Jets | Matt Forte healthy, ready to go

Sat, 04 Jun 2016 17:08:05 -0700

New York Jets RB Matt Forte said he feels physically fresh and ready to go for the 2016 season, and he said one of the reasons he chose to sign with the Jets was because he believes the team's training room will help keep him healthy.

Fantasy Tip: Forte's age could cause him to slip in drafts, but he could creep into RB2 territory one last time, especially in PPR formats.

Jets | Matt Forte could play in slot

Sun, 29 May 2016 10:42:52 -0700

New York Jets RB Matt Forte could line up as a wide receiver in 2016. Offensive coordinator Chan Gailey said the Jets need to adjust their system to make fit Forte, including lining him up wide or in the slot at times.

Fantasy Tip: Forte is still one of the best pass-catching running backs in the NFL. And while he may lose some receiving duties to fellow RB Bilal Powell, he's still comfortably in RB2 territory with added value in PPR formats.

Jets | Matt Forte not ready to slow down

Sun, 15 May 2016 20:44:36 -0700

New York Jets RB Matt Forte said he wants break the older running back stereotype, and his goal is to rush for 1,000 yards and catch as many passes as the offense allows.

Fantasy Tip: Forte is no longer the RB1 option he was with Chicago, but he is a RB2 candidate in PPR formats and a RB3 option in standard formats.

Jets | Matt Forte could have significant role

Mon, 14 Mar 2016 09:40:31 -0700

New York Jets RB Matt Forte said he hasn't talked about specifics of his role on the team this year, but he expects to have a substantial role in the offense. "They see me as an every-down back," Forte said in his first interview since signing a three-year, $12 million contract.

Fantasy Tip: Matters were complicated when the Jets signed both Bilal Powell and Khiry Robinson, so it could be a three-headed monster in New York with Forte leading the way. Despite the tread on Forte's tires, he could have upside as an RB2 in PPR leagues in this offense if Ryan Fitzpatrick returns. But it's safer to value him as an RB3 with Powell and Robinson in the picture.

Thu, 10 Mar 2016 08:02:00 -0800

New York Jets RB Matt Forte received a three-year, $12 million deal with $8 million guaranteed and $4 million in escalators.

Fantasy Tip: We need to know if or who Forte will share the work with in New York, but he figures to be an RB2 in PPR leagues.

Jets | Matt Forte heading to the Jets

Wed, 09 Mar 2016 12:08:38 -0800

Free-agent RB Matt Forte (Bears) is signing with the New York Jets Wednesday, March 9, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: The Jets lost Chris Ivory and could see Bilal Powell depart, too, which puts Forte in a position for a heavy workload in New York. However, Forte has plenty of wear on his tires and could be spelled often. If Ryan Fitzpatrick comes back, though, this could be a positive environment for Forte, and he could be an RB2 in PPR formats.

NFL | Two more teams like Matt Forte

Wed, 09 Mar 2016 10:11:30 -0800

The New York Jets and Miami Dolphins are also considering free-agent RB Matt Forte (Bears). Forte's market will begin to heat up once the other running backs on the market sign.

Fantasy Tip: This makes sense, since the Jets are losing Chris Ivory and the Dolphins Lamar Miller in free agency. Forte could be a nice fit with either club, and despite his advanced age and heavy mileage, could be a nice RB3 in point-per-reception formats.

Packers | Green Bay interested in Matt Forte

Tue, 08 Mar 2016 10:36:00 -0800

The Green Bay Packers are showing interest in free-agent RB Matt Forte (Bears), according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Forte has a wide range of possibilities for landing spots in free agency, but Green Bay might be one of the more intriguing. It's uncertain how his role would shake out with Eddie Lacy in the mix, but Forte would likely have a role as a pass-catching back in at least third-down situations. That could make him an RB3 in PPR leagues.

Packers | Matt Forte being recruited to Packers

Mon, 07 Mar 2016 06:23:55 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte is being recruited to the Green Bay Packers by LB Julius Peppers.

