Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw (rest) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 24.

Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw and WR Reggie Wayne were full participants in practice Thursday, Sept. 18. Bradshaw and Wayne both received rest days Wednesday, Sept. 17.

Colts | Ahmad Bradshaw, Reggie Wayne resting

Wed, 17 Sep 2014 13:08:31 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw (rest) and WR Reggie Wayne (rest) both received days of rest and did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 17.

Fantasy Tip: Both players will play in Week 3 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars defense hasn't been able to stop anyone, and they should continue to have trouble with the Colts. Bradshaw ($5,300) and Wayne ($6,200) are both strong plays at FantasyScore.

Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw (rest) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 12.

Fantasy Tip: Bradshaw should be able to play Week 2 after getting a day off. He costs $5,300 at FantasyScore, which appears to be fair value for him. Owners could consider using Bradshaw because of his play in the running and passing game.

Colts | Indy RBs to split the load

Fri, 12 Sep 2014 06:06:49 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RBs Trent Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw are expected to split carries in Week 2. Richardson rushed only six times for 20 yards in Week 1 because the team fell behind early. However, in his limited work, he showed improved vision and decisiveness.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson ($4,200; 8.4% of your cap) is a decent flex option on FantasyScore. Bradshaw ($5,300; 10.6%) may be a little pricey given his injury history and timeshare at the position.

Colts | Ahmad Bradshaw resting

Thu, 11 Sep 2014 15:14:08 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw (rest) was limited in practice Thursday, Sept. 11.

Fantasy Tip: Bradshaw has been injury-prone in his career, so be expected to see him sitting out practices frequently this year. He rushed just three times for 15 yards in Week 1 against the Denver Broncos, but he contributed five catches for 70 yards, too. With Trent Richardson looking wildly mediocre again, Bradshaw could be money at FantasyScore for $5,300 (10.6% of cap) in a setup that rewards receptions. Monday night figures to be a shootout against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) said Tuesday, Aug. 12, that he expects to play in the team's regular season opener against the Denver Broncos. He isn't sure if he will get the green light to make his preseason debut Saturday, Aug. 16, against the New York Giants.

Colts | Taking it easy with Ahmad Bradshaw

Sat, 09 Aug 2014 18:35:17 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) was wearing a red no-contact jersey during practice Saturday, Aug. 9.

Fantasy Tip: If Trent Richardson fails to take carry the load in the backfield, Bradshaw could end up serving as the team's lead back. As it stands, he is worth snatching up later in drafts as a possible upside pick.

Colts | Ahmad Bradshaw looking good

Tue, 29 Jul 2014 10:13:03 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw has been consistent so far in camp, and he's not showing any limitations with his neck, which caused him to miss the final 13 games of last season. "He looks fantastic," head coach Chuck Pagano said. "He has found the groove to make it. We know how tough Ahmad is. We know how he's wired, so I'm not going to be pulling back on the reins. He's one of those guys we have to protect them from themselves. It will take care of itself. He's not one of those guys that will think about what he went through."

Fantasy Tip: Bradshaw is an interesting fantasy option. He's extremely risky because of his health, but if he enters the season fully healthy and Trent Richardson continues to be bothered by injuries or poor performance, Bradshaw could easily usurp him as the top back for the Colts. Bradshaw's stock is slowly rising right now.

Colts | Vick Ballard tears Achilles'

Fri, 25 Jul 2014 16:08:49 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Vick Ballard (Achilles') suffered a torn Achilles' tendon during practice Friday, July 25.

Fantasy Tip: Ballard likely will miss the entire season because of the injury. Trent Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw probably will get a majority of the reps at the position unless the team adds another back. Richardson should be considered a starting running back in all fantasy leagues, while Bradshaw probably would be a later-round pick that could be a No. 4 or 5 running back on a team.

Colts | Ahmad Bradshaw cleared

Thu, 24 Jul 2014 05:29:06 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) has been cleared to practice.

Fantasy Tip: Bradshaw is an RB4, but he could be worth more if Trent Richardson fails to produce again.

