Redskins | Washington to talk to own FAs at combine

Fri, 24 Feb 2017 12:28:12 -0800

The Washington Redskins have yet to engage in talks with any of their players with expiring contracts - a list that includes impending free agents WR Pierre Garcon, WR DeSean Jackson, TE Vernon Davis, DE Chris Baker. However, multiple sources report the Redskins expect to meet with the representatives of their impending free agents at the NFL Scouting Combine next week.

Fantasy Tip: It's a common practice for front office personnel and player reps to discuss contracts at the combine, although Washington is making an already very long week even longer by handling its business in this manner. Garcon and Jackson are each expected to command at least $9 million in their next contracts, so both players could be on different teams next season. It's a virtual certainty at least one will not come back.

Buccaneers | Jameis Winston likes DeSean Jackson to TB

Wed, 22 Feb 2017 15:58:09 -0800

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston said he would love if the Buccaneers signed Washington Redskins impending free-agent WR DeSean Jackson this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson should receive interest from multiple teams if he hits the free-agent market and would make a solid tandem in Tampa Bay with Mike Evans. Jackson will have a solid role in an offense in 2017 and can be at least a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Redskins | DeSean Jackson wants to play with great QB

Tue, 21 Feb 2017 19:07:07 -0800

Washington Redskins WR DeSean Jackson said that if he leaves the team in free agency, he wants to play with a "great quarterback." When asked about QB Kirk Cousins, he referred to him as "great" as well.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson has also been linked to the Eagles and Buccaneers, both led by young quarterbacks who have the potential to be great one day, but with Jackson entering the latter portion of his career, he might prefer to stick with a more established option like Cousins. Despite being 30 years old, Jackson proved this past season he still has more than enough left in the tank, and can still offer solid value depending on where he ends up in 2017.

Buccaneers | DeSean Jackson could draw Bucs' interest

Tue, 21 Feb 2017 08:48:24 -0800

Washington Redskins impending free-agent WR DeSean Jackson could receive interest from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to sources. Jackson has a rapport with QB Jameis Winston.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson would benefit from elite receiver Mike Evans anchoring one side. D-Jax just turned 30, and he is a better option in non-PPR formats. In such, he'd make a low-end WR3.

Redskins | DeSean Jackson to receive strong interest

Sun, 19 Feb 2017 12:33:32 -0800

Washington Redskins impending free-agent WR DeSean Jackson is expected to receive strong interest once free agency begins because he is still only of the fastest receivers in the NFL even though he is 30 years old.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson has posted at least 1,000 yards in three of the last four seasons and has recorded four touchdowns in each of the last two seasons. Jackson should be a starting receiver for whoever he plays for in 2017 and can be a No. 3 receiver for fantasy owners.

Eagles | DeSean Jackson headed back to Philly?

Sun, 12 Feb 2017 16:23:59 -0800

Washington Redskins impending free-agent WR DeSean Jackson's potential return to the Philadelphia Eagles is talked about as a "certainty" by several teams, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson can be a little too dependent on big plays at times, and regardless of where he plays in 2017, he should be viewed as a high-risk, high-reward WR3.

Redskins | DeSean Jackson open to returning

Fri, 10 Feb 2017 15:09:15 -0800

Washington Redskins impending free-agent WR DeSean Jackson said he would like to re-sign with the Redskins this offseason but will accept the best offer he receives in free agency.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson will receive interest from multiple teams once free agency begins, so the Redskins may not able to re-sign him. Jackson is coming off a terrific 2016 season and likely will be a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver for a team next season. Owners in fantasy leagues can consider Jackson a No. 3 receiver for their teams.

Redskins | DeSean Jackson too inconsistent

Thu, 09 Feb 2017 18:23:33 -0800

Washington Redskins impending free-agent WR DeSean Jackson is viewed as too inconsistent by the front office.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson was already expected to test the market, and it doesn't sound like Washington is interested in bringing him back. Jackson tends to live or die with big plays, and he will be a boom-or-bust WR3 wherever he lands in 2017.

Redskins | WAS has not talked with DeSean Jackson

Thu, 09 Feb 2017 09:24:19 -0800

Washington Redskins impending free-agent WR DeSean Jackson has not talked with the team about new contract at this point.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson is expected to test the free-agent market this offseason and may not be back with the Redskins in 2017. He should receive interest from several teams and can be a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues depending on his team.

Redskins | DeSean Jackson to test free agency

Tue, 07 Feb 2017 07:50:53 -0800

Washington Redskins impending free-agent WR DeSean Jackson intends to test the open market in free agency.

Fantasy Tip: D-Jax has been linked to the Philadelphia Eagles, but he is what he is at this point. He's a deep threat that is better served in non-PPR leagues. He'll be a WR3 option in fantasy.