Fantasy Tip: Forte will be an RB3 at worst when he finds his new team. He could thrive in Green Bay's passing game.

Patriots | New England fixed on upgrading backfield

Sun, 28 Feb 2016 13:21:31 -0800

Impending free-agent RBs Chris Ivory (Jets), Matt Forte (Bears), Alfred Morris (Redskins) and Joique Bell (Lions) are among the veterans on the radar of the New England Patriots, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: The Patriots would do well to upgrade from LeGarrette Blount and each of the aforementioned names - outside of Bell - would provide that. Ivory is perhaps the most intriguing option in that he is an early-down thumper that would be a great complement to dynamic passing-down back Dion Lewis. If Ivory joins New England, he could be a solid RB2 option in most leagues.

Ravens | Baltimore unlikely to pursue Matt Forte

Mon, 15 Feb 2016 15:17:13 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte probably will not be an option for the Baltimore Ravens this offseason because he does not have a great relationship with offensive coordinator Marc Trestman.

Fantasy Tip: The Ravens likely will go with Justin Forsett as their main running back next season if he is able to recover from his injury. Forsett probably will be a middle-round option in most leagues. Forte should find a job this season but may not be a starter like he was in Chicago. Forte's value will be determined by his new team.

Colts | Indy may not pursue Matt Forte

Sun, 14 Feb 2016 11:18:31 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte is not expected to be a serious consideration for the Indianapolis Colts this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: The Colts already have an older running back in Frank Gore, it's highly unlikely that they would pair an older running back with another older running back, even though Forte may offer more in the passing game. It would benefit the Colts more to draft and/or sign a younger running back that could even possibly take over for Gore when he's done.

Panthers | Carolina not expected to add Matt Forte

Sun, 14 Feb 2016 10:41:15 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte likely will not be an option for the Carolina Panthers this offseason unless the team decides to release RB Jonathan Stewart.

Fantasy Tip: Stewart played well when he was healthy this past season and probably will return to the team, which means Forte will sign with another team. Stewart could be considered a No. 2 running back in some leagues next season, while Forte's value will depend on his new team.

Bears | Jeremy Langford not an every-down back?

Sat, 13 Feb 2016 17:50:17 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford is a more physical runner than impending free-agent RB Matt Forte, according to the team's former scouting director Greg Gabriel, but Gabriel said Langford will likely never be the receiver that Forte is.

Fantasy Tip: As long as the Bears don't add another quality back during the offseason, Langford should enter 2016 as the starting back, and he projects as a serviceable RB2.

Bears | No big offers for Matt Forte?

Fri, 12 Feb 2016 18:52:58 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte will be lucky to command more than $4 million per year, according to league sources.

Fantasy Tip: Forte has been one of the most versatile backs in the league throughout his career, but his status as a reliable RB1 could change depending on where he lands in free agency.

Browns | Matt Forte unlikely to join Browns

Fri, 12 Feb 2016 16:39:36 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte will not be an option for the Cleveland Browns during free agency, in the opinion on ESPNCleveland.com's Tony Grossi.

Fantasy Tip: The Browns have a few running back options already next season, and Duke Johnson likely will have a bigger role in the offense in 2016. He could be a middle-round option in some deeper leagues. Forte likely will be able to find a job as a change-of-pace back during the offseason and could be selected in the middle rounds of drafts.

Saints | Matt Forte a long shot for Saints

Fri, 12 Feb 2016 12:35:24 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte probably will not be pursued by the New Orleans Saints this offseason unless he is willing to accept a hometown discount.

Fantasy Tip: Mark Ingram likely will enter next season as the starter, but Forte could be the backup running back if he decides to play closer to his home town. Forte would be a fine option in point-per-reception leagues because of the Saints' offense, but there is a good chance he signs elsewhere.

Jaguars | Jacksonville may look at Matt Forte

Fri, 12 Feb 2016 12:28:49 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte could receive some interest from the Jacksonville Jaguars if he is willing to accept a shared role at running back. The team has plenty of money to spend this offseason but may not be willing to pay Forte a high salary if he will only be a part-time player.

