Cleveland Indians SP Corey Kluber (flu) is the latest player on the team to come down with the flu bug in spring training. He's scheduled to make his Cactus League debut against the Los Angeles Dodgers Saturday, March 7, but the team will monitor how he's feeling the next few days. The Indians can adjust things if he continues to be ill.
Fantasy Tip: A little flu bug won't get in the way of Kluber's fantasy ace status for the 2015 season. After being a surprise winner of the AL Cy Young in 2014, Kluber has shown us that he has the skills to continue putting up dominant seasons in the Indians' rotation. He'll come off the board early, but he's worth the investment.

Cleveland Indians SP Corey Kluber doesn't want to focus on lack of movement in a contract extension. "It's not for me to worry about," Kluber said. "My job is to go out there and pitch. I'd rather just talk about pitching and not contract stuff."
Fantasy Tip: Considering Kluber will make over $500,000 having just won the Cy Young Award, he is a bargain. He likely won't be a bargain in most fantasy leagues this year. His price and draft status are headed way up on draft day. He should be one of your anchor pitchers in AL and mixed leagues.

Cleveland Indians SP Corey Kluber will watch his workload this offseason to ensure that his marvelous 2014 season doesn't go to waste in 2015. Pitching coach Mickey Callaway has met with Kluber to discuss a way to balance the team's plans for him and his comfort level in the offseason. "What we're trying to accomplish," Callaway said, "is keeping this from one day all catching up to him." One idea is to have Kluber throw more simulated games early in the preseason, and the other idea is to have him throw fewer bullpens before he arrives to spring training.
