Brewers | Corey Knebel off DL

Thu, 09 Jun 2016 09:05:37 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers RP Corey Knebel (oblique) was activated from the 15-day disabled list Thursday, June 9. RP Neil Ramirez was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Fantasy Tip: With Jeremy Jeffress doing a fine job as the teams' closer this year and with Will Smith back and healthy, Knebel is probably a long shot for save opportunities barring an injury ahead of him. But he entered the season as a candidate for a high-leverage job at the back end of the bullpen before his injury and could be useful in the deepest of leagues to stabilize your pitching ratios.

Cubs | Tsuyoshi Wada to DL

Mon, 29 Jun 2015 00:28:09 -0700

Chicago Cubs SP Tsuyoshi Wada (deltoid muscle) was placed on the 15-day disabled list Sunday, June 28. RP Neil Ramirez (shoulder) was activated in a corresponding move.

Fantasy Tip: Wada ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) had inflammation but apparently no structural damage, so he should be back shortly. In the meantime, disable Wada from your roster and seek help elsewhere for a replacement.

Chicago Cubs RP Neil Ramirez (triceps) expects to return to the team once his 15-day disabled list stint is over. He is expected to continue his rehab in Mesa, Ariz., at the Cubs' facility rather than travel with the team on their upcoming six-game road trip to Los Angeles and Denver.

Fantasy Tip: Ramirez has pitched well this season. He should be back before Pedro Strop gains any traction in leapfrogging him on the depth chart.
