Richard Childress Racing driver Paul Menard won the NASCAR Nationwide Series Ollie's Bargain Outlet 250 at Michigan International Speedway Saturday, June 14. Menard led 18 laps, and won the only series race he's entered this season. It was the second Nationwide Series win of his career.

Fantasy Tip: Perhaps Menard can carry the momentum over into Sunday's big boy race in the Irish Hills, although he is still a risky fantasy play. In 15 career Sprint Cup Series starts in Michigan, Menard has a poor Average Finish of 20.3 with no wins, just two Top 5s and seven Top 20s with one DNF.

Richard Childress Racing driver Paul Menard will be making his 16th career start at Talladega Superspeedway Sunday, May 4, at the Aarons 499. In his 15 career outings at Talladega, he has never won, finish in the Top 5 just two times and he has an Average Finish of 21.5, which is near the bottom for active Cup regulars.

Fantasy Tip: Menard can be a fantasy sleeper some weeks at some of the tracks which require more finesse. This weekend isn't one of them. Avoid.

Richard Childress Racing signed driver Paul Menard to an extension for the Sprint Cup Series past this season Friday, May 24. He is currently 11th in points. Terms of the multi-year deal were not disclosed.

The suspensions issued to Richard Childress Racing crew members for driver Paul Menard were upheld by a three-member NASCAR panel Tuesday, Sept. 11. Menard's crew used an illegal frame last month at the Sprint Cup race at Michigan International Speedway.

Richard Childress Racing will appeal the six-week suspensions for Craig Smokstad, the car chief for driver Paul Menard's No. 27 Sprint Cup ride, and crew member Grant Hutchens. They will not appeal the $100,000 fine and six-week suspension of crew chief Slugger Labbe, though, and they will also not appeal the loss of 25 championship driver and 25 championship owner points.

Richard Childress Racing crew chief Slugger Labbe, the crew chief for driver Paul Menard, was fined $100,000 for illegal modifications on the car during the Sprint Cup race at Michigan International Speedway last weekend. Labbe was also suspended until Oct. 3. Menard and owner Richard Childress were each docked 25 points. Car chief Craig Smokstad and crew member Grant Hutchens were also suspended.

Richard Childress Racing driver Paul Menard (foot) received 20 stitches for a gash in his foot after he cut his foot on the dock at his house Thursday, May 26. Menard is also on crutches. Driver Elliott Sadler is on standby in case Menard needs a backup driver for the Sprint Cup Coca-Cola 600 this weekend.