Fantasy Tip: The Jaguars likely will use T.J. Yeldon as their main running back this season, which would make Forte more of a change-of-pace back if he signs with the team. Forte would still be a decent option in point-per-reception league because of his receiving ability but would be more of a middle-round pick in standard leagues.

Jets | Matt Forte could be an option for Jets

Fri, 12 Feb 2016 12:22:35 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte could receive interest from the New York Jets as a third-down back but probably would not have a chance to start.

Fantasy Tip: The running back position for the Jets is uncertain at this point since their top three backs are free agents. The team would like to re-sign Chris Ivory and have him as their starting running back, so Forte probably would be used more as a receiver if he signs with New York. Forte could be a middle-round option in fantasy leagues if he finds himself in this situation.

Redskins | Washington may pursue Matt Forte

Fri, 12 Feb 2016 12:15:19 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte could be pursued by the Washington Redskins this offseason since he can be a threat as a runner and a receiver, but his age and asking price could be sticking points for the team.

Fantasy Tip: Forte probably would have the chance to receive solid playing time if he decides to join the Redskins. Forte could be a No. 2 running back in fantasy leagues if he joins the team and receives a majority of the work at the position.

Seahawks | Seattle unlikely to pursue Matt Forte

Fri, 12 Feb 2016 12:10:41 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte likely will not be an option for the Seattle Seahawks this offseason because of their salary cap situation and needs at other positions.

Fantasy Tip: It seems like Thomas Rawls will be the next running back for the Seahawks, so Forte probably would receive some work as a backup running back or a receiver out of the backfield. Forte probably would be a middle-round option if he decided to join the Seahawks.

Cowboys | Matt Forte may be too old for Dallas

Fri, 12 Feb 2016 12:09:34 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte could receive interest from the Dallas Cowboys if the price is right, but they may want to look for a younger option at the position since Forte is 30 years old.

Fantasy Tip: Forte probably will receive interest from other teams but may have to play behind Darren McFadden if he signs with the Cowboys. He probably would be used more as a receiver if he joins Dallas and would be a middle-round option in most leagues.

Broncos | Denver a long shot for Matt Forte

Fri, 12 Feb 2016 11:50:15 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte fits the scheme for the Denver Broncos, but they're unlikely to be able to offer him as big of an offer that he could receive elsewhere.

Fantasy Tip: Forte will be a high-end RB2 and could be even higher if he lands in a spot to take the bulk of the workload.

Dolphins | Matt Forte could fit in Miami

Fri, 12 Feb 2016 11:48:07 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte could be an option for the Miami Dolphins, in the opinion of ESPN.com's James Walker. Forte was coached by Dolphins head coach Adam Gase when he was the offensive coordinator in Chicago, and Dolphins RB Lamar Miller is a free agent.

Fantasy Tip: Forte will be a high-end RB2 and could be even higher if he lands in a spot to take the bulk of the workload.

Patriots | Matt Forte could fit in New England

Fri, 12 Feb 2016 11:46:36 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte would be a system fit for the New England Patriots, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Field Yates.

Fantasy Tip: Forte will be a high-end RB2 and could be even higher if he lands in a spot to take the bulk of the workload.

Bears | Matt Forte has been a workhorse

Fri, 12 Feb 2016 09:13:59 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte has played 594 more snaps than any other running back in the NFL since he entered the league in 2008.

Fantasy Tip: Forte just turned 30 and has ran the ball 2,035 times in his eight-year career. He still has productivity left in him, but his next destination he's likely to share more backfield work. Forte excels catching the ball out of the backfield, so he's still more attractive in point-per-reception leagues, depending on where he lands.

Packers | Matt Forte a fit in Green Bay?

Fri, 12 Feb 2016 08:36:52 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte would be an ideal fit for the Green Bay Packers, in the opinion of the Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs. Packers RB James Starks will be a free agent, and RB Eddie Lacy had a down year in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Forte's fantasy value would probably be more fruitful elsewhere unless the Pack heavily reduced Lacy's workload. However, Forte is a high-end RB2 in PPR leagues at worst.