Colts | Trent Richardson will need to produce

Sat, 12 Jul 2014 09:15:31 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Trent Richardson will need to produce right away in the running game if he wants to keep the starting job, because the team will not wait for him to turn things around if RB Ahmad Bradshaw or Vick Ballard are playing well.

Fantasy Tip: Richardson is getting the first chance to start, but he could find himself on the bench if he fails to produce. Richardson should be considered a low-end No. 2 running back in drafts this season. Owners could consider taking a late-round flier on Bradshaw or Ballard since there is a chance they could take over the starting job if Richardson falters, but it is not known which back would have more value at this point.

Colts | Trent Richardson will get first chance to start

Mon, 30 Jun 2014 13:20:08 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Trent Richardson will be given the first shot at starting running back. He is more talented than RBs Ahmad Bradshaw and Vick Ballard, and the Colts don't want to show that their trade for him last September was a failure.

Fantasy Tip: Due to Richardson's poor 2013 season, he stands to reward nicely as an RB2. Bradshaw and Ballard are late-round fliers.

Colts | Trent Richardson, Ahmad Bradshaw competing for RB job

Mon, 16 Jun 2014 12:22:26 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RBs Trent Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw wore red non-contact jerseys during organized team activities as they compete for the team's starting running back role. That battle is expected to intensify during training camp, but both will see playing time, no matter who is the official starter. Head coach Chuck Pagano has stated he wants a workhorse running back, however.

Fantasy Tip: Our money would be on Richardson to be that workhorse for the Colts. Bradshaw and Vick Ballard are coming off injuries and Richardson needs this season to prove he wasn't a trade bust. If the Colts continue to use Richardson in the passing game the way they did later on in the 2013 season, he should be a safe PPR RB3 with RB2 potential. It's best to use more caution with Bradshaw, who is currently listed as the team's No. 3 running back.

Colts | Ahmad Bradshaw re-signs

Tue, 11 Mar 2014 15:07:39 -0700

The Indianapolis Colts have re-signed unrestricted free-agent RB Ahmad Bradshaw (Colts) to a one-year deal. The financial terms have not been disclosed.

Fantasy Tip: Bradshaw has marginal fantasy football value, largely because of his extensive injury history. Monitor his expected involvement going forward, but consider him no better than a flier on draft day.

Colts | Ahmad Bradshaw not expected to return

Tue, 04 Feb 2014 17:11:11 -0800

Colts | Coach says Trent Richardson part of future

Mon, 13 Jan 2014 13:01:59 -0800

Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano said RB Trent Richardson is still a part of the team's future even though he struggled this season. "He wants to be great. He's got all the talent, he's got all the ability. We would never have done what we did if we didn't believe that. We look for him to have a great offseason and have a great 2014 campaign."

Fantasy Tip: Richardson's fantasy value for next season is uncertain because it is not known what the team will do at the position during the offseason. It is not known if the team will re-sign Donald Brown or if Ahmad Bradshaw will be able to return from his neck injury.

Colts | Ahmad Bradshaw waiting to decide on surgery

Fri, 04 Oct 2013 11:54:00 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) will take some time to decide whether to undergo surgery on his neck. "Ahmad has obviously seen several specialist, collected a lot of information," head coach Chuck Pagano said. "He's going to take the next couple of weeks to kind of sit back and decide where he's going to go with this thing. I don't know ultimately where that is. But in the end, it'll be up to Ahmad and the doctors to come to a final decision on what's going to transpire there. He'll be out at least a couple more weeks." RB Trent Richardson will continue as the starting running back, with RBs Donald Brown and Robert Hughes backing him up.

Fantasy Tip: It doesn't look good for Bradshaw's chances of returning anytime soon, let alone this season. Dropping him for more valuable options at this time is probably the right course of action. Brown is worth stashing in deeper leagues as insurance for T-Rich.

Colts | Ahmad Bradshaw injury update

Thu, 03 Oct 2013 09:19:45 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) is still searching for answers to his neck issue. Bradshaw has visited Dr. Robert Watkins.

Fantasy Tip: The idea that Bradshaw is still looking for answers to his neck issue is not ideal. As long as Bradshaw continues to have issues with the neck, he will have no fantasy value.

