White Sox | Jose Abreu batting second

Sat, 27 Jun 2015 10:07:13 -0700

Chicago White Sox 1B Jose Abreu is batting second against Detroit Tigers SP Kyle Ryan Saturday, June 27. It marks the first time in Abreu's major league career that he is hitting in the No. 2 spot. OF Avisail Garcia will bat in the No. 3 spot, followed by DH Adam LaRoche, OF Melky Cabrera and SS Alexei Ramirez.

Fantasy Tip: The White Sox have scored 19 runs in their last four games, so it's uncertain what brought upon this lineup shakeup. Abreu ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) is 2-for-5 in his career against Ryan and is batting .323 over the last week.

White Sox | Alexei Ramirez in two-hole

Fri, 26 Jun 2015 14:11:41 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Alexei Ramirez is hitting second against Detroit Tigers SP Anibal Sanchez Friday, June 26.

Fantasy Tip: Ramirez ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) is hitting only .222 (59-for-266) with two home runs and 26 RBI on the season, and has been even worse in June (.212-0-5). Perhaps a move up in the order can spark him, but you shouldn't be willing to find out with him in your FantasyScore lineup against an improving Sanchez.

White Sox | Alexei Ramirez grabs some pine

Thu, 25 Jun 2015 08:00:23 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Alexei Ramirez is out of the lineup Thursday, June 25, in favor of 2B Gordon Beckham.

Fantasy Tip: Beckham ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) is next up in the revolving door that is the two-hole. His .227-4-16 line doesn't give much reason to use him on FantasyScore.

White Sox | Alexei Ramirez won't get rest

Tue, 23 Jun 2015 22:55:25 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Alexei Ramirez has hit just .170 over his past 14 games, but manager Robin Ventura said he does not see any fatigue. "There are times when you do give him that day, and I don't think this is that time," Ventura said Tuesday, June 23.

Fantasy Tip: Ventura might be sticking with Ramirez ($3,400; or 6.8% of cap), but FantasyScore players should avoid him until he starts to show more consistency.

White Sox | Alexei Ramirez dropped in order

Wed, 17 Jun 2015 14:57:03 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Alexei Ramirez is batting sixth against Pittsburgh Pirates SP Jeff Locke Wednesday, June 17.

Fantasy Tip: Ramirez ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) is off to the worst start of his career, and he currently boasts an underwhelming .234/.254/.312 slash line with 19 runs, two home runs, 24 RBI and 8 stolen bases. FantasyScore players should aim higher.

White Sox | Alexei Ramirez out vs. Astros

Wed, 10 Jun 2015 15:30:06 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Alexei Ramirez is not in the starting lineup Wednesday, June 10. 2B Gordon Beckham is playing shortstop and batting ninth against Houston Astros SP Vincent Velasquez Wednesday.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Ramirez ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) in all fantasy formats Wednesday. Beckham ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) has been wildly inconsistent this season and is currently riding a 0-for-13 run. Perhaps he can snap his funk against Velsquez, who is making his major league debut. FantasyScore players shouldn't count on it, though.

White Sox | Melky Cabrera batting sixth

Tue, 09 Jun 2015 15:57:32 -0700

Chicago White Sox OF Melky Cabrera has been dropped to sixth in the batting order Tuesday, June 9, against the Houston Astros. SS Alexei Ramirez will move into the two-spot against LHP Dallas Keuchel.

Fantasy Tip: Ramirez ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) is hitting .265 against lefties this season, and his speed can be a major asset at the top of the lineup. FantasyScore owners can consider Ramirez for their GPP lineups.

White Sox | Alexei Ramirez lands in two-hole

Fri, 05 Jun 2015 15:22:00 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Alexei Ramirez is hitting second in the batting order against Detroit Tigers SP Kyle Ryan Friday, June 5.

Fantasy Tip: Ramirez ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) has mostly hit in the bottom half of the order this year, and he hasn't done much (.226/.244/.313) with two home runs, 21 RBI and seven stolen bases. However, he gains daily value in the two-hole, and he might even run more. There's still not a whole lot of incentive to use him on FantasyScore tonight, though, since he's hitting .214 (6-for-28) against left-handers this year.

White Sox | Alexei Ramirez moved up the order

Thu, 30 Apr 2015 13:41:11 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Alexei Ramirez is batting second against the Minnesota Twins Thursday, April 30.

Fantasy Tip: Ramirez's ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) value receives a significant boost batting in the two-hole. He hasn't attempted a stolen base yet this season, although, he has only been on base 16 times through his first 68 plate appearances (.235 OBP). Highly consider Ramirez for your FantasyScore lineups Thursday, as opposing pitcher Trevor May presents a potential slump-busting matchup.

White Sox | Alexei Ramirez sitting vs. Orange Birds

Mon, 27 Apr 2015 12:48:02 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Alexei Ramirez is not in the starting lineup against the Baltimore Orioles Monday, April 27. 2B Gordon Beckham is starting at shortstop and batting seventh Monday.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Ramirez ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) in all fantasy formats Monday. This will be his first day off of the season. Beckham ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) is nothing more than a low-priced flier for FantasyScore players Monday, although he has handled the stick well when given an opportunity this season with a .333/.478/.556 slash line through 23 plate appearances.