Bears | Matt Forte headed elsewhere

Fri, 12 Feb 2016 07:28:10 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte has been informed by the Bears that they will not attempt to re-sign him this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Even at 30 years old, Forte still has the ability to be a PPR RB1 in the right system. He averaged 4.1 yards per carry last season, which was up from the previous season. Unless Forte lands in a 50-50 committee, he's still worth consideration as a low-end RB1.

Jets | Matt Forte an unlikely option for Jets

Wed, 10 Feb 2016 15:40:57 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte probably won't be pursued by the New York Jets in free agency despite the Jets having three impending free-agent running backs of their own.

Fantasy Tip: It doesn't make sense for the Jets to attempt to sign Forte considering his age (30 years old) and how much action he's seen in his career already. The Jets may be more comfortable with retaining Bilal Powell and drafting and/or signing a lower caliber running back.

Patriots | Matt Forte of interest to Pats?

Sun, 07 Feb 2016 11:21:43 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte could be pursued by the New England Patriots this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: The Patriots may lose both LeGarrette Blount and Steven Jackson in free agency this year. New England loves pass-catching running backs, but they've already got a couple in Dion Lewis and James White. Of course, Forte is at another level than Lewis and White, so the Patriots could still be interested. Forte will probably be a RB1 wherever he is, but there aren't many better places for his fantasy value than New England.

Jets | Matt Forte an option for New York?

Tue, 02 Feb 2016 11:10:02 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte wouldn't be ruled out as an option for the New York Jets to sign if he becomes available, in the opinion of ESPNNewYork.com's Rich Cimini.

Fantasy Tip: Of course, as Cimini also said, there would be a lot of variables for the Jets to pursue and sign Forte, the first likely being that Chris Ivory isn't re-signed. As it stands, the Jets do have three impending free-agent running backs in Ivory, Bilal Powell and Stevan Ridley. Much needs to happen in order for Forte to land in New York, though.

Bears | No contract talks for Matt Forte

Thu, 28 Jan 2016 07:04:27 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent RB Matt Forte hasn't had any meaningful contract talks with the team as of a couple of weeks ago.

Fantasy Tip: Forte has shown signs of age at 30 years old, but he's still a valuable back in PPR leagues. If he can latch on with a team with at least a timeshare role, he'll be a low-end RB2 in fantasy at minimum.

Bears | Matt Forte totals 110 yards, TD

Sun, 03 Jan 2016 19:51:39 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte posted 17 rushes for 76 yards in the Week 17 game against the Detroit Lions, and he added three receptions for 34 yards a touchdown in what could have been his final season with the team.

Fantasy Tip: The Bears could still use Forte, pairing him with Jeremy Langford for an impressive one-two punch. However, Chicago would have to get Forte back at a nice price, and Forte might be able to get more money elsewhere. It will be an interesting situation to watch, as Langford could go from mid-round draft pick to early-round fantasy option if Forte does not return. Ka'Deem Carey's fantasy situation could improve dramatically if Forte goes elsewhere, too.

Bears | Matt Forte to face Detroit

Sun, 03 Jan 2016 09:13:23 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (back) is active for Week 17's game against the Detroit Lions.

Fantasy Tip: Forte ($5,600, 11.2% of cap), who is set to become a free agent after the season, could be playing his final game in a Bears uniform. He should play a key component in the passing game this week and is worthy of consideration as a midrange flex option in FantasyScore.

Bears | Matt Forte questionable for Week 17

Fri, 01 Jan 2016 12:37:15 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (back) was limited in practice Friday, Jan. 1, and is listed as questionable for the Week 17 game against the Detroit Lions.

Fantasy Tip: Forte ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) has competition in the backfield, which has the potential to limit his upside for a big showing. He is active enough in the passing game to provide a nice fantasy floor, though. View Forte as a viable option at FantasyScore for Week 17, especially at his mid-range cap hit.

