an offense, we have to be more aggressive," Reese said. "At times, we're a little bit almost too cautions with what we're doing offensively. This is the National Football League. You've got to go out there and you've got to win the game. You can't expect something to fall into your lap. You've got to take the game. And I think we've got to be more aggressive offensively."
Fantasy Tip: Eli Manning could be asked to do some more throwing if the team takes the Reese's suggestion. Owners will need to see how the offense performs in the next game or two before adding fantasy value to Manning and the team's receivers.

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring) tweaked a hamstring in practice Tuesday, July 23, according to general manager Jerry Reese.
Fantasy Tip: This is not the first time Beckham Jr. has dealt with the hamstring, and it is something that could linger all year. It is probably best to avoid him in single-year leagues.
