Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon's production slipped last year largely because of instability at the quarterback position, according to head coach Jay Gruden, and Gruden said that he plans to have Garcon's numbers go "back up" in 2015.
Fantasy Tip: While the idea is nice in theory, there is no guarantee that there will be stability under center in Washington this season either, and the presence of DeSean Jackson makes it very unlikely that Garcon will ever duplicate his 113-catch season from 2013. Draft him as a WR3.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon would save the team a lot of money if he were to be cut, but head coach Jay Gruden said Garcon is still in the team's plans.
Fantasy Tip: Garcon disappeared for large stretches last year and was a thorough disappointment for those that drafted him. He had only 68 catches for 752 yards and three touchdowns, and Robert Griffin's injuries and poor play had a big hand in Garcon's struggles. With RG3 returning as the starter in 2015, hopefully Garcon will rebound, but he's no sure thing. Consider him more of a WR3 with a chance for more on draft day.
Sat, 07 Feb 2015 15:42:28 -0800
Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon is expected to be asked to restructure his contract this offseason to lower his $9.7 million salary cap hit in 2015.
Fantasy Tip: Garcon had an awful year with the quarterback carousel that ensued in 2014. He'll turn 29 this season and should still have some left in the tank, but he'll likely be a low-end WR3 or a high-end WR4 on draft day.
Mon, 01 Dec 2014 12:22:44 -0800
Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon needs to get the ball more in space so he can make big plays, according to head coach Jay Gruden.
Fantasy Tip: Garcon saw his highest single-game target total (9) since late September with Colt McCoy starting again in Week 13, but still caught just three passes for nine yards. Garcon isn't worth starting in any format until he can bounce back from the slump he's in.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon needs more touches, according to head coach Jay Gruden. He has eight catches in the last three games. Garcon has just one catch out of six third-down targets this season.
Fantasy Tip: Garcon ($6,500; 13% of your cap) is reasonably priced as a solid WR2 on FantasyScore this week.
Wed, 15 Oct 2014 10:11:08 -0700
Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon said the team has plenty of confidence in QB Kirk Cousins despite the team's four-game losing streak in which Cousins has struggled mightily at times. "He's just taking in a lot of stuff right now, but once he gets through this, honestly, he'll be good to go," said Garcon. Cousins has 18 touchdowns, 18 interceptions and five fumbles in 13 career games. Cousins is expected to start in Week 7 against the Tennessee Titans.
Fantasy Tip: Cousins will cost $7,000 (14.0% of cap) at FantasyScore this week. Although he has a nice matchup against the Tennessee Titans, it's hard to place too much trust in him for your lineups.
Mon, 06 Oct 2014 21:17:15 -0700
Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon had two catches for 23 yards on three targets Monday, Oct. 2. He has caught two passes or less in three of his five games this season.
Fantasy Tip: A year after leading the NFL with 113 catches, Garcon has been irrelevant at times this season. The chemistry between he and Kirk Cousins could be an issue, but whatever the reason, Garcon is tough to trust at FantasyScore right now.
Sat, 04 Oct 2014 11:23:05 -0700
Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon has caught 24 passes on 38 targets through four games. The 38 targets are sixth most in the league while the 24 catches are good enough for eighth most.
Fantasy Tip: That being said, Garcon is only WR26 in non-PPR leagues and WR21 in PPR leagues. He's not gaining many yards when he does catch the ball and he's only scored once. He's a risky option on FantasyScore at$7,000 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Mon, 28 Jul 2014 09:55:25 -0700

Washington Redskins WR Andre Roberts has admitted since the signing of WR DeSean Jackson that he might have opted to go elsewhere had he known Jackson would be signed. However, Roberts might be one of the biggest beneficiaries of having WRs Pierre Garcon and Jackson, as well as TE Jordan Reed, in the offense.
Fantasy Tip: Roberts might be undrafted in most fantasy formats, but he could be an early-season waiver wire gem if he gets off to a good start and the Washington offense clicks out of the gate.
Thu, 05 Jun 2014 11:40:52 -0700
Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon thinks he and WR DeSean Jackson can become the top receiving duo in the league this season. "That's our goal -- to unseat (Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall)," Garcon said. "But I guess last year their stats were the top two receivers on the same team -- to be up there in the top 10 category for catches and yards or however they play it out. They are two good receivers, but we'll be up there next year fighting for that position."

"He's not fully healthy, obviously," Garcon said. "He's running a little bit more. But last year's RGIII was a lot different from this year's RG because of his knee. It's not surprising. We've been talking about it the whole offseason. It's the same question every day on Monday. We can find something else to talk about."

"Robert obviously can't run as fast as he did last year because of his knee brace and his knee," Garcon said. "But it's the same offense, to be honest with you. It's nothing different. It hasn't changed at all." Griffin has run the ball only nine times in the first two games, but none were designed runs or in the zone read option. Five or more rushers have been sent in at Griffin by the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers 42 percent of the time in these last two weeks. Last year, teams only sent five or more rushers on 21 percent of their snaps.

Fantasy Tip: Injuries to Garcon and Robert Griffin III (knee) will need to be monitored during training camp, but if both are fully healthy in Week 1, they should be an explosive duo. Garcon will likely be more valuable in standard-scoring formats as a No. 2 wideout.

He's the guy… I want to make sure me and him are on the same page. He's a big-play receiver who can do a lot of things. It's good to see him back healthy and doing a lot of stuff."
Fantasy Tip: The good news continues to roll in for Griffin as he continues to work his way back from the knee issue. While there is still a long way to go, the real test will come as training camp and preseason games approach. Continue to monitor his statues, but fantasy football players should be
