BK Racing announced Thursday, Jan. 17, that driver David Reutimann will race in the No. 83 Toyota full time in the Sprint Cup Series this year. Driver Landon Cassill has left the organization. Crew chief Pat Tryson, who worked with Reutimann at Michael Waltrip Racing, is expected to work as the crew chief. Driver Travis Kvapil will continue in the team's No. 93 car with crew chief Todd Anderson.

Xxxtreme Motorsports will attempt to make their Sprint Cup debut with the No. 44 Label Watches Ford this weekend at Phoenix International Raceway with driver David Reutimann at the helm. "We ran with Chase Austin and Josh Wise in the Nationwide Series, so it's not my first time," owner John Cohen said. "We just want to put on a good show for No Label Watches and then run the full season in 2013." Frank Kerr will serve as the general manager and crew chief.

Phoenix Racing driver Kurt Busch will return to the No. 51 car for the team in the Sprint Cup race at Michigan this weekend after serving his one-race suspension. Driver David Reutimann finished 21st at Pocono in last weekend's race while subbing for Busch.

BK Racing announced Wednesday, Feb. 15, that driver David Reutimann will drive the No. 93 Toyota in this year's Daytona 500. Todd Anderson will serve as the crew chief for the team. Driver Travis Kvapil will take over the No. 93 car at Phoenix for the March 4 Sprint Cup race.

Stewart-Haas Racing is working on an alliance with Tommy Baldwin Racing that would lock driver Danica Patrick into the Daytona 500 and keep her in the No. 10 car for a good chunk of the 2012 Sprint Cup schedule, according to sources. Patrick is only scheduled for 10 Cup races while racing full time in the Nationwide Series. Tommy Baldwin Racing driver David Reutimann would drive the No. 10 car in as many of the remaining 26 races as possible.

Tommy Baldwin Racing driver David Reutimann, who will race in 26 Sprint Cup events this year, also plans to drive in 13-15 Camping World Truck Series events for Ricky Benton Racing. Reutimann could run in more truck races if the team can secure more sponsorship.

Free-agent driver David Reutimann (Michael Waltrip Racing) will join Tommy Baldwin Racing for the 2012 Sprint Cup season. Reutimann will team up with driver Dave Blaney. Sponsorship for Reutimann's car will be announced at a later date.

Roush Fenway Racing officially released driver David Ragan Monday, Dec. 5, and he is now looking to replace driver Kurt Busch at Penske Championship Racing. PCR will consider Ragan "and others" for the No. 22 car next season. Michael Waltrip Racing driver David Reutimann and Red Bull Racing Brian Vickers are other drivers that could be considered. Driver Sam Hornish Jr. will not be under consideration.
