JTG Daugherty Racing driver Bobby Labonte's consecutive Sprint Cup start streak will come to an end at 704 races since he's not entered in the race at Kentucky Speedway Saturday, June 29. His streak is the second longest active streak behind Hendrick Motorsports driver Jeff Gordon's 705 straight starts. JTG Racing will use driver A.J. Allmendinger in the No. 47 car this weekend. Phoenix Racing will use driver Austin Dillon at Kentucky.

Phoenix Racing driver A.J. Allmendinger will compete for Penske Championship Racing in at least two IndyCar Series races this year, including the Indianapolis 500. He will drive the No. 2 car April 7 at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama and May 26 at the Indy 500.

Phoenix Racing driver A.J. Allmendinger is set to make his Sprint Cup debut at Phoenix International Raceway Sunday, March 3, in the No. 51 Guy Roofing Chevrolet. It will be his fifth race for the team.

Penske Championship Racing is giving driver A.J. Allmendinger a chance to test an IndyCar at Sebring International Raceway Feb. 18 and 19, and if the test is successful, he'll make his open-wheel debut at Barber Motorsports Park April 7. If sponsorship can be acquired, Allmendinger will be allowed to run at Long Beach to practice for the Indianapolis 500.

Phoenix Racing has extended an offer to driver A.J. Allmendinger for the chance to drive at Phoenix International Raceway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Auto Club Speedway and Martinsville Speedway in the 2013 Sprint Cup Series. Driver Regan Smith will start off the season in the No. 51 Guy Roofing Chevrolet at Daytona International Speedway. Allmendinger ran four races with the team last season.

Phoenix Racing plans to have driver Regan Smith driver in the Daytona 500 this year and they will have Smith and driver A.J. Allmendinger share duties in the Sprint Cup Series. Driver Kurt Busch is hoping to drive for the team in the Nationwide Series. Smith will drive at Daytona and possibly seven to 10 Cup races throughout the season. Allmendinger's first race is expected to be at Phoenix.

Phoenix Racing announced Tuesday, Oct. 23, that driver A.J. Allmendinger will drive again in the Sprint Cup race at Martinsville Speedway in the No. 51 car this weekend. Allmendinger has finished 24th and 35th, respectively, in the last two Cup events at Charlotte and Kansas. The decision to keep Allmendinger in the car remains a race-by-race decision, however. Driver Regan Smith, who is filling in for Hendrick Motorsports driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. (concussion), could return in two weeks at Texas.

Phoenix Racing announced Monday, Oct. 15, that driver A.J. Allmendinger will drive the No. 51 car again at Kansas Speedway in the Sprint Cup race this weekend. He finished 24th in the event at Charlotte Motor Speedway Saturday, Oct. 13.
