Chicago White Sox RP Nate Jones (glute) has thrown two recent bullpen sessions, testing his moderately strained left glute. He said Monday, Feb. 24, that he feels on track to soon pitch in an actual game. "I'm getting good. I'm feeling better every day," Jones said. "The first one was probably 50, 60 percent, just getting over my front leg. Then the next one we bumped it up a little bit, probably I would guess 75, 80 percent. All went well."
Fantasy Tip: Jones is in the mix for the closer's job in Chicago, and his fantasy appeal will vary greatly depending upon if he wins the job or works in a setup role. This is a situation to monitor closely, as there are plenty of saves to be had on the south side of Chicago.

Chicago White Sox RP Nate Jones (glute) plans to return to an exercise and strengthening program Wednesday, Feb. 19, after being shut down completely at the start of camp due to a moderate strain of his left glute. Manager Robin Ventura said there is no definitive timetable for Jones to return to the mound.
Fantasy Tip: Jones is a hard thrower who is a closer candidate for the team, and the brief absence isn't expected to hinder his chances at winning the job. If he can win the closer's job, he would be a tremendous fantasy option in most formats. If he has to settle for a setup role, he could still be a nice source of ERA, WHIP and strikeouts in AL-only rotisserie formats