Updating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) will not play in the team's Week 4 game. Bradshaw suffered a neck injury in Week 3, and doctors are trying to figure out what is wrong.

Fantasy Tip: Obviously this means an increased workload for Trent Richardson, who you need to get into your lineup in all fantasy football formats.

Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) was not seen during the media's portion of practice Friday, Sept. 27.

Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 26.

Fantasy Tip: Bradshaw injured his neck in the team's Week 3 victory. It's unclear what the exact seriousness of the ailment is, but it's not a good sign that he has yet to practice this week. Keep tabs on his status tomorrow. If he doesn't play, Trent Richardson, who is already a must-start, will see his value go up.

Mon, 23 Sep 2013 11:51:57 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw said he expects to create a productive tandem with RB Trent Richardson this season. "Me and Trent are going to be a two-headed monster. They made a business decision and it was a great decision. Trent is an excellent player and it's going to work out for both of us, two great running backs," Bradshaw said.

Colts | Ahmad Bradshaw with good game

Mon, 23 Sep 2013 08:27:07 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw had 19 rushes for 95 yards and a touchdown in Week 3. RB Trent Richardson had 13 carries for 35 yards and a score.

Fantasy Tip: Bradshaw isn't going out without a struggle. The team can afford to slowly work T-Rich in the offense, which gives Bradshaw a little time to establish himself enough to work a 50-50 split.

Colts | Trent Richardson to get a lot of work Sunday

Thu, 19 Sep 2013 09:32:30 -0700

Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano said RB Trent Richardson will get as much as he can handle in the team's Week 3 game. "We did not bring him in here to be the water boy on Sunday," he said. "He'll be ready to roll."

Fantasy Tip: It'll be tough to sit Richardson in this scenario, but if there ever was one, this is the week to bypass him, depending on what your other options are. The Colts are going up against a stout San Francisco 49ers run defense, and Richardson won't have much time to prepare in a new offense. Expect Ahmad Bradshaw to maintain short-term point-per-reception value until T-Rich is up to speed.

Colts | Trent Richardson acquired

Wed, 18 Sep 2013 15:15:45 -0700

The Indianapolis Colts acquired RB Trent Richardson from the Cleveland Browns Wednesday, Sept. 18, in exchange for their first-round pick next year.

Fantasy Tip: T-Rich's value should increase with this move to a much more efficient offense under a more productive and talented quarterback. Ahmad Bradshaw owners won't be happy with this move, and although he'll likely still see some touches, he'll primarily just be a handcuff for Richardson owners now. Colts | Vick Ballard update

Fri, 13 Sep 2013 10:07:36 -0700

Updating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts RB Vick Ballard (knee) will miss the rest of the season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in practice Thursday, Sept. 12. He will undergo season-ending surgery and has already been put on Injured Reserve. Ballard was injured in a non-contact drill Thursday. RB Ahmad Bradshaw will now take the lead running back duties, with RB Donald Brown sharing touches.

Colts | Vick Ballard done for the year

Fri, 13 Sep 2013 09:28:50 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Vick Ballard (knee) will miss the remainder of the season after injuring his knee in practice Thursday, Sept. 12.

Fantasy Tip: This quickens the pace at which Ahmad Bradshaw will get back to a starter's workload. He hasn't looked 100 percent yet, but he's their most capable every-down back. He's a low-end RB2 in most leagues. Unfortunately, Donald Brown will probably steal reps for his occasional big-play ability. He's nothing more than a desperation flex play, however. Also, Indy will probably ink a third carrier that can at least spell these two, perhaps in goal-line spots.

Colts | Vick Ballard sees most work

Sun, 08 Sep 2013 13:37:28 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Vick Ballard had 13 carries for 63 yards in Week 1, while RB Ahmad Bradshaw rushed seven times for 26 yards.

Fantasy Tip: This is still a very fluid situation, but Bradshaw should have the most long-term value.

Fri, 06 Sep 2013 12:47:19 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 6, and is listed as probable for Week 1.

Fantasy Tip: Bradshaw has been dealing with this foot injury for a while but has been able to play with it. He should be considered a No. 2 fantasy running back this week but likely will give up some playing time to Vick Ballard and Donald Brown during the game.
