Front Row Motorsports announced Wednesday, Jan. 29, that driver Eric McClure will attempt to qualify for the team in NASCAR's opening race in the Daytona 500 in the No. 35 Ford Fusion. The car will be sponsored by Hefty/Reynolds Wrap. He has only three career Sprint Cup starts and has never raced in the Daytona 500.

SceneDaily.com reports Morgan-McClure Motorsports driver Eric McClure will race in the Sprint Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway Sunday, April 26, according to sources. The team will be entered in the No. 4 Chevrolet with sponsorship coming from Hefty brand.

Lee Montgomery, of SceneDaily.com, reports Rensi-Hamilton Racing driver Eric McClure has joined the team and will drive the No. 24 Ford with sponsorship from Hefty Brand in the 2009 Nationwide Series. He will drive a minimum of 33 races with the team with Chris Wright returning as the crew chief.

NASCAR.com reports Front Row Motorsports driver Eric McClure finished 30th position in qualifying for the Daytona 500 Sunday, Feb. 17.

Bob Pockrass, of SceneDaily.com, reports Front Row Motorsports drivers John Andretti and Eric McClure were added to the entry list for the Daytona 500 race at Daytona International Speedway scheduled for Feb. 17. There are now 54 cars registered for the "Great American Race". Andretti will drive the No. 34 car and McClure will drive the No. 37 car. McClure and driver Derrike Cope tested the cars at Daytona International Speedway earlier this year, while Andretti tested at California and Las Vegas Motor Speedways last week. Andretti and McClure are not one of the 35 drivers locked into the race and each will have to get in through qualifying Thursday, Feb. 14.