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (back) was limited in practice Thursday, Dec. 31.

Fantasy Tip: Forte ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) is expected to play against the Detroit Lions and should have a big role in the passing game. He's a midrange flex option on FantasyScore.

Bears | Matt Forte limited in practice

Wed, 30 Dec 2015 15:18:51 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (back) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 30.

Fantasy Tip: Forte ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) has been pretty productive when he's been on the field this year in point-per-reception leagues like FantasyScore. He has double-digit carries in all but one of his starts and should see a healthy workload against the Detroit Lions in what could easily be his last game in a Bears uniform. He's an under-the-radar daily play that could pay off.

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (back) was limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 30.

Fantasy Tip: Forte ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) should be good to go against the Detroit Lions. He has some upside on FantasyScore with Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) out.

Bears | Matt Forte injures back

Sun, 27 Dec 2015 18:31:58 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (back) carried 11 times for 54 yards in the Week 16 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while added three receptions for 21 yards. He was sidelined for part of the second half due to a back injury. "I had a little nick," Forte said. "That happens to running backs, you get little nicks and stuff. I was trying to go back in and they told me at that point there was no need to go back in. But I'll be all right."

Fantasy Tip: Forte had a decent yardage total from scrimmage, but he had just 14 total touches to 19 for Jeremy Langford, while Ka'Deem Carey also had eight total touches. He could have returned, but might this signal the end is near for Forte in Chicago? Well, at the very least, it appears Langford is the better fantasy option heading into the regular season finale.

Bears | Matt Forte not expecting reunion

Thu, 24 Dec 2015 09:06:24 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte said he's pessimistic about his chances of re-signing with the Bears when his contract expires after this season. He's played eight seasons with Chicago after being a second-round draft pick in 2008. "I mean, I want to return," Forte said. "But if you're saying, am I hopeful that I do return? There is not much to hope for that right now because like I said, I talked to (the Bears' front office) earlier and they haven't said anything back. So there's nothing really to hope for." The Bears denied Forte's request to extend his contract last winter and reduce his cap hit. He has every intention of playing next year and currently leads the Bears with 768 rushing yards on 190 carries.

Fantasy Tip: Forte ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) remains actively involved in Chicago's passing game even with Jeremy Langford stealing some action here and there. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are about middle of the pack against running backs this season. Forte is a midrange fantasy running back in Week 16.

Bears | Matt Forte productive in Week 15

Sun, 20 Dec 2015 14:16:19 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte rushed for 47 yards on eight carries against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 15. He also caught six passes for 57 yards and one touchdown during the game.

Fantasy Tip: Forte has been a factor in the team's offense when he has been healthy this season and should continue to see solid playing time in the last two games. Forte could be a solid starting option for fantasy owners this week when he faces the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Bears | Matt Forte not done yet

Fri, 11 Dec 2015 09:32:05 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte, who turned 30 years old Thursday, Dec. 10, said he plans to play at least two more years. "I can probably play 12 or 13 years, or something like that," Forte said. "I think when I came out of college I said I'd like to play at least 10 years. Twelve years is a long time for a running back, even 10 years. I'll assess where I am after 10 years, but my goal is 10 or 12 years." Forte leads the NFL in all-purpose yards (12,374) since 2008, and he had 21 carries for 84 yards and a touchdown in Week 13 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Fantasy Tip: Forte ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) appears to be plenty healthy after his 21-carry workload last week, but the Bears will continue to sprinkle in exciting rookie Jeremy Langford in to keep Forte fresh down the stretch. That's the best Forte's owners could ask for, and he remains very valuable to owners, especially in PPR leagues like FantasyScore. The Washington Redskins are tough against running backs, though, so think twice about paying up for Forte this weekend.

Bears | Matt Forte has solid comeback

Sun, 06 Dec 2015 15:25:20 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte ran 21 times for 84 yards and scored a touchdown in his team's 26-20 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Dec. 6.

Fantasy Tip: Forte ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) looked like he would split carries with Jeremy Langford, but Forte ended up with most of the carries and looked pretty good in the loss. It's pretty safe to move forward with Forte at one of your RB positions.

