Free-agent RB Ray Rice (Ravens) could be reinstated by the NFL by mid-November after a scheduled appeal hearing, which would allow him to sign with another team. There is no guarantee a team would sign him right away, though.

Fantasy Tip: Rice's situation is worth watching, but he probably isn't worth rostering except in deep leagues.

Free-agent RB Ray Rice (Ravens) will argue during his appeal hearing that the tape that was released of his domestic violence incident was edited, according to a source. Rice has been suspended indefinitely for the incident.

Fantasy Tip: Rice will not be allow to play this season unless he has his suspension lifted or reduced, but it is hard to see a team signing him at this point. Rice is not an option in any league at this point.

Former Baltimore Ravens RB Ray Rice and the NFL Players Association plan to appeal his indefinite suspension by filing a grievance as soon as Monday, Sept. 15, according to sources. Rice is also contemplating legal action with all options remaining on the table following his increased discipline from the league, and a source noted the potential "double-jeopardy" aspect of the former NFL player being punished twice for the same offense.

This report contradicts Goodell's claim that the league didn't know exactly what happened before video evidence was released earlier this week.