Bears | Matt Forte not returning?

Sat, 05 Dec 2015 12:58:07 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte has not been offered a contract extension yet, and Forte said it doesn't really look like he'll be receiving one. Forte said he'll be satisfied whether he enters free agency or stays in Chicago.

Fantasy Tip: Forte is still the premiere running back for the Bears, but he is also still splitting time with Jeremy Langford. With Langford's emergence, the Bears may be comfortable with letting Forte go. This situation will need to be monitored this offseason, obviously, but Forte could have a new team next season.

Bears | Chicago RBs to split the reps

Fri, 04 Dec 2015 22:24:51 -0800

Chicago Bears RBs Matt Forte and Jeremy Langford are expected to split carries in the Week 13 game against the San Francisco 49ers. Offensive coordinator Adam Gase said Friday, Dec. 4, that he'd like to have a near-even split of the touches between the two. "We can keep them fresh and we should only get better from here on out and those guys will get in the flow of it," Gase said.

Fantasy Tip: Forte ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) and Langford ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) are each strong pass catchers out of the backfield, and if the split is indeed even then Langford would be the better FantasyScore value.

Bears | No deal offered to Matt Forte

Fri, 04 Dec 2015 17:27:52 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte said the Bears have not offered him a contract extension at this point and there is a good chance he becomes a free agent this offseason. Forte said he would prefer to stay with Chicago but is willing to sign with another team.

Fantasy Tip: Forte ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) should continue to see a majority of the touches at running back but will likely lose some to Jeremy Langford. Forte should still be a decent start option for most owners this season. Forte should be able to find a starting job if he becomes available this offseason and would be a solid option for owners in 2016.

Bears | Matt Forte will play in Week 12

Thu, 26 Nov 2015 15:52:16 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (knee) is officially active for the Week 12 game against the Green Bay Packers Thursday, Nov. 26.

Fantasy Tip: Forte ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) should receive solid playing time this week, but it is not known if he will see a majority of the snaps or if he will share carries with Jeremy Langford. Owners probably should consider other options because of his uncertain role on offense.

Bears | Matt Forte, Alshon Jeffery questionable

Wed, 25 Nov 2015 12:21:27 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (knee) and WR Alshon Jeffery (groin, shoulder) are both listed as questionable for Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers Thursday, Nov. 26.

Fantasy Tip: Forte ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) has missed the last three games. It's fair to wonder how much work he'll concede to impressive rookie Jeremy Langford. For that reason alone it's worth passing on Forte in daily formats. Jeffery ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) is a risk/reward pick on FantasyScore. The Bears could be forced to pass early and often, but in a cold contest at less than 100% he could be limited.

Bears | Matt Forte, Alshon Jeffery expected to play

Tue, 24 Nov 2015 14:29:15 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (knee) and WR Alshon Jeffery (groin) are both expected to suit up in Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers Thursday, Nov. 26. Both players said they were feeling fine after practice Tuesday, Nov. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Forte ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) has missed the last three games, and it's safe to say Jeremy Langford will cut into his workload at least somewhat because of how effective the rookie has been of late. That complicates Forte's daily value and limits return on investment at a lofty price. Jeffery ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) seems like a more worthwhile investment on FantasyScore in a game that should feature Chicago airing it out.

Bears | Three Bears limited Tuesday

Tue, 24 Nov 2015 12:28:59 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (groin), RB Matt Forte (knee) and TE Martellus Bennett (ribs) were limited in practice Tuesday, Nov. 24.

Fantasy Tip: All three players are question marks heading into Week 12. Jeffery ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) has been battling injuries off and on all year; he may be the biggest question mark. All three need to be monitored before setting FantasyScore lineups this week. Marquess Wilson ($3,200, 6.4%), Jeremy Langford ($7,300, 14.6%) and Zach Miller ($2,800, 5.6%) would be the primary beneficiaries if Jeffery, Forte and Bennett were to sit.
